I read that today,
Maeda missed training,
Calmac played half the training session.
But Palma played a Full Training Session.

Just saw the footage of training no mention of any injuries calmac trying with the group as was palma.

2.) 12 Apr 2024 12:18:06
I'd like to see Palma in the last few games. He started off strongly then hit some poor form but hopefully he's hungry to impress during the run-in.

3.) 12 Apr 2024 16:22:39
Maeda done his hamstring. That could be a massive blow of he's out for the remainder. Especially against that mob.

29 Mar 2024 12:39:33
I read that Callum McGregor was absent from training this morning.
Scales, Hatate and even Nawrocki trained.

I read it’s been confirmed that Calmac will miss Sunday but he has a “very good chance” of making the Ibrox match.

28 Mar 2024 12:36:39
It's looking like Calmac, Hatate and Scales are all available for selection.
That was being hinted during a Celtic TV interview with Brendan.
But who will they be risked on the plastic pitch?

Buzz Bomb 10

1.) 28 Mar 2024 16:03:45
That pitch would be a gamble but 3 points are a must so it'll be interesting.

2.) 28 Mar 2024 17:47:27
I'm sure there was talk of a behind closed doors games during the international break for some of our players coming back from injury. Does anyone know if this happened?

{Ed007's Note - I know we played a bounce game against St. Mirren last Wednesday.}

07 Mar 2024 16:48:35
No word today about Callum's scan yesterday.

I don't know if that's a positive or a negative before Brendan's pre match interview tomorrow.

Buzz Bomb 10

1.) 07 Mar 2024 18:24:56
He's crucial imo especially against sevco where he normally dominates them.

2.) 08 Mar 2024 15:16:48
The scan came back as inconclusive.
Maybe that’s good news because nothing has showed up which was needing a 2nd scan.

Hopefully Calmac is back after the International break but we couldn’t have a worse match to play before Ibrox.
( plastic surface at Livingston )

3.) 08 Mar 2024 18:22:38
He bosses them buzz ????.

06 Mar 2024 17:42:43
The SFA have cited Brendan about his VAR remarks on Sunday and the hearing will take place on Thursday March 28th.

The Minimum suspension would be at least a 2 match ban.
If he's found guilty, he will miss the games away to Livingston and the Ibrox match, at least.

Buzz Bomb 10

1.) 06 Mar 2024 19:34:26
No surprise that they wait something like 28 days after the fact and less than 2 weeks before the Sevco game before they have the hearing why not have it this week? If I was Celtic I would go in top lawyer heavy and don't leave any
stone unturned. Time to call out the SFA AND THE LANARKSHIRE MOB.

2.) 06 Mar 2024 21:43:10
Don't be surprised that they apoint cheatin for the game on the 7th just to rub salt in.

I had another look at the first title I witnessed in 1982.
It was only 2 points for a win back in 1982.

Celtic were 5 points ahead of Aberdeen with only 3 games to go but Celtic also had a better goal difference of 14 goals.

Celtic had 2 home games against St. Mirren and away to Dundee Utd in between.

I was in the Main Stand Lower for the first St. Mirren match, on the Bank Holiday Monday and we got absolutely soaked for the whole match which finished goalless.

Our fans probably thought that would be enough because we had 14 goals up our cuff.

But Aberdeen then beat St. Mirren 5-1 at home followed by a 2-0 victory at Easter Road.

Celtic only needed a draw at Tannidice but we lost 3-0.

Going into the last match of the season Celtic were now only 2 points ahead and 5 goals ahead.

At half time Celtic was again goalless against St. Mirren but Aberdeen were beating Rangers 4-0.

It went from 14 goals ahead, to now only 1 goal ahead but Celtic were still also one point ahead, going into the final 45 minutes.

The pressure was now on Celtic for the second half and they never let us down.
I was in the traditional Rangers end where we scored 3 second half goals for a 3-0 victory.

The Aberdeen match finished 4-0 but it looked like Rangers were allowing Aberdeen to score as many goals as they wanted, if needed.

Celtic made it hard for ourselves but we got there in the end.

Real Madrid asked Celtic to play a Testimonial match for their Captain in the Bernabeu.
Celtic had to decline their offer because we had that rearranged Bank Holiday May Monday match against St. Mirren to play.

Over the last several seasons since Brendan first took over,
Celtic have conceded a last minute equaliser or winner, on average about ONCE a season.

This season Celtic have conceded a last minute equaliser or winner SIX times.

It's not the first time this has been mentioned this season but Celtic need to do better at seeing games out.

I'm wondering if the 2nd Semi Final will be as exciting as yesterday.

It got me thinking about the 2013 Scottish Cup Semi Finals.
Hibs came from 3-0 down to Falkirk to win 4-3 AET which was inspired by a brilliant Leigh Griffiths.

Celtic then beat Dundee Utd 4-3 AET on the Sunday.
Both clubs were leading in this match before Celtic eventually won on the day.

It was my Son's first Hampden victory after 3-2 loses to both St. Mirren and Inverness.

His first 3 Hampden visits seen 17 goals.

My Daughter remains undefeated at Hampden in about a dozen visits.

I managed to get a last minute ticket and what an exciting match.

All season long Celtic have struggled to see out certain games and it happened another couple of times today.

Celtic only had Ralston, Nawrocki and Kelly as our outfield players to pick from for our 6th sub which wasn't ideal.

Before Celtic went 3-2 ahead,
I felt the 5 more forward players in the team would take our penalties.

But then I couldn't believe we took off one of our certain penalty takers, if the worst case scenario happened, which off course it did.

It was constant drama but I always had a feeling Celtic would still make the Final.

Sometimes when your down like Aberdeen have been for a number of years, the luck isn't on your side.

And you get the luck when you've been on top for mega years and that's how it played out today.

Getting to the Final was the main thing but Celtic will need to improve, especially at game management.

Well seen you don't go to Celtic 's matches, to describe as "what an exciting match" is fair comment from a neutral, fortunate not to be out on our ronson, the entire team were well off it and more than a couple not fit to wear a celtic jersey, hopefully recruitment improves vastly with Baby Lawell and his cronies gone and us season ticket holders and European packages etc get a decent return for our money.

2.) 21 Apr 2024 09:06:40
That’s a poor first post from yourself, somebody is upset.

I’ve been going to Celtic matches since 1980,
So I know a good and exciting match when I see one.

Yesterday Aberdeen deserved credit because it was their Cup Final after a poor season.

Aberdeen have showed recently they are hard to beat at Hampden.
Aberdeen lost a Semi Final after Extra Time last season and a Final 1-0 this season.

You should be happy Celtic have Qualified for another Final because that’s what Semi Finals are all about.

Or are you still RAGING ??.

Maeda has a scan next week which will determine how long he will be out for.

You were right Ed about starting Iwata.

I’m delighted that Calmac has made our bench.
We now have 4 guys on the bench today, that came through our youths many years ago and know what it’s all about if needed.

If Calmac does come on in the 2nd half, it will be further up the park because Brendan won’t risk bringing Calmac on for Iwata with 30 minutes to go, for him to pull up injured shortly after.
Then we are screwed in that crucial position.

At least he can easily be replaced with Bernardo ETC, if he replaces Hatate in the 2nd half further up the park.

I fancy 2-1 Celtic and Kyogo to get his usual goal against them.

Buzz Bomb 10

{Ed007's Note - I'm sticking with my 3-1 prediction, Kyogo, Tav (pen), Kuhn, and Idah to get a late(ish) 3rd ?

I’m delighted with the starting lineup with the players we had available.

A victory and no more injuries would be superb.

I fancy Celtic to score 3 goals in a 3-0 or 3-1 victory.

It’s also good that Yang and Nawrocki made the bench?.

Kyogo hasn’t scored a league goal away from home in the last 6 months.
So I would start with Idah on Sunday at Dundee.

But Kyogo has a brilliant scoring record against Hearts and Sevco and both games are at Celtic Park.
I would start Kyogo in those games.

Both players will get game time in all our games if available, whether it’s 60 minutes from the start or 30 minutes off the bench.

Both strikers will have a massive part to play between now and the end of the season.

I’m sure Brendan will have his players fired up in the correct manner.
Not in the way, to give Beaton a derision to make against us.

Play the Celtic Way and Beaton won’t enter any calculations.

I’m expecting clubs in the Top 6,to now play similar balls to that back post until the end of the season.
They would be daft not too.

Scales, Taylor and Hart will need to be on their toes.
