UEFA have confirmed that Midtjylland didn't do anything wrong and that Juninho was legible to play last week against Celtic.
They mentioned that Juninho's worldwide ban started from August 2nd.
It's total nonsense from UEFA because Juninho received an 8 game ban in July but the full details of his ban are not known until August.
That's a new one.
Similar to last year, UEFA have struggled to show real leadership and it was too much of a mess for them to try and rectify.

Would of been a hard scenario to fix, to much headache for them after the next round started. would of been a classic tho if we did get another by. could u imagine sevcos reaction. 😂😂😂o well onwards and upwards. HH.

2.) 04 Aug 2021 20:45:23
Like The SFA and SPFL they are not fit for purpose and apparently, run by self-serving, corrupt, make-it-up-as-you-go, buncha crooks.

3.) 04 Aug 2021 21:34:23
The thing is it wasn't a conspiracy against Celtic it was just incompetence from the governing body we just move on from that one I think.

4.) 04 Aug 2021 22:18:57
Were out of our own downfall, would of been embarrassing to get that lifeline for the 3rd time, but eufa still might to look at this, would be interesting to see the official verdict and back up documents, maybe but Neil sent a memo 😂🙈.

5.) 05 Aug 2021 07:28:35
To be honest we’ve no one to blame bar the board for us being where we are in these qualifiers. That said I do find it bizarre a player can get an initial 8 game world wide ban, sign for another club, play a couple of games then his hands continues? But then again it’s uefa, they do as they please. Is what it is.

04 Aug 2021 16:12:40
Celtic could again be interested in trying to sign Liverpool and Ex Preston star Ben Davies.
It's been reported that Liverpool are open to a loan move for their Centre Back, with an option to buy included in a deal.
A left footed CB would be a great signing for Celtic.

Buzz Bomb 10

1.) 04 Aug 2021 17:35:43
Take him In a heart beat.

2.) 04 Aug 2021 17:39:48
please sign him postecoglu.

3.) 04 Aug 2021 17:50:38
I'd happily take him,

4.) 04 Aug 2021 18:00:22
Liverpool already stated he’s not available for loan a couple of weeks ago.
They done something similar with Kent and in the end only let him leave on a permanent transfer.
I’d offer £3m and get him in, he would be our best defender and is also good in possession.

30 Jul 2021 13:39:33
It’s now being reported that Brighton haven’t even made an enquiry about Edouard.

Buzz Bomb 10

1.) 30 Jul 2021 13:51:15
Presumably a bit like Ajer in that we're waiting to sell before we spend more. This one could go on another month though. Announce a Dudu Duhan approved panic buy on deadline day.

2.) 30 Jul 2021 21:58:53
If Eddy played the way we know he can he wouldn't be in the position he finds himself in with very few transfer options.

Maybe it's the C.V. that's pulled the purse strings on many clubs not making a move for him but surely if he pulled his finger out of his stroppy sphincter and started performing he would get the move he desires!

Brighton isn't the dizzy heights I expected him to potentially end up at and he is surely either going to get a grip, sign a contract extension with a buy out clause and play to prove to the bigger clubs he's worth buying, or push for a move to a mediocre team simply because he has no desire to be here anymore and let us utilise his transfer fee to strengthen the team!

3.) 31 Jul 2021 11:18:01
I hope Edourad isn't thinking about running his contract down and leaving for free there doesn't seem to be any interest in him anymore, well public interest I will probably be wrong though.

4.) 31 Jul 2021 13:05:25
Ed needs to be sold. He is clearly not interested anymore.

5.) 31 Jul 2021 15:12:15
He's not as good as he thinks he is.

29 Jul 2021 15:47:31
According to Sly Sports,
Celtic have approached Spurs about Joe Hart.
And Celtic are also interested in Watford keeper Ben Foster.

Buzz Bomb 10

1.) 29 Jul 2021 16:26:32
Foster spoke highly of celtic on a podcast last week, that's enough for the media to make up a story.

2.) 29 Jul 2021 16:34:30
I’d take Foster, bit old but the guy is a proper decent bloke and would give his all. Maybe a good mentor for the younger players on how to be a professional.

3.) 29 Jul 2021 16:53:49
Would we take the 2 keepers if Ange has no Faith in any we have?

4.) 29 Jul 2021 17:20:32
Surely we could get some one head and shoulders better than Joe Hart? I can't say I rate him even more now I just hope this is click bait.

5.) 29 Jul 2021 17:26:24
No chance we’re taking both of them Peterboy both of them will be on a pretty penny and celtic ain’t paying that kind of money for one of them to Be sitting on the bench. It’s been a rubbish show same as every year. We know we are starting earlier than everyone else and with players needing to quarantine has only made it worse. Edouard shouldn’t even have started IMO he's been looking a shell of the player he is.

6.) 29 Jul 2021 17:34:25
Is foster not Watford’s No 1, doubt he would swap EPL for our dross if he is.

7.) 29 Jul 2021 17:39:38
I half expected the rumours to be thick and fast today normally the Celtic thing to do over the last 3/ 4 years when we fail to qualify for the Champions League.

8.) 29 Jul 2021 17:48:51
I imagine Dhalberg will finally get his chance as Watford No1.

9.) 29 Jul 2021 19:13:18
ben forster says on his podcast he wants one more year at watford then he wants to go to the usa. but after the way he spoke about us he may consider us i would think.

10.) 30 Jul 2021 14:32:04
Ken, is it not Stevie Woods job to mentor young keepers as part of his role as our goalkeeping coach? HH.

26 Jul 2021 13:43:18
According to reliable journalist Stephen McGowan, a deal for George Baldock is dead.
It’s due to the “difficulties “ dealing with his club Sheffield Utd.

Buzz Bomb 10

1.) 26 Jul 2021 14:36:27
So it's money buzz.

2.) 26 Jul 2021 14:42:30
thank god for that bang average full back for inflated transfer fee and wages.

3.) 26 Jul 2021 15:25:36
Imo he would have been a tremendous signing.

4.) 26 Jul 2021 15:58:26
100% mally.

5.) 26 Jul 2021 16:12:49
Based on what? he's 28, off the back of a dreadful season and basically no experience of playing European football, other players we've been linked with seem much better options.

6.) 26 Jul 2021 16:52:30
Or could be simply that he is playing for the team he loves and has done since a boy.

7.) 26 Jul 2021 19:06:53
What European experience do the others have? Yeah Sheffield united didn't have a great year but that doesn't mean good players don't play for them. Anyone who watched him the following season knows he was a good player. United where very unlucky with injuries.

8.) 26 Jul 2021 19:22:32
Brum you clearly haven't watched this boy or you wouldn't be coming out with absolute nonsense. get a grip man.

I'm actually thinking nothing will happen regarding the Midtjylland fiasco.
I read someone stating, that a club must write to the UEFA disciplinary board within 24 hours of the match in question about any queries.
The timeline wouldn't be extended incase it disrupted that particular competition.

Buzz Bomb 10

04 Aug 2021 11:44:59
UEFA have a disciplinary panel of 16 members.
* A Chairman who is from Austria.
* 2 Vice-Chairmen who are from DENMARK and Hungary.
* 13 other board members who include Neil Doncaster and representatives from England and Republic of Ireland.

To make a decision ( which doesn't include expulsion ) there only needs to be at least 3 board members which have to include -
The Austrian Chairman
A Vice-Chairman which should be the Hungarian.
And one other board member.

I can remember in 1984 it was only 3 UEFA disciplinary board members who overturned their original decision about Rapid Vienna.

UEFA originally fined Rapid Vienna, I think £6K after the Rapid players totally lost their discipline at Celtic Park.
Rapid Vienna appealed the decision and incredibly the 3 UEFA board members overturned the original decision in Rapid's favour.
Overturning the original decision became more baffling when UEFA doubled the fine towards Rapid Vienna.
It didn't make sense.

Not a peep from the Scottish media so there must be more to the ineligible player story. McClean on ssb was on the phone within minutes trying to find out if we had screwed up the Abada situation with UEFA.

03 Aug 2021 12:57:57
Premier Sports are now showing the Aberdeen away tie in the Conference League Qualifier on Thursday.
The Celtic game won’t be shown live by any broadcasters.
I thought Celtic could’ve came to a deal to show it live on our pass to paradise channel, similar to last season.

Buzz Bomb 10

1.) 03 Aug 2021 14:49:37
It's on Celtic tv Buzz if you have iptv and a vpn.

2.) 03 Aug 2021 15:43:09
Plenty of websites will be showing it, you also don't need a VPN unless you are downloading content.
All a VPN does is reduce you bandwidth when you are streaming live and can cause buffering.

3.) 03 Aug 2021 15:51:31
Hesgoals will have it also, usually has all the games.

4.) 03 Aug 2021 16:03:45
A VPN isn't only reducing your bandwidth, it creates anonymity and allows you to mask your IP to a different Country/ Region to get around content restrictions in your own Country. For example, if you want to get certain Netflix shows that aren't available in the UK, set your VPN to USA and logout then back in, content line up is very different.

02 Aug 2021 16:43:19
Celtic will now be guaranteed to be playing 5 home games in a row in only 14 days.
Dundee August 8th
Jablonec August 12th
Hearts August 15th
AZ or Tobol ( winners ) August 19th
St. Mirren August 22nd.
It could give us a chance to get a few wins and help build momentum.

Buzz Bomb 10

1.) 02 Aug 2021 17:12:24
Buzz, if we can get the new guys settled and get past Jablonec, then add another couple and get by AZ then that would be a great momentum builder. My worry is that we aren't going to give Ange what he needs in time. AZ would be a tough opponent but should hold absolutely no fear.

2.) 02 Aug 2021 18:20:16
It would be a bonus if attendances are also allowed to increase?

02 Aug 2021 13:22:14
If we don't beat Jablonec, Celtic could be travelling to Kazakhstan a few days before we visit Ibrox.
All this hassle because we weren't fit enough to take care of Midtjylland.

Buzz Bomb 10

1.) 02 Aug 2021 13:47:38
We really should have enough to get through this round.

It would be a 'Catastrophe' if we dont.

2.) 02 Aug 2021 13:50:34
I agree DK. The last draw could’ve been harder.

3.) 02 Aug 2021 13:57:57
The club from Kazakhstan are better than I thought.
They are top of their league after 19 league games and have only lost One match.
Hopefully we take care of the Czech’s and it will become irrelevant.

4.) 02 Aug 2021 16:04:59
Lads let be fair it we can't best them then this is brutal.

I thought it was certainty that Midtjylland would be found guilty today.
I know Marco you weren’t as confident and you were right.

Usually if a player gets banned they would know the details of their ban immediately.
It doesn’t make sense that Juninho would receive a ban in July but he would need to wait until August for the details of his suspension.
All FIFA did yesterday was confirm it was already a worldwide ban since July.
Juninho is guilty and Midtjylland are also guilty.

aindoh,
Midtjylland’s argument is they thought it was okay to play Juninho until FIFA decided if it was a worldwide ban.
The FIFA hearing was yesterday and they decided it was a worldwide ban, hence his suspension for the PSV game last night.
It looks like Midtjylland are clutching at straws.

Campsiebhoy,
I had doubts myself and I thought it was old news because Juninho’s old club were involved in another mass brawl in 2018 and 9 players were sent off.
Marco, this new information has only come to light because there’s no doubt Celtic would’ve acted if we knew last week.
UEFA can’t do nothing because the rules are there and UEFA have a history of implementing their own rules, unlike our own SFA.

There’s no denying Eddy plays better when he’s got support.
I get the feeling sometimes Eddy becomes that isolated, he gives up.

Surely UEFA would’ve announced this morning if Midtjylland were in the clear.
It’s nearly 5pm in the Uefa headquarters in Switzerland and there’s still no news.
It’s maybe taking more time because it’s a total shambles and it affects a few clubs.
I noticed UEFA struggled with making decisions and there was a lack of leadership, when the C. V struck.
Most Associations didn’t know whether they were coming or going.
