Just read we have had another bid rejected for Omar Colley. Don't know whether it's an old story revived to stir things up or are we caught in two minds between Colley and Doughty? Whatever the case just do it Celts!

Ones a CB and the others a winger so I don't think its an either or situation.

Ajer away for 12-15 with add ons, and Coley in for 9ish. sounds about right. Timalloy. God bless mate. God will make everything ok.

3.) 23 Sep 2020 11:18:20
I think if we let ajer go for less than 20 will regret it in a couple of seasons.

After the disappointment of Saturday just got a double dunt when I found out that wee scunner Martindale and his Plastic Oh No Band will be back.

It’s been a month for the underdogs.

2.) 27 May 2025 13:09:06
I think we have targeted the wrong thing . Plastic or artificial pitches certainly aren’t the best surface to play football on . However what is rotten is the totally uncared artificial pitch like Kilmarnock has had for years .
Every club with a grass pitch spend lots of money annually to try to keep pitch in as good a condition for playing on as possible. It seemed that Kilmarnock tried to keep their pitch as bad as possible.
No doubt Martindale will try to have Livingston pitch as bad as possible for Celtic visit.

Liverpool and Tottenham both come from cities with fierce football rivalry. Both teams have had cause to celebrate this season. Subsequently, their respective city councils and police forces etc promptly arranged open top bus parades to celebrate with their supporters.
This can never happen, no matter how much success Celtic have in Glasgow.
Where sectarianism. intolerance and bigotry have such a toxic influence.

Celtic_mad

{Ed007's Note - Liverpool had a an open top bus street parade for Liverpool winning the league, Newcastle had one for them winning the League Cup, Crystal Palace had one for winning the FA Cup & Spurs get one for winning the EL - Celtic win the league and Glasgow City Council gave us an Orange Walk!

Great footnote to quantify and underline the post Ed.

As most of those in 'football authority' have a beef or a grudge against Celtic, I anticipate, nay expect another league reconstruction. Every day there is someone bleating about our monotonous domination and how bad is it for ;our game', but these peepul were more than happy during the EBT years over in Govan. Anyway, what are your opinions on any future reconstruction? Personally, I would be fine if it included scrapping the split with the following handpicked fixtures and banning plastic pitches in the SPL.

@ Celtic_mad I heard that the Chief Constable of Glasgow along with Lord Provost of Glasgow have asked all Celtic fans to line up both sides of the road and APPLAUD when the orange bands go past a sort of "Guard of Honour"

2.) 16 May 2025 16:48:22
Away for the weekend guys to Aberdeen to celebrate 40th wedding anniversary. Was supposed to be in Tenerife from today for a month to celebrate but had eye surgery 3 weeks ago and cannot fly.

Disappointed but will be looking for pub to watch our 4 in a row celebrations.

Mon the hoops???.

3.) 16 May 2025 17:41:23
they could give us a ten point handicap and wed still win the league.

4.) 16 May 2025 18:59:27
Do the Orange Order organise any of their increasing numbers if Parades each year to Celebrate Celtic’s having won more Scottish League titles than any team in Scotland.

Has the Orange Order sent letters of congratulations to Celtic Board of Directors for the tremendous number of treble won by Celtic in recent years.

Surely in years to come O O will want to include Celtic’s outstanding success as part of their culture.

James Forrest has waited 16 years for a song, so I don't grudge him the new version of my hero Jinky's melody.
Jamsie had a stormer last night and deserved a goal, hopefully that will come on Saturday to spark another chorus.

1.) 15 May 2025 13:46:37
Pray he gets it on Saturday always been underrated and a celtic great who refreshingly shuns the limelight.

2.) 15 May 2025 15:19:49
If he's on the bench and we get a penalty in second half, get him on to take it but after last night, he deserves to start our last league game.

He was immense, went straight for the jugular every time he got the ball.

What a servant he has been and such a nice guy.

He may not get another year playing as I think the summer will bring big changes as many players have been here 3-4 years, which BR has said is the limit with us, so I hope we can find a place within the club when he hangs his boots up.

I've had my doubts for a while because it has been dragged out and becoming overly complicated. We shall see?

Just want the club to start making announcements ASAP as the amount of speculation of numerous pending arrivals is 'heid-burstin'.
Especially the amount of ex-players that are linked with a return.

Were the Lennon Miller rumours false or are we waiting on players leaving to make room and raise funds?
Or is there a bit of the John McGinn feel about it?

Lazy reporting or even lazier scouting? Jota, KT, Kyogo? Who's next GG, Turnbull and God forbid MJ?

The route to the first team is non existent for too many of our youth 'academy' and either they are deemed not good enough for Celtic, or the opportunities to break through are far too difficult. (Or both? )

Our club would always welcome extra cash, but the way the team were treading water in the final weeks of the season, I want them to use the close-season for R and R and come back stronger for nest season.

I have no idea who made the decisions regarding recruitment during his times as manager, but if you look back at the squads, there were some really good signings among some flops - like any other coach.

Our club are toothless and far too passive in every situation like this and it will only get worse if we remain silent and a soft touch.

I know several non-Catholic Celtic supporters but we did have 2 brothers at our school who preferred to 'follow, follow'. It was back in the 1970's and although there was never any repercussions between any of us, I could never understand how they tolerated the bigotry and intolerance contained in 99% of the repertoire at their games.

Celtic_mad

{Ed007's Note - Oh I know loads of non-Catholics that support Celtic, I don't think that's as big a shock perception/society wise as a Catholic supporting TRIFC.}

Happy belated birthday Tim. I don't use candles anymore because they don't make cakes that big.
