Supposedly made an approach for James Lea Siliki as a replacement for Ntcham.

1.) 10 Jul 2019 13:47:28
hope so he's got mad silky skills.

2.) 10 Jul 2019 14:23:26
They knocked back Porto so that'll be that.

3.) 10 Jul 2019 16:03:01
We've got cash to spend Mally. If you think what we would get for Ntcham it'll go some way towards his fee.

4.) 10 Jul 2019 16:12:15
Would be a real statement of intent if we do get him but just can't see it happening.

5.) 10 Jul 2019 16:43:32
Jim a hope your right mate but it sounds a non starter.

6.) 10 Jul 2019 18:37:17
Tommy Smith on his way to sign, has said goodbye to his team mates according to Twitter rumours.

7.) 10 Jul 2019 18:53:49
1.5 million.

8.) 10 Jul 2019 18:59:32
Sorry 2.5 million,3 year.

9.) 10 Jul 2019 21:12:56
Is tommy smith a good signing lads. I don't know to much about him seems to be decent from way fellow posters are sounding.

17 Jun 2019 13:15:57
Lustig looks set for a move to Gent. I wish him all the best. A good servant and somebody who clearly took the club to his heart.

1.) 17 Jun 2019 16:12:57
I think he'll leave with everyones best wishes, great servant and a very likable guy. Thanks for the memories pc lustig. ๐Ÿ€.

2.) 17 Jun 2019 17:10:54
Great servant good luck old bhoy.

22 May 2018 05:53:57
According to a couple of papers we have 9 days to come up with 10m for Edouard. Interesting.

1.) 22 May 2018 07:05:53
Papers jim it'll b a lot less than that ad Imagine.

2.) 22 May 2018 07:20:37
Rodgers confirmed himself That it was way less than the original 9 million quotes by the papers so that just tells you.

3.) 22 May 2018 08:53:09
Few reports saying it's around 5 million then add ons and sell on fee that could take it a lot higher.

4.) 22 May 2018 09:14:57
That sounds more like a ransom than a transfer lol.
We already agreed a deal for ยฃ7m so we can get him for that, no way we will even pay that much tbh.

5.) 22 May 2018 09:34:52
Sevco hacks stirring rubbish that isnโ€™t there. Boy are they hurting.

Rogers stated the figure is nowhere near what was floated, by the same Sevco hacks.

We are trying to sign him and I think we will. Another Hunskelper signing is their worst nightmare.

Sweet Dreams.

6.) 22 May 2018 09:45:52
Mally/ Ken, I thought Rodgers just said that it wasn't 7m?

7.) 22 May 2018 10:04:50
It's not 7 million the gaffer came out and told the press that weeks ago.

8.) 22 May 2018 10:54:55
Even if it is, we will treble that when he moves on in a couple of years. Thatโ€™s killing them too. :)

9.) 22 May 2018 11:00:21
O was wondering about this 10 million Brendan has came out and told us it's less than the 7 million first quoted so could the 10 mill include his wages and bonuses for in thinking 5 yr contract hh.

10.) 22 May 2018 11:37:40
Jim a thought he ment lower than 7 mate maybe nearer the 5 mill mark.

11.) 22 May 2018 12:06:30
ยฃ5m would be a steal. We know what we are getting, it ain't no gamble he is worth every penny. I also think having Edouard and Ntcham at the club is very good for Dembele.

12.) 22 May 2018 12:08:52
Iโ€™m thinking he will be round about the same price as Ntcham, similar contract aswell.

13.) 22 May 2018 13:52:01
Obviously the lower the better Mally. Getting into 8 figures suddenly makes a deal seem more of a risk. For arguments sake, if Dembele was to be sold for 20-30m, then I'd be ok spending 10m on Edouard. But ideally I'd like Dembele and Edouard.

14.) 22 May 2018 14:02:54
It's going to be a bit of a quiet week with a lot of players on holiday so it's big news for the them. If eddy gets over the line added to the renewals it's a good start. I don't think psg will be looking to extend a loan deal with the exposure he has had with us as it has alerted a few clubs who will pay more than our 5m+ add-ons.

15.) 22 May 2018 23:12:42
must be true if its in the Hun loving press.

16.) 23 May 2018 12:41:44
4m i heard.

30 Oct 2017 17:45:03
KT signs new 6 year deal. Brill.

1.) 30 Oct 2017 19:16:40
Great news

Get in Son . HH.

08 Aug 2017 11:09:49
Reports suggesting Paddy Roberts sees us as his preferred option on the table. With his rep meeting with Citeh (I'd guess he isn't part of their plans this season) get something done Celtic! I'd even take another loan if that was to be it, his position was the no.1 target for me this window and I'd rather have him for a year than not at all. A permanent deal would be great however we'd want the buy-back clause to be worth several million profit, just to make sure we don't end up losing anything spent more than anything.

1.) 08 Aug 2017 12:06:30
I'd hope they'd make him a Celtic player properly now; If a loan, surely we want the right to buy.

Presumably, Roberts thinks he might make the grade at City in time, and I think we can all respect that.

2.) 08 Aug 2017 14:40:20
Hi ED, have you heard anything about this? thanks in advance.

{Ed007's Note - City want a permanent deal and it looks as if Paddy's only wanting a loan deal.}

3.) 08 Aug 2017 15:21:17
Oh fur **** sake paddy bhoy. get your self back up here.

4.) 08 Aug 2017 17:00:43
rumours are he is scared of all the mad ferrets in manchester.

Well done NL and the bhoys. That's a great result. The Cluj result really makes things interesting. Some of those Rennes players were embarrassing with their play acting. It's a real pity second yellows can't be rescinded because their keeper was a joke.

1.) 19 Sep 2019 19:54:01
Agree that second yellow was shocking, he was lucky with the first though not deliberate but a bit reckless.

2.) 19 Sep 2019 19:57:50
Was just about to make the same point JT. The referee was really weak and bought the majority of their play acting. The sending off of Bayo was a joke and their goalie should be punished retrospectively for play acting and ungentlemanly conduct. All in all though a great result and we'll take them back in Glasgow.

3.) 19 Sep 2019 19:58:26
The first was a yellow no argument. I dunno how a video ref can see that second yellow as a foul though.

{Ed007's Note - Have you seen some of the recent decisions?}

4.) 19 Sep 2019 20:29:12
I have mate. I conceded that there would still be errors because essentially it comes down to a human's judgement. I didn't think it would be as inaccurate as it has been where introduced.

{Ed007's Note - Or it comes down to what that Asian betting syndicates want ๐Ÿ˜‹

03 Sep 2019 08:00:46
So. Now it's all done, what do we make of the window and the players signed?

Jullien - Very happy with him. He's an athlete, good in the air, composed and competent on the ball. He looks like one of our most expensive signings even this early.

Elhamed - initially underwhelmed however needed to give him a chance. So far looks a shrewd signing. Quick and strong and doesn't shirk a challenge. Certainly looks an upgrade on the Lustig that left us.

Boli - Will be a threat going forward. Another good injection of pace. With a bit of coaching he could be a fine player for us.

Bauer - decent enough cover I think. Again adds pace. Those throws could come in handy.

Forster - our new number one. Happy he's in the ranks however in a roundabout way it shows with the three GK we've signed since he left we have failed to improve.

Taylor - I think Boli would actually be my first choice but we need another LB and he has room to develop. I don't think either will grow to be as good as Tierney but overall I think our defence looks better.

Elyounoussi - Brilliant. Get an arm round him and get him back to what he can do and I'm buzzing with this one. Still wish we had of signed him for 4m a few years back.

Overall - Still think we could have done a bit more. I probably always will. There's a couple areas I would have liked to see another addition and players moved on. But Tierney aside we haven't lost any other key players or talented young players that we weren't expecting to. The team I'd say looks stronger. If we can do that all the time we'll steadily head in the right direction. It's been frustrating and I'm glad it's over so we can focus on the real game.

27 Aug 2019 07:46:47
Anybody else totally lost as to why we are reportedly after Jordan Ibe? Not a chance I'd play him over Forrest and I'd much rather see Shved get chances too.

1.) 27 Aug 2019 10:07:55
Yeah especially on loan too, better develop our own or bring in a permanent signing.

2.) 27 Aug 2019 10:15:26
I'ts obviously other areas we need strengthening and improving and I really despair during these 'windows', as to why we have no trouble selling off our best players, but falter and fail every single time to address our weaknesses and invariably come out worse in the end.
This transfer window has been more than long enough to get the type of players we need in the door - like other teams manage - but again we wait until we are out of the CL just to complicate matters more or low-ball, haggle and stall over negotiations until it's too late?
I know there is still time, but my patience and belief we will get any kind of quality additions on a permanent deal, is fading fast.

3.) 27 Aug 2019 11:31:32
What happened to wait until the English window closes then we'll have our pick of the players not in squads? Must be a few there worth persuing permanent or onloan.

4.) 27 Aug 2019 13:35:06
Exactly Stephen.

OaB. We'll get the normal spiel about not enough time this, couldn't get it over the line that. Like you say, other teams seem to get deals done I look at and think, we could have had a bit of that.

IWBE. Nice pic. Is that list available online? I don't want to sound desperate but at this stage we are.

5.) 28 Aug 2019 10:11:40
The amount of game time Morgan is getting suggests we definitely need another winger!

Shved and Sinclair should be ahead of him but are not for whatever reason. No way should Morgan be third choice winger so Ibe would definitely be an improvement on him.

03 Jun 2019 13:23:47
Some of my team mates include Raul, Luis Fabiano, Nelson Oliveira, Klaas Jan Huntelaar, Freddy Kanoute, Julian Draxler, Virgil Van Dijk, Michel Bastos and Glen Kamara. Who am I?

1.) 03 Jun 2019 14:14:18

2.) 03 Jun 2019 14:25:27
Well done Leon. I didn't get it without googling.

3.) 03 Jun 2019 20:08:43
Neither did he ๐Ÿคฃ.

26 May 2019 23:57:28
Real quick one Ed, could you please give me either a link or a key word to put in the search bar for that update you passed on from Ed002 on the landscape of European footy involving US and Chinese consortiums?

Nice. This is how I pictured our strongest XI after the window shut. Looking forward to seeing Elyounoussi in the hoops.

When he first came in D&P yeah he liked to drop short and take up wider prositions. He looks to run in behind a lot more now and a forward that can do both can be a very handy player to have. His finishing looks sharper too. Defensively he works harder and he generally looks like he's more up for a battle.

Said early days I think Edouard's overall game could see him become a better player. He seems to have improved a couple of areas and I'd say he is now.

Sorry Ice Man but when a few people pick out the same issue it tends to suggest that there is a cause for concern. We can cause them bother though. They haven't faced a side as good as us yet though and I think we can get a couple the way we've been attacking lately.

Yeah I'm concerned about Mikey and Boli defensively. Let's hope they have a good game going forward because I think that would be the area to target if I was SG.

Easier than Elyounoussi too Steph ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜. First half we could have scored as many as the second. Never mind though. Much more like it today.

I'd bring Rogic on for the game time. He'll be best served as a sub anyway, thought that for a long time.

Early days to say but it's certainly the sort of role I wanted us to get somebody in so fingers crossed it pays off. Yes, when judging our recruitment, a lot will fall at NH's door step. But the big question regarding that is how much clout will he have? I'd suspect PL will still be the decisive figure there. What sort of stuff have you read about him Kev? I haven't seen much myself.

Maybe the summer was the right time to replace Dembele as we didn't get chance to in January. Not to worry though, or balance sheets are fab.

I think people see it as a big loss Jock, because it was. The league is far from over, both Celtic and Rangers will drop more points this season. It's nipping poor runs in the bud that matter though and how quickly you respond to a bad result. After dropping points against Hibs, what we all wanted to see was a reaction and the team get back to winning ways. What we got was an even worse performance. Some of the 'Lennon doubters' were being called out by those getting far too carried away early doors with a few good performances. This isn't me saying the doubters are right, now, by the way. The season ends next May. I've been pleasantly surprised by some of the football we're trying to play but there's always that feeling in the back of my mind that things could go spectacularly t*ts up. Hopefully that's our trough over for a wee while and we go on a good run now.
