Mcfadden says you have to go to go with on field decision as var can't get involved, what about sst night explanation would be nice from gollum.

From my understanding var gets involved in penalty, red card, mistaken identity and goal decisions. If var is inconclusive, then you go with the onfield decision.

10 Sep 2026 12:26:12
So that’s 2 VAR issues in 2 games for us, last night St Mirren had a pen claim. stamp in foot not seen and not given by VAR, we all know if that’s them it’s not only given but backed up by VAR. This really is a different tact so far this season.

Is Callum McGregor a passenger in games like last night?

I thought he had a poor game and it was obvious from early on that the pace of our play was too slow and nothing was done about it til half time.

One man I know but he is supposed to be the heart beat of the team. Poor work in this and many windows before that we don't have his successor in the building at playing some minutes.

Callum seems to play far too much in my opinion and its been catching up with him over past few season.

Where was sorenson last night non existent and baur although a good footballer is lightweight.

10 Sep 2026 12:57:01
Can you name any times baur was bullied off the ball
He’s a good player simple as
I’d rather have 3 baurs than the other two from last night.

10 Sep 2026 12:57:11
Last night it looked as if Celtic had 3 Centre Half's with Murray Mc Gregor and Trusty, Mc Gregor playing to far back for some reason.

10 Sep 2026 14:58:50
Captain Liability.

Was very poor yet again last night, can’t even win a 70/ 30 challenge in his favour.

His touch, control and passing has deteriorated so badly and add to that he’s as slow as they come.

10 Sep 2026 20:08:55
What really gets me in some games with McGregor is when we brake sometimes he drops back and wants the ball once he receives it he passes it straight back to the player he is asking the ball from.

Letting the opposition more time to organise at the back. If he isn't going to do something constructive with it for me he shouldn't be shouting for it unless the player with the ball is under pressure.

10 Sep 2026 09:44:27
Is anybody at Celtic going to show some balls and ask why our goal was disallowed, there is no proof bit like sat night meanwhile sevco getting away with murder, don't hear wee greeting puss moaning now.

Agree6 Disagree0

10 Sep 2026 10:10:04
The linesman thought the ball went out.

10 Sep 2026 11:29:45
Whilst the VAR technology in Scotland is third rate, the main issue seems to me to be the fact that ‘they’ have realised that Robertson, Beaton, McLean, Dallas etc are far more effective in achieving their aim in the VAR cupboard than on the pitch.

It allows them to re-referee without accountability. Look already at how many times this season rookie referees are on the pitch with one of the more experienced bigots on VAR.
Unless our Board call it out, be prepared for the worst.

10 Sep 2026 11:30:35
Correct but it clearly wasn't why dud var not check it.

10 Sep 2026 12:35:26
Var did check it as they do with every goal. Whether the correct decision was made is another matter.

10 Sep 2026 07:38:26
Theres definitely a change in attitude towards us this season by officials and a change towards sevco, some of the stuff going on is baffling or is it cheating.

Agree3 Disagree0

10 Sep 2026 09:18:30
I knew it would go back to the way it was when I heard the Willie Collum monthly review had been scrapped.
They can do what they want again and then go into hiding.

10 Sep 2026 10:13:57
My boy sent me a still of that goal deary me it's well in and how can var not get involved they did on sat night we need answers.

10 Sep 2026 10:25:04
Mally Buzz the "honest mistakes" are back in abundance because they know we will NOT complain

We need someone at club to call out these cheats.

10 Sep 2026 13:01:07
Well Said.

10 Sep 2026 13:21:26
St Mirren denied stone wall pen too.

10 Sep 2026 06:30:26
So we know sweeping changes might put us in danger of dropping points, especially away from home,
Our left side is a worry as if we get anymore injuries to kt it didn’t look great, tonetki is just never going to cut it at Celtic, when he arrived I had mikey Johnstone feelings about him, I’d have mikey in a heart beat now ( with jota on horizon Yang and jota is good options for thy side, let’s hope young Chelsea lb can contribute when fit)
Right now I’d say Duran would be our favoured cf, but I thought we’d try him on left to see the impact he could have there, I think we need to figure out a way of playing depending on who’s at cf, for me hogh needs Nygren to be affective,
Hassan I thought was great again, I think he created at least 5-6 outstanding scoring opportunities that it’s up to the rest to get on end of, and was robbed of a goal
Defensively changes always make us look suspect, did we give ccv a night off or injured,
Midfield I’m someone who cries out for Nygren to be held accountable for going missing but his impact going forward is clear to see, thought baur showed a bit more energy getting up and down but Sorenson jury’s still out, he was unlucky not to get on end of odd cross but looked shattered with pace of game.
What’s team for weekend
Don ccv trusty kt
Cal
Baur Nygren
Hassan Forrest
Duran

For me Duran goes left and hogh cf
I also think Hassan could work left.

European games now scare me, imo we are a cm and ch short of being able to properly compete, lb situation has really annoyed me as kt will want to play more than likely and have to play leaving us with scales domestically probably most games afterwards until lb is fit,

All in all we are still at seasons start, the team is still gelling and finding its feet, there’s loads of positives, a win at weekend against testing opposition in a testing game will mean and tell us a lot,

Agree2 Disagree0

10 Sep 2026 11:34:16
Hogh for Forrest and then switch to Duran thru middle if the big man tires and Forrest on about 60/ 70mins in.

10 Sep 2026 00:41:12
Donovan had another great match.

Agree4 Disagree0

10 Sep 2026 06:33:35
He was, odd time you see the inexperience in his play or mistake, but at rb that shouldn’t be an issue, complete make shift backline as well.

10 Sep 2026 08:11:05
He did in parts Buzz but he also gave the ball away and awful lot and he leaves a great deal of space between himself and his winger, which allowed the player to run at him or throw in crosses.

Maybe that was because he wanted to be closer to Murray to help him out but he was beaten quite a lot in the 2nd half imo.

10 Sep 2026 11:31:57
I thought Donovan was average and wingers with pace get the better of him but he's done OK so far.

10 Sep 2026 00:33:26
Steven McLean doing VAR at Ibrox denied St. Mirren a blatant penalty kick tonight.
Yet he will be assisting Baby Dallas on VAR again at Ibrox on Sunday.
Celtic will need to bring our A game to keep them out of the match.

Agree4 Disagree0

10 Sep 2026 06:42:05
We need to impose ourselves on them, take our chances as we will create them, make the atmosphere turn against them, it’s when they have a spell of the ball I worry about our reaction and defensive qualities, midfield can go missing and defenders panic, we’ve saw st mirren Dundee United and st Johnstone all manage to apply some pressure and made us look vulnerable, all away from home, for me our 2 centre back need to read game be confident and strong and defend with quality (not blasting ball out park or up park, defensive headers to and interceptions to a team mate, keeping game in front of them and not being turned ) and in midfield we need to match energy that comes to us, theve had better in this part field in most of games last few seasons at Ibrox and quality is on outside so we need to show it, I think out wide and up top we can blow them away so these areas are where we win the game.

10 Sep 2026 07:35:34
Well leave tounekti in the hoose.

10 Sep 2026 08:38:11
Literally just seen the penalty incident. Wow, ? percent stonewall. How it was just flagged away is almost as laughable as var saying we can't actually see if its in / out off / on so just chop it off ???.

09 Sep 2026 22:02:26
Happy with the victory surprised McGregor stayed on thought he had a poor game. imo.

Agree4 Disagree0

10 Sep 2026 15:03:20
That’s the biggest mystery in the world just now.

How does McGregor keep his place in the starting eleven.

Wouldn’t even have him as a sub.

09 Sep 2026 22:00:41
2 games, 3 goals!
We can expect worse on Sunday. !

Loads of positives today starting with KT and Kogh back playing.
Johnstone had a great debut in goal.
Dane Murray had a good game also.
Our consistent players played their part including Forrest off the bench.
I could’ve strangled Tounekti at halftime but he had a decent second half before going off.

A good away 3pts and our 13th straight league victory and a clean sheet for a change.

How did sevco not have a red card against them along with a penalty.

Hernandez fouled the player who got on the inside of him and won the ball. The player had a real chance of getting to goal and getting a shot off but just a yellow given and no VAR intervention.

It was a clear red, there was no way the other defender was getting across the pitch to stop a shot on goal.

No complaints from 'disgusting' Derek this week. We have had 3 goals chopped off and they have gained from no red and no penalty.

Cheating refs starting earlier this season.

No media rage at the decisions against us, what a surprise. .
