Anyone else seen the mental rumour gareth bale is coming in the summer.

Cory67

1.) 17 Feb 2022 08:28:46
Better get the sick bay ready then, hope not.

{Ed007's Note - Gareth Bale played 34 games for Spurs last season and also managed to complete every match Wales played at the Euros (4) and 3 of their friendlies and 4 out of their 6 games in the UEFA Nations League - it's awfy strange that over the past few years he is only "injured" a lot when he is at Madrid don't you think?}

2.) 17 Feb 2022 09:15:10
I wouldn't be interested in him, mot that he isn't a great player but because he has recently said he wants to retire and if Wales don't qualify for WC I am not sure his heart would be in it. We have good golf courses which might attract him. Imagine the wages he would demand, even at 32.

{Ed007's Note - Bale lost interest in football long ago, that's the problem. I know it sounds silly because of the money he's earnt and trophies he's won but the Madrid move - or more staying there so long - has been a major mistake.}

3.) 17 Feb 2022 09:49:53
Playing in front of the celtic support would ignite anyone's passion for football.

4.) 17 Feb 2022 09:56:46
I'd take him in a heartbeat. Ed is there anything to this do you reckon or is it just paper talk?

{Ed007's Note - It's not even paper talk, Cory it's a bookies that have given odds on Bale's next destination and TRIFC are smaller odds than us - in other words it's complete nonsense.}

5.) 17 Feb 2022 12:32:30
WGS tried to get him on loan from spurs if I mind.

{Ed007's Note - Maybe he'll end up at Dundee then.}

6.) 17 Feb 2022 15:50:26
Guys even with all his talent, Bale is a fekin disgrace, he earns what about £350k a week, yet CHUCKED IT at Real Madrid, Real should have booted him out and NOT PAID rest of his contract.
No way should a clown like that even be mentioned for a place at Celtic, stealing a wage.

7.) 17 Feb 2022 19:10:12
I’d rather have his fellow countryman Christian Bale (American psycho) ?.

{Ed007's Note - Have you ever read the book, Ged? That is seriously messed up stuff.}

8.) 18 Feb 2022 12:30:21
Ah no.

{Ed007's Note - ?

O'Reilly is official. Welcome to paradise.

1.) 20 Jan 2022 21:55:51
Well happy with the way the board have backed Ange.
Think he'll be a cracking signing and adds further strength to our squad, which a few weeks back looked short of quality in a few departments.
Looks like we have really upped the ante from last seasons disaster and have set our sights on bringing the title back to Paradise!

2.) 20 Jan 2022 22:45:04
I think the board are backing ange heavily because we are virtually gaurenteed CL group stage football if we win the league.

3.) 20 Jan 2022 23:12:16
Our last game against Hibs was probably the only time this season where our bench was strong. Good that we beat of intreated English based clubs and Ange player his part in convincing the boy. Can’t slate the board they’ve worked swiftly along side Ange! I work for a firm that Desmond had shares in and he and others cashed in and made themselves a pretty penny or two so maybe it’s helped in this winters window ?.

4.) 21 Jan 2022 08:12:46
The board aren't backing Ange. They are spending our money. They put feck all into the club we fund the club. Most of them shouldn't even be at our great club.

5.) 21 Jan 2022 09:35:31
Well at least they're spending our money on the thing we want the most, hopefully good players brings success, damned if they do damned if they don't.

6.) 21 Jan 2022 09:42:07
Auf how can you say they haven't backed the manager when we've already signed 5 players this January transfer window alone?
What more do you want them to do?
Are you not happy they seem to have spent wisely, rather than like in previous years when they were shelling out 5m for the likes of Ajeti?
Do you want them to do what the 'old rangers' did and go out and buy players for vast amounts of money making us financially insecure?
Nobody's mentioned individual board members here. I am saying as a 'board' who control the purse strings, they have backed our manager.
Happy Friday.

7.) 21 Jan 2022 10:34:18
They aren't backing Ange finically they are spending our money. Those fecking leeches take from celtic. We wouldn't need to build a whole squad if they had done there job properly. Some people forget to quickly. If we come up short this season it's on the board. Our bench this season has been embarrassing which is down to them. Held on to lennon to long then took 4 months to get a new manager.

8.) 21 Jan 2022 11:02:33
So up to last year wiuld you say they had done a good job, your glass is definitely half empty.

9.) 21 Jan 2022 11:33:37
ffs Auf I'm not talking about the Lennon years I'm talking about now.
We didn't hold onto Lennon too long, he should never have been appointed in the first place but let's move on. Doesn't meant I have forgotten about the appointment or what happened afterwards.
Our bench has been embarrassing down to an unprecedented amount of injuries and CV. These things aren't the norm and could't have been foreseen.
So because you pay to watch the club or buy merchandise you feel the board are spending your money? You pay money to be entertained and I feel you are being entertained. I can't imagine what you'd be like if you supported the other mob.

10.) 21 Jan 2022 12:01:45
Malley
No they didn't do a good job. Out of all the success they never did anything to move the club forward. Just papered over the cracks while having there hand in the cookie jar. we just brought in a sports analyst most modern clubs have had for year's. ? in charge of one of the biggest clubs in Europe and because they have sanctioned a few purchases people get all giddy creaming themselves.

11.) 21 Jan 2022 12:03:58
Pod
They're not spending my money it's all our money. Leeches.

12.) 21 Jan 2022 13:07:58
Anno a lot of clubs that wouldn't mind papering over the cracks with unprecedented amount of trophies, a take your point but move on and forget what last year.

13.) 21 Jan 2022 13:29:25
We cannot keep going back over what happened in the past time and time again, we need to move on and support ange and the team. The board ARE supporting Ange and were seeing the difference on the pitch and the bench. The board are the board, we can't change that and speaking about them all the time, gives then oxygen, I'd rather speak about Ange and the team.

14.) 21 Jan 2022 17:26:22
Auf, for feck sake chill out. Go and have a wee lie down for about a year. HH.

15.) 21 Jan 2022 20:31:27
Bestybhoy
I'm completely chilled. Just not sipped up the back.

16.) 21 Jan 2022 20:46:58
How can people slam the board for not spending money then say the next breath they aren't spending their own money, its a senseless argument I have slammed the board for not spending money and I will applaud them when they do, I am glad the board are backing ange and I really hope his signings work out. I have full trust in this board now after how the deals for players is getting done quickly and quietly the paper don't have a clue till the deals are virtually done.

17.) 22 Jan 2022 12:09:33
Lads enjoy the moments. .
Things change we move in.

11 Jan 2022 09:55:42
Iranian winger Ghayedi is another player we are rumoured to be interested in.

Cory67

1.) 11 Jan 2022 10:44:57
Can play as a striker as well but rumour the bid was kicked out.

2.) 11 Jan 2022 11:35:37
Celtic aren't in for him.

3.) 11 Jan 2022 11:46:30
Do you know that for sure Auf.

4.) 11 Jan 2022 14:23:03
Cory67
Got told that boy hasn't told me anything that's not panned out recently.

30 Aug 2021 08:00:06
Rumour I've heard Greek striker deal will be announced soon. Jota loan with option to buy for 6 million and there will be a cb brought in on loan too.

Cory67

1.) 30 Aug 2021 10:45:23
I'd argue we need 2 centre backs.

2.) 30 Aug 2021 11:23:33
Plays on left but he's right footed, footage looked impressive.

3.) 30 Aug 2021 12:38:48
The skills and flicks are very impressive Mally but not too much in the way of final ball or finishing. If he can a bit more of that to his game with us he should be a massive success and one to get the fans off their seats.

4.) 30 Aug 2021 13:30:41
As long as he can handle the big occasion kev because abada is young and was posted missing the last 2 games, we don't need another.

09 Aug 2021 08:52:33
Edduard has apparently picked up an ankle injury post match yesterday according to bbc.

Cory67

1.) 02 Feb 2022 21:55:35
Juranovic was amazing ?.

2.) 02 Feb 2022 23:03:10
He was immense. The fact that rb has been one of our weakest position for a few years and now we have 2 superb ones. Honestly everyone was superb tonight. 1st half is one of the best I've seen for a long time.

29 Jan 2022 19:02:04
Jota celebrations with fans is Brilliant. Hopefully that persuades him to stay.

Cory67

1.) 29 Jan 2022 20:20:18
Cracking wee dink in for the goal. Guys is class.

2.) 29 Jan 2022 20:22:35
Cory - it would really help if we had a song for him to show him how much he is wanted and loved. Do we have one?

3.) 29 Jan 2022 21:09:30
Yes he has it a song it's a cracker too our superstar from Portugal in on utube .

Tony Ralston called up to Scotland squad for denmark game. Fully deserved and shouldn't have had to wait for a suspension to get it.

Cory67

1.) 14 Nov 2021 11:14:00
Cory - the boy has really come onto a game this season - but why? What has been the difference this season? Coaching, maturity, new system, respect for new management, new found hunger or competition? It is not just him though, it has permeated the whole team.

Was watching a game with the Old Dutch a few weeks ago and I said that Ralston is a totally new man and I wondered what they were putting in the water at Celtic Park? She looked at me and sarcastically said "perhaps you can get some for the bedroom? ". I looked at her and reminded myself she was a Jambo and replied " I'll try but I'm not sure it'll make me hang the wall paper any straighter". been on short ration ever since!

Denmark will be a right good test for him I think - good luck lad.

2.) 14 Nov 2021 11:57:36
I wondered when the call would come. Well deserved. He's playing and often looking like a man possessed. graft gets you somewhere and clubs need guys like Ralston.

3.) 14 Nov 2021 12:06:34
The most improved player at the club under Ange.

4.) 14 Nov 2021 15:04:38
Fully justified given the turnaround in his game this season.

Good luck to him ☘.

5.) 14 Nov 2021 15:05:41
Well deserved.

6.) 14 Nov 2021 17:00:34
He always had the most of the attributes . big . strong . athletic . good engine . great work ethic . good team player. he was a bit erratic in challenges and of timing challenges. and his distribution was the same . but between himself and ange theve managed to start to fine tune his game.

7.) 14 Nov 2021 17:15:48
Big fan of Ralston this season, he has been brilliant for us best RB in the SPL, he can defend and attack score goals with both feet and head. Has good pace very strong aswell the way he knocked Adams to the floor last week shows how strong he is!

8.) 14 Nov 2021 17:50:09
He’s been excellent.

But I bet he isn’t strong enough to have lifted Adams back up?

9.) 14 Nov 2021 20:26:21
Lol nah would need a fork lift.

I think ralston was the best player in the opening 10 games of the season. In the first 6 games he was the only player with consistency that seemed to take anges style in his stride. From there kyogo in parts carried the team until Christmas and won us points and the cup almost single handedly. Since christmas with kyogo out injured jota and abada have really stepped up and been fantastic. Hart and ccv have been consistent all season and really sured up our defence. Callum is the captain we knew he would be. Player of the season really could be any of these guys and all in my opinion have been pivotal in us regaining top spot.

Robert's is signing Sunderland apparently. he's not done great anywhere since leaving us. It's a shame his potential was huge. Could have been different if we got him on a permanent deal.
