Apparently we have bid €8m for the striker from Le Havre, do you know if there is any truth in this ed007?

{Ed007's Note - We've been in contact with Le Havre about Kadewere but I don't know of any bid yet although it is all over the bastion of truth that is social media.}

1.) 07 Jan 2020 16:39:18
Cheers mate I think if we are bidding €8m for players, it will surely be eddy's eventual replacement.

A lot of stuff flying about that Man U and Spurs are interested in him and he is keen to go, don't know if any truth in that either though.

{Ed007's Note - I think that's all just paper talk.}

2.) 07 Jan 2020 17:16:28
ED007 do you "le havre" your doubts on this report (I'll get my beret)

{Ed007's Note - πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

3.) 07 Jan 2020 17:53:12
Said it before that eddys replacement will be signed before eddy leaves, just like eddy was always going to be dembele replacement.

13 Jun 2019 20:38:52
Anybody reckon there is any substance to the link with the guy who used to play for Astana?
Thought he was quite a handful myself like.

1.) 13 Jun 2019 21:31:41
Who? The big midfielder?

2.) 13 Jun 2019 21:43:20
Forward he was Ghanaian think it is Twuswami or like that, sure he scored 2 or 3 goals against us last time we played them.

3.) 13 Jun 2019 23:05:19
Just read we are in fact not interested.

4.) 13 Jun 2019 23:23:22
Had few good players the big guy like yaya in middle of park was a tank.

5.) 13 Jun 2019 23:28:56
Would rather we went for another Ghanain in Boakye. Got more goals in him and in the mould of Dembele too.

6.) 14 Jun 2019 04:52:26
He looks very fast from what I have seen and scored a few goals but he doesn't seem to have much more than that. looks to my like the kind of player that if you give them the ball facing there own goal he would run it into his own net, I think we have a lot better players. shved, arzani, forrest, Sinclair and johsntone all look better for me but we will wait and see the outcome. looks similar to borrigter and wakaso. just my opinion. I am getting exited with the amout of rumours tho and I just hope lenny can get us what he wants. I think we are in great hands here he knows how much these next two titles mean and if he can steam roll us there then who says it will only be 10.

7.) 14 Jun 2019 04:55:18
i have actually just checked on wakaso and him and twumasi are both playing for the same club so let's hope that puts that rumour to sleep.

22 Jan 2019 22:55:07
I wonder about our scouting network at times. good young players in Switzerland and Austria for not massive amounts of money. That's where I would be looking for value just now.

1.) 22 Jan 2019 23:17:48
German scouts are all over these leagues mate it is definitely getting tougher.

2.) 23 Jan 2019 01:07:27
I agree with those markets Royjac also other countries like Scandinavia, Serbia and even Holland.

3.) 23 Jan 2019 11:26:29
We have just signed someone from Slovakia and are now heavily liked with a player from Ukraine.

4.) 23 Jan 2019 11:26:46
Plus 2 from america.

Anyone know what is up with Ntcham?

1.) 04 Mar 2020 20:36:46
Calf injury.

31 Jan 2020 21:37:01
We have spent permanent 17.5m on transfer fees this season, I reckon the loan fees for Ely and FF could be another few quid. Factor in the wages and we have spent way over 20m this season, when was the last time Celtic done that?

1.) 01 Feb 2020 00:06:54
Nett profit in transfers, again!

2.) 01 Feb 2020 00:07:19
yes and that lot played us of the park at paradise. when was the last time that happened.

3.) 01 Feb 2020 00:50:21
They hardly played us off the park at parkhead mate.
We were rotten that game and could have still won the game, both teams were poor on the day but cause they won their fans think they played amazing.

The cup final was different though, if it wasn’t for foster they could have won comfortably and definitely played us of the park.

At Ibrox though it was probably about our most comfortable 90 min of the season.

4.) 01 Feb 2020 08:49:06
jamesyboyhail, we didn't compete with them, that is my point. we should be blowing them away and because of the clubs inability to buy quality rather than quantity we end up in this situation. we needed to strengthen yesterday and didnt.

09 Jan 2020 21:18:06
So ed007 as a back up striker and something different, what would be your thoughts on Cosgrove be?

{Ed007's Note - Him and Tam Cowan are quite funny at times but he tries far too hard to sound like like an intellectual, he reminds me of Frankie Boyle with his comedic delivery and Boyle's a f@nny.}

1.) 09 Jan 2020 21:30:06
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ You're on form the night Ed🀣🀣.

{Ed007's Note - 😁

2.) 09 Jan 2020 22:32:15
Aye very good boss πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

01 Jan 2020 20:20:23
When we signed him I had hoped Bayo was going to be a decent player but he really has shown pretty much nothing so far, a glimpse or two maybe.
I can categorically say right now that if we had a choice of say Bayo or big Sam Cosgrove I'd take Cosgrove in a heartbeat.
40 goals in the last year and puts himself about, seen him last season giving the Burnley defence as well as ours and Sevco a hard time most of the time, I've seen many people on here say he isn't good enough. I disagree as a squad player and something different to what we have I reckon he would be more than capable.

1.) 01 Jan 2020 20:53:46
Sometimes just what you need is right under your nose, it may not be popular, but id agree royjac73. Its a gamble well worth taking.

2.) 01 Jan 2020 23:09:41
Cosgrove? You've got to be at it? He's a lump a wid that is constantly fouling and elbowing, he'll get sent off for us every game. If that's the level some people are serious about wanting then I despair. I expected some rashness opinion wise after losing to them but Cosgrove is not good enough for us.

3.) 02 Jan 2020 00:27:19
Caese you obviously haven't read my post properly then eh haha.

4.) 02 Jan 2020 01:02:43
The sheep think McKenna is worth 10m. Imagine what they would want for Cosgrove πŸ˜‚.

5.) 02 Jan 2020 01:55:45
Big Sutton was a lump o' wid, turned out nice. Look, im well aware he's not the preferred choice, but i think its worth the gamble. Only an opinion.

6.) 02 Jan 2020 10:00:06
I’d rather have Cosgrove than Bayo but Edouard and Griff would be ahead of him for me.

7.) 02 Jan 2020 10:55:17
Big Sutton was a lump a wid bhampot? your having a laugh aren’t u? your comparing big Sutton with cosgrove! Big Sutton was outstanding for Norwich and Blackburn and had a bad time at Chelsea because their style of play never really suited him. cosgrove is doing well at Aberdeen but he’s nowhere near what we need!

8.) 02 Jan 2020 12:17:11
Big Eddy is a touch-player who tries hard to hold the ball, but is often outnumbered and dispossessed, because of sheer numbers and no Celtic players close enough to play off his touches?
Griff is finished IMO and Bayo is a non starter, so we could actually do with two front men to freshen things up; a poacher and a big man.

02 Dec 2019 21:43:36
Dont know about any of you guy's like, I hope in January we offload Rogic.

{Ed007's Note - Incoming..............

1.) 02 Dec 2019 22:49:09
He definitely seems like he doesn't have much more to offer. I stuck up for him earlier in the season because I think he does deserve recognition for some of his better moments but he's looking less and less fit for purpose with each game that goes by.

2.) 03 Dec 2019 10:39:45
Ed looks like quite a few people coming around to our way of thinking over rogic eh?

{Ed007's Note - There's no way he should be starting at CAM over Christie and the knock on effect that has on the team as Christie is never a winger and Forrest shouldn't be out on the left. With the squad we have Rogic should be on the bench and used as an impact sub until he can be replaced, probably in the summer.}

3.) 03 Dec 2019 12:01:51
hard to disagree, with the development of Christie, and ntcham for no.10, Big Tams sporadic moments of magic no longer give him a pass for me.
some great memories, but so did Paddy McCourt!

4.) 03 Dec 2019 13:12:25
Doesn't score or assist anywhere near enough for a #10 at our club. Christie and Ntcham miles ahead of him plus Rogic far too injury prone.

5.) 03 Dec 2019 14:03:33
Rogic has not played much in over a year then injured again.
I no he's like cotton wool syndrome he scored weekend gd goal to. He needs a we run at zero injuries and maybe rogic keeps Christie bringing us the goods and competition for a place.
But get what you mean tho it's getting harder to defend my fav player rogic but this injury thing then playing for your country then injured again is not on.

6.) 03 Dec 2019 14:10:03
Paddy McCourt would have been better than rogic if he was under a gaffer like Lennon rather than Strachan.
Paddy should have been on in the last half hour of every game.

7.) 03 Dec 2019 14:11:15
Christie in half a season has now out scored rogics best ever tally for a full season.
That tells you all you need to know.

8.) 03 Dec 2019 14:55:43
I know he has been injured which is fair enough but I watched that game on Sunday and his only contribution was a deflected goal, not enough in my opinion. Christie as number 1 in the 10 role easily followed by Ntcham and offload Rogic. It's a no brainer, use the money from the sale to bring in a solid box to box midfielder.

9.) 03 Dec 2019 17:30:22
It tells me nothing. You can't compare this and last season as
Rogics been injured most of it so if you are injured you can't compare anything. what's it been like a year on and off so the reason Christie has developed amazing is game time he may not have got under Rodgers and Lennon if Celtic had a fully fit rogic. Rogics absence fair doos Christie took his chance and what a difference he has made.
But Lennon knows an on form rogic goals and assists are great. Christie talent can now be seen by all of us. Do you not think we are a bit harsh guys got injuries it's someone every other week with some on here like Sinclair, wee Johnny ntcham for a while it was Lennon but it's went quiet there plus a few others have been taken apart by our own fans.
A player who is injured usually comes back hungry and like new player give rogic a few more weeks see what Lennie's plans are and see if we can get a fully fit rogic.

{Ed007's Note - Rogic has averaged 58 mins a game in the games he's actually been fit enough to play for Celtic since joining with 37 goals and 31 assists in 176 games, that's a goal every 5 games and an assist every 6 - if Lennon knows or thinks that's great then we've got a far bigger problem than just a sicknote Aussie.}

10.) 03 Dec 2019 18:10:42
You forgot some minor detail @ED.
Important goals in crucial games.
Hes got the killer pass to someone who can assist a goal.
I just think give him till Xmas not saying he can take his place from Christie but he has that thing where making something from nothing.
He also virtually every game is man marked out of it but could stil produce.
Christie is on fire that's why he should be picked first. Don't think we can Wright him off yet πŸ˜›.

{Ed007's Note - You said "Lennon knows an on form rogic goals and assists are great" but they aren't, in fact they're miles away from even being decent considering how long he's been here playing for Celtic, he can't live off the odd wonder goal now and then - as Paddy McCourt and Tony Watt will tell you - and every game for Celtic is crucial and in far too many Rogic doesn't turn up.
37 goals and 31 assists in 8 years is appalling regardless of what games he's scored in.}

11.) 03 Dec 2019 20:28:58
I wasnt comparing THIS and LAST season fitness so I don't know where you get that nonsense

Rogics BEST EVER season got 12 goals. he's only ever made double figures TWICE.

This season christie has already scored 13 or 14.

That tells me something even if you can't quite grasp it.

12.) 03 Dec 2019 20:32:15
Hmmmmm πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”
I'm not saying you are wrong.
I think if we could get him a long run of games he could get his form.
So the stats for rogic 8 years at Celtic. Says a lot imo is he not up there with the longest serving players but mainly wondering how much game time he missed due to injury or playing for his country it must be quite a bit @ed so those stats won't be bang on for games played v years at the club.
8 years is s long tong time that the managers before him must have seen something in him maybe my heart says he's got to Finnish on a high.
@ED How many years has rogic got left on his contract?

{Ed007's Note - You're proving my point, Andy, how many games has he missed from injury is crucial and is another reason why he never has and never will be reliable. The international travel and games is another myth as he's amassed 47 caps since his debut for Australia in 2012 and 5 of them were before he joined us.
His contract runs until 2023, he signed an extension last year after him and his agent found out that there was very little interest in him and any interest there was at lower league English Championship teams level or below abroad and more importantly a lot less money than Celtic pay him.}

13.) 03 Dec 2019 21:17:22
A long run off of games?
2017/ 18 he played over 40 times and got 8 goals.
Every thing you've came out with is disproved by actual facts.
37 goals in 176 games can not be argued with. It's a fact.
139 games he hasn't scored in from one of the most attacking positions in the team. That's shocking!

14.) 04 Dec 2019 06:52:38
It's not just his goals and assists that makes Christie the pick before Rogic. It's also his work rate, his desire, his tenacity, his will to win and go the extra mile for the team, his pressing game, his fitness levels, the list goes on and on. Infact I'm not sure I can pick one attribute that Rogic has over Christie.

15.) 04 Dec 2019 07:47:57
100% correct royjac, christie is just a far better player than rogic, my opinion on that won't change even if he scores a screamer and gets motm. It'll just prove his inconsistency. Not saying I don't want that to happen if he starts mind u.

I like Lewis Ferguson, energy, dig, drive, commitment, passion, can score goals. Saw him against Burnley in Europe and he really stood out against them, he has the attributes to make it at a club like ours. If we have the chance to sign him we should, could be Browns successor in my opinion.

If it were me I would be sniffing around in France or Belgium to see what bargains are kicking around there, when you consider big Jullien was only 7m the players are there.

I really can't see us keeping eddy for next season, everything tells me that although he is a very humble guy once the vultures start circling there will only be one outcome.
I hope he does go to somewhere like Madrid and become an absolute world star. They can bolt with their 25m euros though haha.

When you consider we got big Jullien for 7m I'd take 25m for Ajer in a heartbeat, for his size he is crap in the air ( I like the CB to be more dominant ) don't get me wrong he is a good player and has some really good attributes but for that kind of money he has to go for me.

All the top clubs around Europe the players have taken a wage cut to allow the staff to be kept on, we should be doing the same. And as I said we have 30m in the bank for christ sake, wrong just wrong.

The Coronavirus retention scheme is for companies that would have to lay off their staff because they can't afford to pay them or would go bust in keeping them on and paying them, for me it is morally wrong for Celtic football club to be exploiting this scheme. Pure penny pinching as usual, I get there are loopholes not been closed by the UK government that allows us to use it but morally we shouldn't as we can afford to let the staff be at home and pay them.
