Many are welcoming the video assistant referee; so maybe I'm VAR-anoid, but I think any Celtic goal will be dissected to the Nth degree and watch out for early bookings so a second foul = a red. That's on top of all the other honest mistakes that don't get referred. Nonetheless, I still think our quality and excellent brand of football will prevail. HH.

Thought it was going to be one of those nights until Abada did what he does best just before HT. There's no doubt we are playing some great stuff and the perseverance and patience was well rewarded with some excellently worked goals and several pieces of pure genius. One thing I didn't enjoy was the fannying about at the back and I appreciate it's our philosophy to keep the ball and build from the back, but we do take risks at times. Siegrist is obviously not too adept on the deck and that didn't help. However, he managed our first clean sheet in around 9 games so well done there. Winning 4-0 (going on ten) is a terrific achievement at Fir Park, especially a nine-man defense. Onward to face the wee currents.

Hatate, what a player, his feet and brain were so quick for his goal. Top performance again tonight from the team. Another time we could have had 8 or 9. Some of Mooys passing was sublime.

I don't like this fannying about at the back either, but why come down on Siegrist, when Hart is even worse, yet he gets nothing but adulation, and when he makes a costly, or near costly, mistake, it's more or less ignored, and if he makes one or two good saves in the game, it's wow, we are so lucky to have him. let's just get back to judging people on their merits, as in how they perform in games, as you said it's our first clean sheet in nine games .

Spot on Mally couldn't agree more. I feel bad saying this but he was terrible tonight, couldn't cross, couldn't pass, couldn't beat his man. I wanted him subbed after 30 mins. Then he pops up in just the right place and scores twice and wins the game for us. I have never been convinced of his wing play since he joined us but he certainly chips in with his fair share of goals. Reminds me of Scott Sinclair.

OUr league has been a laughingstock for a long time, whether it be the lack of competition, the European CL ranking, or the SPL split. Now we have another ridiculous situation with VAR making an appearance three months into a season with a quarter of the games already completed.
Is there a retrospective VAR panel for the penalties and goals we should have had up until now? Bah Ha.

I know we have been phenomenal in domestic matches, and it seems not to have had any effect (so far) . However, I noticed that our first 5 league game (apart from Sevco last week) played after theirs; Is it all down to SLY dictating KO times? Because it seems we have been put back to Sunday - even when televised.

It will be the TENTH League match of the season until Celtic play a league match before Sevco.
On October 8th we will play away to St. Johnstone at lunchtime on the Saturday and Sevco won’t kickoff until 3pm.
The first 9 league fixtures of the season,
Sevco were scheduled to play first on 7 occasions and in the other 2 fixtures, both clubs played at the same time, including the “Glasgow Derby” last week.

Away to Livingston on the Sunday ( thanks Sky )
Away to Madrid on the following Wednesday night.
Why not have our game against Livingston on the Saturday, before potentially a massive game in the CL?

Here's the bottom line. The SFA (SPFL) have previous form and are undaunted or hesitant about continuing or escalating this intimidation, lying and cheating. The Scottish media and football broadcasters are more than content to stay well out of the way, so Celtic have to fight this all the way once and for all - or stay silent and expect much more of the same and worse.

Here we go; same old 'Honest Mistake' garbage. it's high time this cheating is seriously challenged and condemned by our club.
Maybe we should go down the old 'dossier' road and I'm certain Buzz could supply multiple instances and repeat offences as evidence.

It may be impossible to make a mistake if there are several cameras in place allowing the exact angles and alinement required, but as I said last night, it was like a screenshot from the 4th official's phone 40 yards behind the alleged offence from a diagonal viewpoint.
If the SPL want to be seen as a plausible association, using the same technology as the big leagues, they have to show competence, clarity and consistency and I hope Celtic continue to call them to task over the numerous dubious decisions and honest mistakes that continue to happen every single week.
