Ralston and Kenny nowhere good enough.

Defensively we are very poor and trying to build from the back is just fraught with danger.

Neither of our keepers are good enough with the ball.

We at times looked good until we got to 30 yards out and we run out of ideas.

Not having a real goal scoring striker is hurting us.

Maedas touch and passing today were poor.

One of the worst teams in the league opened us up time after time with strength and little skill tbh, their main striker is big and awkward and Trusty struggled against him.

Our Manager screaming at the players to push up in last 10 mins just allowed Livi opportunities to move the ball long and we struggled with that.

A win is a win but this team need beefing up.

The 2nd half was about trying to control the game but we just don't have that mentality yet and had they their scoring boots on we could have been in trouble.

Ralston and Kenny IMO shouldn't be even in the stadium let alone on the pitch but sadly we don't have anyone else just now for those positions. If we don't rectify this in this winter window it will be criminal. No excuses for a striker but we need a few places filled but a good striker has to be done this window.

We give the opposition the ball when we clear and give them a shot with no one closing down.

He plays Ralson at RB and then takes on another right back to play the role of a winger in front of him.

Donovan is miles ahead of Ralston but he is played further forward and doesn't have the ability or pace to take on defenders.

WN has this idea players can play wherever he wants them to and that just does not work.

His stubborn belief in himself will get us punished against better teams.

Most teams play the long ball against us, to big strikers who can hold the ball or knock it on. Our current setup makes it hard to defend against that with only 3 back there, we can get overrun.

He is a one trick pony.

Often it is only 1 back there as he has Tierney and Ralston bombing forward.

He reminds me of John Barnes in that he is an idealist who is very rigid in his philosophy and plays an unusual system. His team is also unable to defend and has holes in the defense all over the park, which was also true of John Barnes.

Just get him tae feck now before he wastes our transfer budget and costs us the double. Whoever hired him needs to go as well.

The 4222 that Barnes played is actually a very good formation. However Tebily and Scheidt were not very good defenders! I'd take Barnes over Nancy all day everyday!

Bobby Lennox and Stevie Chalmers set the standard for me growing up. They both had speed. skill and composure and although both of them could play the striker role, they also scored plenty from wide positions.

We've had great strikers over the years and it's a pity it seems to have stalled a bit. From King Kenny to Kenny, and from DD (Dixie) to GG we've had them all in different shapes and sizes. The one that made the greatest impact on me was Charlie.

I used to watch him and Danny Crainie rip it up with the reserves until it got to the point where Big Billy couldn't hold him back any more. 48 goals in 74 games said it all.

It would be much better to keep Welsh playing first team football at Motherwell. Bring Welsh back in the summer and evaluate his progress.

Hopefully in the summer we loan Dane Murray to an SPL side and get him some continuity of playing time. I feel we should utilise the SPL more when loaning out our players.

I know we desperately need players in all positions, some of our sites are talking about wingers, midfielders I can't argue but it's a must and I can not stress enough a striker or strikers enough said.

I noticed that Ben Nygren has explained that he has played all systems since he was a kid, no real sweat, it's just football. It's about the chemistry you conjure up on the park. Nothing new in football. I've posted this message here a couple of times. Don't get hung up on formations. Skill, imagination, and a touch of good luck wins games.

I don't think he has set the world on fire but he is our top goalscorer. Lots of others have been poor and done next to nothing.
