I see that club Bruges are close to signing Victor Wanyama, come on Celtic get the finger out, this is a class act who can only enhance our team and. Who knows the club and the manager, surely we can match anything in terms of salary and competitions that they can.

1.) 21 Aug 2019 11:01:05
I feel the next 10 days in my opinion, will define our club for the next few years. I hope I'm wrong, but I feel we've left it too late to get the players in we really wanted, and will end up scrambling around. The latest on Melling doesn't give me hope, as it sounds as if Rosenberg qualify, he'll stay with them. Unless we pull a couple of rabbits out the hat, we could be in trouble. I still think we're stronger player for player than the Orcs, but it's going to be closer, of that there is no doubt. If there is indeed unrest in the dressing room, allied to poor tactical decisions, and underwhelming additions to the playing pool, it could get messy. The silence coming from parkhead is deafening, and I'd like to think we're about to announce something spectacular lol. Like I said, we have to get this right. Pete knows what's at stake, failure is unthinkable. HH.

2.) 21 Aug 2019 11:12:58
No we can't! He is a EPL player and commands a weekly wage that we could, nor should match.

3.) 21 Aug 2019 12:04:13
Think original poster is suggesting we match what brugge are offering rather than Tottenham Ignatius.

4.) 21 Aug 2019 13:10:45
Zagreb will pump Rosenberg anyway.

5.) 21 Aug 2019 13:26:22
I suppose it's possible that we did inquire and it never got off the ground? I only say this because it should have been a formality?

01 Apr 2019 19:49:06
This is not an April fool joke, but maybe some forum members can confirm more. I met a relative of a recently retired Irish International yesterday, who told me that no matter who is the manager next season, but it will be Lenny, that James McCarthy is comming end of June, deal already done. I know some on here have some close connections with him, any news?

1.) 01 Apr 2019 20:40:16
When has he last played a game? To me we have more than enough injury prone players. Good player but how many games does he average a season.

26 Mar 2019 10:02:53
Any News on what happened with Bayo and Boyata?

1.) 26 Mar 2019 13:26:26
Wasn't boyata personal reasons but bayo never heard a thing.

2.) 26 Mar 2019 13:48:22
Bayo only lasted 14 minutes of his international and missed the second game completely mally.

3.) 26 Mar 2019 14:05:25
Cheers kev missed that 👍👍.

16 Jan 2019 18:38:34
Nitcham off to Porto, I think it's ok, apart from one or two efforts, he threw in the towel when Dembelle left, big money plus Mbemba, would be a great deal, no messing about, just get it done.

1.) 16 Jan 2019 18:59:58
Not for me the bhoys going to be a star.

2.) 16 Jan 2019 19:22:32
Ntcham is quality. He is taking a bit of time to get up to full speed following injury and the emergence of Christie. I'm shocked at the attitude of fellow fans towards him leaving. For his age he has done very well for us and carried the midfield at times. There is not another player like him in Scotland, fact. I would say he will leave for a record transfer in Scottish football in a few years if we get him fit, playing regularly and doing it in Europe. I wonder how many fans calling for a swap with Mbemba have ever seen Mbemba play?

3.) 16 Jan 2019 19:45:05
Good post Buster. I'd like us to keep Ntcham as he's a quality young centre mid. But every player has their price. As for Mbemba, I always remember him popping up in these best young talents articles etc. but I wasn't impressed with what I saw at Newcastle. Still young though.

4.) 16 Jan 2019 19:58:26
It this true or just the same Porto rumour?

5.) 16 Jan 2019 20:27:42
Got to agree Kev, it’s as simple as that the bhoy is going to be a star and as buster said when fully match fit he will grow into controlling the strings in the centre of the park. Sky is the limit for Ntcham.

6.) 16 Jan 2019 20:38:17
Couldn't disagree more Malika, the guy's going to be top drawer and a few bad games won't change that. He was the main man in midfield last season and he made everything tick. I'd play him and McGregor and him together with Christie in the No. 10 position at least until Tam comes back from the Asian Cup. A wee run of games alongside a guy who's been consistency personified all season will bring out the best in him rather than playing next to Brown who's arguably been equally as poor in recent weeks.

7.) 16 Jan 2019 20:45:48
Ed hit the nail on the head. He's been playing beside brown who's touch has gone and passes have been horrendous. So Ntcham has had to cover or recover and drop deeper than he would like.

8.) 16 Jan 2019 21:32:15
Toprig there’s no way you can blame Brown for Ntcham’s poor form. I’m a big Ntcham fan but his form leading up to the game against that lot was poor that’s why he found himself on the bench for a few games. The guy is bound to have a dip in form he can’t be outstanding every game but I’m not having that this was down to playing beside Broony.

9.) 16 Jan 2019 21:50:17
I would go with the theory that Brown makes Ntcham not play to his full potential, I don't know, maybe there is a place for Brown in midfield now, in a sort of Nobby Stiles role, but I think his age has caught up with him now and he holds the team back.

10.) 16 Jan 2019 22:15:18
Ntcham must be a good player, if he wasn't the MSSM wouldn't bother trying to upset him and create doubt in his mind and in the minds of gullible supporters .
We would be better supporting NtCham and encourage him to play at the height of his ability more often.

11.) 16 Jan 2019 22:26:41
Nitcham will be top drawer if he puts in the work.
To say playing with brown has made nitcham poor is just utter nonsense.
Nitcham didn’t try a leg in the sevco game and hid the whole second half, at least brown put himself about, wasn’t his best game but brown never hides.

12.) 16 Jan 2019 23:37:10
Ntcham is too inconsistant to be a top drawer player. Take what we can get for him now and move on.
He looks good when he has plenty of time on the ball, but away from home when he gets closed down quicker or playing against good opponents, he struggles to play a first time ball accurately. Most plays stop with him giving the ball away needlessly.
I also feel that sometimes he is not up for the fight and he can put more effort in.

13.) 16 Jan 2019 23:58:21
I think Ntcham and McGregor would work a treat in the middle better than Brown and Ntcham. Both rangy passers and both a goal threat too. Agree everyone has their price another season to prove his worth wouldn't be too bad but sell if he's only going to play second fiddle especially if the price quoted is right. But take it with a pinch of salt as it's all likely unsettling tactics.

14.) 17 Jan 2019 01:08:15
There is a player in Ntcham and we have seen glimpses of it but his attitude doesn't look right at times. If that can't be fixed and Porto are offering serious cash then sell but only if the money is reinvested in the playing squad.

15.) 17 Jan 2019 09:54:07
There may be a player in nitcham but is he the guy u want in the trenches. The games against hibs and rangers in particular he was shocking. He doesn't look like a guy who wants to be there. Yes he is quality but Personally l would take a good offer as l think if it does come he would want to go.

16.) 17 Jan 2019 10:42:45
Ntcham has played about 10 good games for us. Find him good when it's going good but when we have to dig in he goes missing.

17.) 17 Jan 2019 11:25:38
It wasn't about not hiding, or trying his best, it was the fact he was there instead of McGregor, he disturbed the Feng Shui of the whole midfield, with Brown in midfield he takes over a role, or a position that McGregor or Ntcham would have been interpreting to a much better advantage, but because Brown is more senior and is seen as the 'beating heart' of the team, he is given too much deference by his teammates where as the opposition don't hold him in such high esteem, and they exploit his weaknesses whereas a younger Brown would have brushed them aside, it's called getting old, you always think you are just as fit and effective as you were when you were twenty three, but you're not, you're older and more experienced, but slower, someday you just got to accept it, c'est la vie.

18.) 17 Jan 2019 16:14:26
Aindoh who is Feng Shui? Not another loan signing today I hope?

19.) 18 Jan 2019 00:40:58
I may have said this before but I think Ntcham brings a certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ to our midfield.

23 Dec 2018 13:55:01
James McCarthy and Omar Niasse both available on loan from Everton, take both of them asap.

1.) 23 Dec 2018 15:29:37
We don't need McCarthy and he is more injury prone than our entire squad.

2.) 23 Dec 2018 17:34:40
McCarthy broke his leg earlier this year making a last ditch tackle would hardly call that injury prone.

3.) 23 Dec 2018 19:06:43
Not including his broken leg, he has had about 7 injuries at Everton causing him to miss 10games on average each time, he has been at Everton 3/ 4years now. I would say that's injury prone.

4.) 23 Dec 2018 22:20:48
That right ice man?

Ok here goes.

2010/ 11 Oct 23rd - jan 10th. 79 days

2014/ 15 Nov 9th - jan 31st. 27 days hamstring

2016/ 17 Aug 23rd - Oct 5th. 43 days groin

2016/ 17 Dec 19th- jan 7th. 19 days

2016/ 17 Mar 24th - June 30th 98 days

2017/ 18 Aug 11th - Oct 17th 67 days

2017/ 18 Oct 25th - Dec 26th 62 days

Then less that a month later breaks his leg making a last ditch tackle on Jan 20th.

{Ed007's Note - If you got that from transfermarkt I doubt it's accurate, but if you're into that have a look at Scott Browns over the same period and he hasn't had a DOUBLE leg break....

Tom Rogic:

Leigh Griffiths:

James Forrest:

All seem to be as 'injury prone' as James McCarthy.......

And even KT has had 3 spells out this year injured:

Maybe time to cash in on him if he's starting to miss so long?

5.) 23 Dec 2018 22:54:08
Jeez Dr Kev. You got the guys whole medical history there. 😂Sounds like some bull there to me. 206 days missed with hamstring injuries I ain't buying it. Look I'm not doubting the guy has had his fair share of injuries but imo I think he'd be a great addition to our squad and could well replace Brown providing he stays injury free 😉.

6.) 23 Dec 2018 23:44:40
In fact big Sam said he was mentally scarred by his injury record and how often he injured the same area.

7.) 23 Dec 2018 23:32:32
Rumours on balotelli. Any news ed.

{Ed007's Note - Brexit is a farce and the Gatwick drone is a false flag.}

8.) 23 Dec 2018 23:40:03
Ed I have been quite vocal about how often rogic is injured, as have you.
Forrest was certainly an injury prone player until the last few years.
Griffiths with the exception of what he is going through I'd say he's becoming injury prone as well.
Even Scott Brown a lot of people were saying he was to injury prone until Rogers came in.

I did get that info from transfer market but there is no way anyone can say McCarthy doesn't break down regularly.
I think wilshere is a great player but wouldn't sign him for same reason.

{Ed007's Note - My point is every player misses games with niggling injuries throughout the season - take out McCarthy's double leg break and his injury record is no worse than some of our star players. Most of Jack Wilshere's 'injuries' were cover ups for failed drug tests.}

9.) 24 Dec 2018 10:59:12
Talking of Injury prone players Andy Carrol Wtf?!

{Ed001's Note - that is a man who missed over a year because he fell off a bar stool drunk at a casino owned by Derek Llambias. And when I say drunk, I mean absolutely blind drunk and it was less than 48 hours before a game. Almost all, if not all, of his injuries can be traced back to the effects of his heavy drinking.}

10.) 24 Dec 2018 13:44:03
I still say get him signed just for the nights out! 😂.

11.) 24 Dec 2018 14:13:53
Silly boy wonder if players like that ever look back in regret at what they could have done! On his day he’s unplayable sadly that’s once every 3/ 4 years.

{Ed007's Note - With the money in the modern game I doubt many of them will.}

12.) 24 Dec 2018 16:57:14
Just send us up all the junkies and alkies I'm sure Super Slipper could use them.

13.) 25 Dec 2018 09:44:27
Scotzine story linking us with loan for McCartney today 😂 I can't see it with Nir back from injury we have too many players in that position as it is and it's not an area we need to waste money on.

A lot of the media outlets building us up as massive favs for tonight, and all of them wanting us to fail, real scumbags. I hope we pull out all the stops tonight and waltz through.

1.) 27 Feb 2020 13:30:12
Well we should have won last week and we're at home so why not. we just need to be careful not to concede early and go chasing it.

2.) 27 Feb 2020 13:41:43
Never mind them malika20 it won't change it would kill them to say what we have done in 9 years will never be done again. The final nail on there coffin will be them trying to stop 10. Its up to us to keep shutting them up. HH.

3.) 27 Feb 2020 17:30:44
The only time they big us up is after we lose to them or after they have had a good win. we will go through tonight. Imagine having to listen to them flying the flag for Scotland, or is it England no Germany, Northern Ireland, i don't know. oh well you get my drift.

25 Feb 2020 13:57:06
@Timalloy. Tim will you be moderating this year for Cheltenham? Not long now!,
We did do two bad the last couple of years!,

1.) 25 Feb 2020 16:48:33
@Malika YES I posted a couple of days ago I intended to put up anti post bets start of March, then post tips from different sources during entire Cheltenham festival. The last two years we all got off to a great start which covered us for whole of festival then the each way bets topped our profits up.
I intend doing same this time putting up bigger odds each way punts with bookmakers offering the extra places which makes a big difference.
I intend to use 2 of the same tipsters as last year but add on other decent tips I hear.

2.) 25 Feb 2020 18:28:51
New to posting but have noticed you are the tipster Tim. I'm looking forward to your tips for Cheltenham as I can't pick my nose.

3.) 25 Feb 2020 19:22:30
@markie my tips come with a "wealth warning" ie can seriously damage your wealth lol
But for Cheltenham and Grand National I rely on other sources and last two Cheltenhams we made a profit, but these big festivals you really need lots of luck on your side.

06 Feb 2020 11:40:02
Ed, can you put the link up for James Forest at Newcastle, remember last night chat, l couldn't manage to do it, that says something about my age and mental capacity I guess, lol.

You’re some Bhoy, Lol.

{Ed007's Note - 😁😁

30 Jan 2020 10:09:17
Is Lewis Morgan gone?

{Ed007's Note - I think he's just waiting on his Visa, Mal and they can't announce signings until that's granted.}

19 Jan 2020 08:17:40
Great to see Griff back on the scoresheet, and even better to hear his post match comments, he is a fighter and has shown that in his personal and football life since joining us, some people where sceltical on both when he came in, but I think he has proved beyond doubt that he is fit to wear the shirt for a while to come. I for one will be cheering him on all they way to the 10.

Lenny is going to ship Sinky out and bring James Mc Clean in on loan for the rest of the season.

Chris, I was afraid that we had signed another sick note, bit I think your assessment is correct, there's Defoe a decent player in there, was much more happy after last nights performance.

That's a solid signing if we get him, he's dependable, strong, no nonsense, a good addition.

I agree with you Kev. I am a great supporter of Lenny and believe he has done great things for us and will continue to do so. Last night he played Rogic and Elyounoussi who are very short of first class minutes, and two, Broony and James Forest who were obviously struggling from the first minute, so he should have his hands in the air today and take responsibility.
The fact remains that he has not failed in Europe, this is as close as we get, this is our level at these competitions, many may see it as an opportunity missed, I Do, but we don’t have a better record since way back when.
Lenny’s job is to get us to the league title, bread and butter issues, he has delivered one cup so far this season and we are still in the bag for the other, so no failure there.
We as a team cannot be perfect every time, and some of the displays last night were certainly not that, but it’s Lenny who will revitalize the squad and push them on to what really matters, the league and cup.

26 Feb 2020 17:28:50
I think you will have to take Lenny out in a box, He will take us to the 10 and beyond. He will be a Celtic Legend, he is now, he took us to the first 3 of these titles, finished off a fourth, will now win a fifth, and the 10th will make it 6 titles for him.
He has been player, captain, coach and manager. He is a lifelong supporter of the club, his life and that of his family has been threatened and made hell throughout his years at the club. who was the other guy you were comparing him to?

19 Feb 2020 19:56:42
That’s really bad luck, we were flying with the 2 up formation, but on Lenny knows if he is going to stick with that tomorrow anyway, Christie going in at no10 is a good shout Mally, don’t really see much of an alternative if he wants to stick to the 2 up.
It’s a 36000 sell out crowd, so not going to be short on atmosphere, our experience should amount to something. I hope Griff is not serious and he is back asap.

He will be sold in the Summer, of that there is no doubt, when the big boys and their big money come in, we will take their hands off. The good thing of course is that we will have a lot of money to build a big team for the 10.That of course is if the board approve expenditure.
