Think Taylor will make the squad this week? Boli is doing well but would be good to see him get some game time. Same with Bayo, like him to get a start and see what he can offer.

1.) 05 Oct 2019 11:36:54
Yes with the hard game on Thursday and the physical effort team put, allied to orrible plastic surface, I would freshen it up a bit. McGregor looked tired on Thursday give him a rest and play Nitcham who was only on for last few minutes. Also Hamed put in a shift bring Bauer back and put Taylor at left back, he should be used to playing on plastic pitches. Up front, I would take no chances with French Eddy and play Bayo.

2.) 05 Oct 2019 12:04:50
I agree with most; replacing the two full backs and Awesome but bringing in Ntcham is questionable. He does not tackle and never plays well away from Celtic Park. If you want to play him bring in Bitton and play him at 10. This would allow us to rest Christie and Macgregor. Having a strong bench would let us make changes depending on the way the game was going.

3.) 05 Oct 2019 15:17:33
Play the best players in their best positions. 3pts then international break. Rest no one we are fighting for a league title.

4.) 05 Oct 2019 18:29:42
Wouldn't make too many changes not to sure about Bauer after last Sun.

5.) 05 Oct 2019 19:17:46
keep a winning team together.3 points then rest anybody that needs it.

23 Jun 2019 17:12:15
Why are Celtic saying KT has his price but Calmac is not for sale. Seems odd. Surely position should be the same for both - young, talented and on long term contracts.

1.) 23 Jun 2019 18:09:13
Maybe they know something about his hip injury and are willing to let him go.

2.) 23 Jun 2019 18:20:19
Or more than likely. they haven’t told them a value, and simply said 15m isn’t close and the media are lying as usual.

3.) 23 Jun 2019 18:21:36
Because if they sell them both in the one window it represents selling the club out IMO

There would be a backlash just my opinion when as you point out they are on long term contract's.

4.) 23 Jun 2019 19:47:21
Or maybe KT has told them he wants to move on. I think he’ll be gone by the end of this window.

5.) 24 Jun 2019 08:25:50
I think KT wants to go onto the highest level plus from what I heard was that he wasn't keen on the standard of players being brought in.

01 Sep 2018 08:11:50
Someone is going to have to explain to me why we didn't sell Boyata for £9m and then reinvest in someone who actually wants to play for us. We will lose him for nowt next year and he is not as good as he thinks he is. Stupid decision as I'm certain if our scouts did their job we could get a decent CB for £5m or so. One of several bad decisions this window. They aren't great but will win most of their games and the game on Sunday is a must win to put down a marker.

{Ed002's Note - A good CB has arrived on loan.}

1.) 01 Sep 2018 09:06:08
Emanuel emenike is a free agent might be worth a punt big burly striker could do Us a turn as cover fir Griffiths and eddy.

2.) 01 Sep 2018 09:44:44
Chink67 I think that the plan could have been to get through the qualifiers then punt him.
We needed him for they games and the manager knew it.
The gaffer expected him to be a professional and if he had I've no doubt we'd have qualified.

3.) 01 Sep 2018 11:06:23
Heaney, Eminike is a good player but do you know if he has calmed down with age? Seem to remember he was a bit of a bam on and off the field.

4.) 01 Sep 2018 11:57:29
Lacina Traore is also unattached and guiseppe Rossi but he was always injured.

5.) 01 Sep 2018 12:04:23
He’s 31 now think he would be sound enough as cover but don’t think Rodgers would mind a challenge as long as he can still put the ball in the net.

6.) 01 Sep 2018 09:19:19
How do we know he is a good CB ed? let's face it, he got a move to leicester for a huge fee, but he is very young with very little experience. Ajer and hendry are bomb scares together and now we are relying on an unknown and boyata, a player who does not want to be here. Rodgers must be gutted. Is it just me or does anyone else see that we are going backwards? The morale and harmony in the squad can't be great after the exploits of boyata and dembele. Forgive the negativity but a 22yr unknown Cb on loan and a 31yr freebie that no one else wanted just won't do it for me. ☘HH.

{Ed002's Note - Filip Benković picked Leicester over Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan and Chelsea with Spurs also showing an interest. He may well be unknown to you but he is well respected in the game. I hope he fails miserably at Celtic so you are not disappointed.}

7.) 01 Sep 2018 13:27:06
The CB has been chased by some big clubs including ours for years and the free that no one wanted was signing foe Swansea till we approach him.

8.) 01 Sep 2018 13:43:30
Just because he was linked to various clubs does not reflect his ability, he may well have potential but we don't need potential, we need ability particularly at the back! The fact he picked leicester over the clubs you mentioned ed tells me that he lacks ambition and favours money, dortmund would have been a great place for him to go! Or maybe these clubs you mentioned are just media hype. Anyway ed I ask again how do we know he is any good and not just another experiment? Please try and reply without being sarcastic. We all know we can't afford to have another experiment at the back. ☘HH.

{Ed002's Note - Just forget it then. Try the approach of screaming vile abuse at him and start up a hate group on Facebook and force him out of the club. I truly hope he fails completely and loses Celtic multiple games to keep you happy.}

9.) 01 Sep 2018 13:51:30
I think the boy looks brilliant. I would play him tomorrow with Boyata. The only downer is he will leave before our CK qualifiers next season.

10.) 01 Sep 2018 13:58:30
For years kev, really? And we stole a 31 yr freebie from swansea, lol I should think so! Look I am just a bit concerned about where we are going and the signings we are making, like many fans I am not convinced. We are weaker than we were, no doubt about it. We lost armstrong, dembele and roberts who were first picks. Our defence is poor and we go out and get a freebie from killie, an unknown cb on loan, 2 young boys who are far from first team material and a LB who we punted a year ago. Forgive me for not being ecstatic. ☘HH.

11.) 01 Sep 2018 14:27:55
Benkovic is a coup the board done well in that respect to get him here. Him Boyata and Ajer at the back will tear it up this season.

12.) 01 Sep 2018 14:27:56
Benkovic will be or is the best CB at our club make no mistake this boy is a great player watch and see.

13.) 01 Sep 2018 14:29:41
Would you rather we go out and sign 14 players who are not in our league.

14.) 01 Sep 2018 15:17:56
No marco, but their two centre halfs would walk into our team. ☘HH.

15.) 01 Sep 2018 15:56:18
he has to be a troll 😂 Benkovic is a fantastic signing and hopefully will bring the best out of Jozo as well. 4 solid centre halves in the squad, until big Starvin Marvin comes in and plays a sweeper as part of a one man defence. Solid.

16.) 01 Sep 2018 16:33:50
Armstrong and Roberts first picks?
Guess you didn't watch us last season
Both where on bench when fit.
Both CBs would walk in to our team?
I smell 💩💩💩💩💩.

17.) 01 Sep 2018 17:10:39
Is that supposed to be light hearted kev? ☘HH.

18.) 01 Sep 2018 18:19:54
Goldson and there other CH are rotten they are terrible under pressure and have no pace we will take 3 or 4 off them and I’m willing to wager you on that and I never bet.

24 Feb 2018 22:46:36
Said it before and will say it again, not trying to get McGinn was a mistake. He is better now than Kouassi, Armstrong and more reliable than Rogic and eventually could play the Broony role.

1.) 25 Feb 2018 11:40:54
Top players from other spl clubs that have joined simply haven't stood the test of time. Brown, LG and SA (1 season) when on form have been exceptions. Our top players almost always are brought in from abroad. If the talent isn't there domestically, which it isn't, we have to continue to look further afield. I like McGinn but will he take this team up a level? I don't think so.
From our first team squad there could be GK departures. 3 defenders, 4 mf and 2 strikers. From the loaned out list Christie looks like the only one likely to get any game time.
To replace the likely departures 6 players at a bare minimum have to be brought in. For me they ALL need to be first team ready. 25M might do that. I'd say we won't go north of 12.

2.) 26 Feb 2018 13:40:19
Scott McDonald, Caldwell, Robson, Hartley, McNamara, Mark Wilson, Stokes, Mulgrew, Agathe etc

all our own youth players are domestic as well.

Paul Lambert was developed at SPL clubs

sure there has been as many failures but you can count as many failures we have signed from foreign leagues also.

Anyone know what's happening with Taylor? I appreciate Boli is playing well but would have thought a role off the bench would have at least come his way by now. He was in recent Scotland squads so isn't injured.

07 Oct 2019 15:04:52
Games v the mob will decide the league. If they turned us over they would be 7 ahead, the didn't and they won't which is why we will win the league, AGAIN. Fact.

1.) 07 Oct 2019 16:34:12
After the international games we play Ross County at home and that mob are away to hearts the next day &a draw would have us level on points.

2.) 07 Oct 2019 17:07:21
12 league games before we play the zombies again. Personally don't care about any other trophies this season. Win all 12 would be a great marker. Aberdeen away after Lazio away will be tough. Tynecastle is hard for us. Last minute winner last time.

3.) 07 Oct 2019 17:32:23
Our next 9 games up to December we have 6 at home 2 away and 1 game at Hampden and I'm confident we will win most. The panty wetters were up in arms around this time last year when Kilmarnock went top of the leagu.

4.) 07 Oct 2019 18:11:14
Chinks you are sounding like them, an opinion cannot be a fact ever.
Fair enough if u think we will win the league but don't cloud it as a fact.

5.) 07 Oct 2019 18:29:29
Chinks, IF sevco had beat Celtic they would have been 8 points ahead.
The only time the old club had won the 4 league games against Celtic and took 12 points out of 12 was the year they clinched 9 in a row, yet they only won the league by 5 points.

6.) 07 Oct 2019 23:00:02
Chinks, because you use CAPITALS and say Fact doesn't make it so.
This is going to be very tight and a lot harder than people think.

7.) 08 Oct 2019 00:04:02

Celtic are better than Sevco
Celtic park is better than Ibrox

You say opinions can never be fact, I beg to differ🤔.

8.) 08 Oct 2019 11:14:05
Putting fact at the end of a load of p*sh doesn't make it true. You're totally disregarding the other teams in the league. A mistake our players have made. If it's games against Rangers that determine the league then how come we're not top at this stage?

9.) 08 Oct 2019 19:59:37
Load of pish. FACT.

02 Sep 2019 17:58:03
Yesterday's fixture is on paper the toughest we will face. So if we apply the same commitment and mentality we should romp it and possibly go undefeated. Optimistic but why not.

1.) 02 Sep 2019 18:28:46
Sevco have to come to us next so if we can keep winning up till then we could really create a gap when they visit.

2.) 02 Sep 2019 18:45:05
Mally the sevies will drop points again before they come to Paradise.

3.) 02 Sep 2019 18:49:31
Mally, Scotrrail were rubbing it in to them this morning at every stop. ‘Please mind the gap when alighting from this train’. Think I’ll spend all day on the train tomorrow too! 👍.

01 Sep 2019 19:23:56
Granted KT is a big loss but when u look at the back 4 today plus big Forster minus Ajer I think we are stronger as a unit than last year. Thoughts?

1.) 01 Sep 2019 19:33:44
Julien is a great signing.

2.) 01 Sep 2019 19:48:06
Posted exactly that earlier chinks👍.

3.) 01 Sep 2019 19:58:13
It's the depth I like. Ok we talked about lustig playing CB but almahed can and did. Bitton can, ajer can go the other way. simo is a bit injury prone for me but good on his day. Another lb and were good in there. Question for me is does today change anything for Hayes?

4.) 01 Sep 2019 20:17:02
The problem we had last year was that KT missed a big part of the season through injury so in many ways we've been having to adapt to playing without him for quite a while now. HH.

5.) 01 Sep 2019 20:55:43
Mental that people wrote Julien off so quickly as well, along with about half the other signings 🤨
Really like Nir at CB now though, great to have that option and he was cool as anything today 😎.

6.) 01 Sep 2019 21:35:48
This isn’t hindsight but I would have preferred Hayes playing left back against rangers and Cluj where we played McGregor there. I thought he done well there in the Scottish cup final when kt was out.

7.) 01 Sep 2019 21:36:51
That was a reply for phlipflop.

01 Sep 2019 17:08:32
Very impressed today and that is without Ajer and Elyounoussi. Hopefully get one more in and sone of the fringe players - Hendry, Kouassi, Ralston, Miller, Sinky, Gordon, moved on/ loaned out. #itwillbe10. 🍀💪Bossed it.

But Killie might want Miller to fill Taylor's position and otherwise won't sell - no time to source replacement.

Hope so. Given Arsenal signed KT for £25m and he is recuperating from Op surely we can risk £3m of the £25m on Turnbull if Op was a success as reported.

JFP1888, but if they only beat us 3 times that season and we won 1 we would have won the league surely?

We have 3 games left v sevco. If we win them all the league will most probably be ours. That’s 9 points they have lost out on, if by some miraculous intervention (officialdom) they manage that feat, it’s an 18 point swing. So for me these games will be decisive on the title.

Rogic is probably on £10k a week, so next 2 years will cost us just over £1m, maybe £1.5m tops. We can't get anyone near that money to replace him, injury prone or not it's a no brainer to keep him. On his day (even if rare) he is one of our best players and a match winner.

DRA1967, neither is giving it away 25 yards from Your own goal, as we did against PSG. Horses for courses, ma man.
