BBC reporting that Niel Lennon has said big Jozo is out till next year, luckily our defence are playing well.

A.glasgow.green

1.) 27 Sep 2019 18:29:18
No matter how good he is Jozo will never be able to be relied on. As soon as he's fit enough we should cut our losses and move him on.

2.) 27 Sep 2019 20:58:10
Very difficult to cut our losses as he will fail a medical wherever he goes. Don't know how long left on his contract but don't think we should renew it with his injury problems, pity cause he's good asset when fit.

3.) 27 Sep 2019 21:17:31
I've never really liked Jozo makes far too many rash decisions on the pitch for my liking.

4.) 27 Sep 2019 22:32:19
I always thought he was a very good player.

5.) 27 Sep 2019 23:26:33
Very easy to cut our loses. Pay him off as soon as he's fit.
Support him till he is though.

6.) 27 Sep 2019 23:57:23
Agree with you Roy. He's never been consistent with either form or fitness. Though he's been worth every penny he's been paid for that tackle on Kenny Miller!

7.) 28 Sep 2019 09:04:19
Kev83
I'm lost give him his full contract up front. Or hope he takes a loss to leave. Both won't happen.

8.) 29 Sep 2019 07:46:00
I think big jozo is a brilliant center half when he is fit and I don't want him to go.

Celtic at home to Thistle in the cup.

A.glasgow.green

1.) 18 Aug 2019 17:54:03
Let's get practicing the penalties πŸ‘.

2.) 18 Aug 2019 18:51:44
Jennie: let's be more positive, we will beat them in 90mins. and beat them well.

3.) 18 Aug 2019 18:59:54
I'm sure we will peterbhoy. It was meant as a lighthearted bit of banter. Chill son HH.

4.) 18 Aug 2019 19:53:25
JennyFleck, cmon, you should know your not allowed even a wee bit banter to try and brighten the mood πŸ˜‚.

5.) 18 Aug 2019 20:14:49
Aye, was swithering whether to put it up or not lol.

6.) 18 Aug 2019 21:13:09
aww well jenny, you have let us all know your age bracket (50/ 60)
at least you are of an age to have a great insight to our great club hail hail.

7.) 18 Aug 2019 22:20:38
Too true Robroy.

8.) 19 Aug 2019 07:22:09
Seen we got drawn against Partick I wonder what lennon will come out and say if we get beat. Will it be this is a good lesson for the new recruits to taste aa defeat. Lennon is a complete Moron he was not my choice for manager and I was gutted when we gave him the job there must have been someone better than him to take the job or did the board not even look at anyone else.

11 Aug 2019 08:49:38
Reports from the BBC today that Celtic are interested in Everton and DR Congo winger Yannick Bolasie.

A.glasgow.green

1.) 11 Aug 2019 09:55:55
Is he any good.

2.) 11 Aug 2019 10:33:25
According to reports he's not been the same player since his cruciate ligament injury, also on 80 grand a week so don't see it happening.

3.) 11 Aug 2019 11:14:59
Just read Bolasie rumour on some site, came in to see if any truth. When he was at Palace he was immense! One of those players that when you see him live on park he sparks! Occasionally went to Palace games and thought-this guy is a demon! Like RC-he can play as CAM, winger or maybe even CF. 30 yrs but totally amazing signing if it happens.

4.) 11 Aug 2019 12:48:19
I totally agree with that Davie when he was @ Palace he was fantastic and would have loved us to move for him then just before the fees went threw the roof. But he has never really kicked a ball at Everton only ever been a bit part player

But a suppose if he was a stick out we would not have a chance of landing him (Y)

5.) 11 Aug 2019 14:38:04
Yeah guys, the BIG problem is, he is on Β£80k per week.

I get the big target man. but I think we need a player say another
Β£9m-10m striker that is younger, but has experience but has a good few years left on him.

6.) 11 Aug 2019 15:37:00
Too many injuries and final ball is dick. Sorry not a good idea in my opinion.

7.) 11 Aug 2019 16:47:29
5 star skills on fifa 18 get him signed πŸ˜‚.

8.) 11 Aug 2019 17:38:40
Greg Taylor this week maybe joining according reports?

9.) 11 Aug 2019 18:19:35
Hahaha bigD are you a Sevvie scout? πŸ˜‚ Wages like that will always scupper us!

10.) 11 Aug 2019 18:21:09
Better off with Dennis Taylor! If that’s how high we’re aiming I’m worried!

11.) 12 Aug 2019 00:52:30
Sarcasm daviebhoy.

20 May 2019 10:16:14
So Moyes is today's new bookie favourite, I really hope not πŸ™„.

A.glasgow.green

1.) 20 May 2019 10:51:16
Can’t understand all the negativity around Davey Moyes, he’s done well at most of his previous posts, hand picked for Man Utd by Fergi, his record was decent and compares favourably with LVG and Jose, he we have us well organised and he is high profile manager who knows the club, can spot a player, got good contacts at top flight English clubs and knows what going for 9/ 10 IAR is all about, IMHO we are daydreaming of Jose, Rafa, AVB types that are fantasy managers, Moyes ticks a lot of boxes for what we need moving forward.

05 May 2019 12:36:15
Do Celtic have a sell on clause on Moussa Dembele?, talk of man united wanting him for 43 million.

A.glasgow.green

1.) 05 May 2019 13:13:22
No one seems to know for sure.

2.) 05 May 2019 14:08:15
Remember during the VVD to Liverpool saga there was lots of speculation about whether we were due 10% of the fee or the profits. I don't know if these things actually get confirmed other than being declared in the accounts.

3.) 05 May 2019 13:52:31
Ed has said a couple of times that there isn't.

{Ed007's Note - The wording on the SE release says we received a "record single amount" and at the time there was no reports of any add-ons. Supposing we have a sell-on clause of 10%, that means that we didn't receive a "record single amount" of 22 million Euros for Dembele, it would need to be included in the Stock Exchange release.
Remember too that it would only be 10% of any profit Lyon made, so 22 million off the rumoured 50 million Euros fee leaves 28 million Euros would give us a 'windfall' of 2.8 million Euros.
Lawwell was raging with Dembele and his people so went in playing hardball during negotiations with Lyon and was adamant that there would be no structured deal like a normal transfer and that that he wanted every penny paid up front, a sell-on clause isn't getting everything paid up front and it wouldn't be a "record single amount".}

4.) 07 May 2019 22:16:59
Still don't understand why they gave into Dembelle, they should have said no, think Moussa, is a good Pro, and would have implied himself to the team, if they had just said, is ok we will sell you in the summer, but is no point crying over spilt milk, as they say, is done.

5.) 08 May 2019 17:42:24
Aindoh think brendan Fraudgers played a massive part in Dembele wanting to leave.

12 Oct 2019 13:42:00
Just for a bit of fun guys as it's the international break, what is your favourite " Celtic player's name " mine has got to be Barney Battles.

A.glasgow.green

1.) 12 Oct 2019 16:34:24
Jan Vennegor of Helensburgh πŸ€—.

2.) 12 Oct 2019 17:18:40
I like foreign names usually lol but I’ll go for comical side and go for big BoBo’s name, I have 4 kids so it rubs of a bit lol bobo going to get yee.

3.) 12 Oct 2019 17:46:17
RafaelπŸ’©πŸ’©.

4.) 12 Oct 2019 17:51:48
Rafael sheidt.

5.) 12 Oct 2019 17:58:13
My old granda used to make us laugh with big Pierre he called him big who do you think. Glasgow am I right in saying Barney battles was another tragic story of a player dieing very young in his late 20s early 30s or am I thinking if someone else.

6.) 12 Oct 2019 19:36:31
He was 30 when he died Jaw, he scored 2 goals in our record 11-0 win against Dundee in 1895.

{Ed007's Note - Jaw are you thinking of a player called PETER SCARFF?

7.) 12 Oct 2019 19:55:12
Another good name Ed, he was a Celtic scarff.

{Ed007's Note - The first I ever heard of him was about 3 years ago and he probably deserves a bit more recognition these days than he appears to get.}

8.) 12 Oct 2019 20:45:16
Being a maryhill bhoy ed you'd think I'd know more about scarf but to be honest I'd actually never heard of him that was good piece on the link you put up on him.

{Ed007's Note - Another moving & tragic chapter of our great Club's history mate. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam πŸ™

9.) 12 Oct 2019 21:12:13
Enrico Annoni, helped stop the 10.
A fan once jokingly shouted β€œ Aw naw, no Annoni oan an aw noo! ” when Enrico came on as a sub. πŸ˜‚.

10.) 13 Oct 2019 08:32:57
Morten (hung like a horse) Wieghorst. So the story went.

11.) 13 Oct 2019 11:45:53
John " twinkle toes " Collins. Apparently he wore a size 5 boot.

12.) 13 Oct 2019 14:30:40
Rolando Ugolini goalkeeper from 1950s.

05 Oct 2019 11:28:39
Bolingoli and Elyounoussi both made the EL dream team for matchday 2, HH.

A.glasgow.green

1.) 05 Oct 2019 20:27:19
And Forster?

30 Sep 2019 18:45:16
So the SPFL in their wisdom have decided that Celtic will play 9 games in December πŸ™„.

A.glasgow.green

1.) 30 Sep 2019 19:07:12
So do the rangers.

2.) 30 Sep 2019 19:26:05
Wasn't even thinking of them Pud, just think it's a lot of games for the one month.

3.) 30 Sep 2019 19:30:32
I suppose it's because of this break in January.
I would rather do without this break as the fixtures are being piled into what is already an expensive month for most people.

4.) 30 Sep 2019 21:04:10
Slippy moaned to anyone and the press about having to play at midday after the feyenoord game well it's us this Sunday but that'll not be mentioned . wish he'd stop the bloody moaning.

5.) 30 Sep 2019 22:46:42
There's always loads of games in DecemberπŸ‘.

6.) 30 Sep 2019 22:06:07
Guys for some reason the SPFL have slipped in an extra game for us total 9 in december, and by my counting new club only play 8 games, fail to fathom that out.

7.) 01 Oct 2019 00:55:45
December is always a hectic schedule before the winter shutdown. That's when a strong squad is needed. Is the league cup final in December? .

8.) 01 Oct 2019 07:19:53
December always hectic. Always like the winter shut down and good for the players. Excellent for the support gives or wallets a wee break. Santa is always expensive.

9.) 01 Oct 2019 11:21:15
Write a letter Tim πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

10.) 01 Oct 2019 17:57:49
7 games they play and wee play 9. wee have to play our postponed game in december because of the betfred semis and there game is put off till next year its gave us a massive pile up 4 games in 9 days make of it what you will. why have we to play our wile there's is called of to next year.

11.) 01 Oct 2019 20:10:04
And when we come through it still top and they have to catch up in the depth of winter, it could take them a while to get the game played. Im looking at it as a chance to stretch our lead.

28 Sep 2019 16:11:08
I don't think we should be complaint too much about today's result guy's, first 7 games undefeated, HH keep the faith.

A.glasgow.green

1.) 28 Sep 2019 17:05:50
Yip, that result was unlucky and harsh. They got a very fortunate goal. Just wasnt our day. Im more worried about livi away to be honest. Needs to slightly rotate the squad higher up the pitch.

2.) 28 Sep 2019 17:00:58
Thing is GG - Sevco are beating EVERY team below them and as the superior team - so should we! That was about our strongest squad today but NL made a box of it ably assisted by Clancys blind eye.
