Didn't see the game as I'm working. How did we play? Was it still a 433 or did Nygren play as a 10?. Was there more urgency about our play?

Midfield played as as a unit for once. no side to side then back pish . and yes more pressing forward play.
30 Oct 2025 07:26:50
Was more of a 4-2-3-1 with Nygren as the 10. They moved the ball forward and a lot quicker. Was refreshing to watch.
30 Oct 2025 07:39:51
More direct, more forward thinking, the wide men took on defenders and the players actually looked like a weight had been lifted. Obviously these are the same players who have struggled and have been caught in the middle of all of the flack and one result is not a cure-all; but it's a very good confident start under MON.
29 Oct 2025 21:19:00
Is anyone still saying the board were the main problem? Looking more like Brenda was the problem. O'Neil getting a tune out of the Honda civic. Yes the board are still problem but the ex manager was worse. In my opinion. ??.

They all share the blame.
29 Oct 2025 21:41:55
Yes the board didn't back the club Shaun, we ain't a 1 man band. ??♂️.
29 Oct 2025 21:54:33
The players looked as if they had been let off the leash tonight, nothing holding them back.
That is the most chances we have created in the league for some time.
Ralston was the only person in the team that spent the night coming backwards with the ball.
Sarrachi is a monster, he was up and down the field all game, winning the ball, getting in crosses.
A much better, energetic performance.
Only moan would be a slow start yet again but once we got going, there was only going to be one winner.
Well done JK for his 2 goals and the CB's for dealing with the long ball from them all night.
29 Oct 2025 22:02:13
Let the players play.
29 Oct 2025 22:47:03
Yes clearly the board are the main issue. A 4-0 win at home to a Falkirk team that doesn't sit in a low block doesn't mask the issues at the club.
The football played was more direct and MO made some clever tweaks to the system which were needed compared to the ponderous way we have been playing.
The club sold two centre forwards and a RW without bringing in replacements before the window closed. The only reason we signed a CF was Seville ripped his contract up just before the deadline.
- Slow recruitment year on year.
- Poor recruitment.
- Lack of foresight to develop and modernise.
- Selling players before champions league qualifier without a replacement.
Are just a few of the many issues lying at our boards feet.
So yes there are many of us who lay the majority of the blame at the boards/ higher ups shoes.
29 Oct 2025 22:47:24
Everything DD said about Brendan was correct.
29 Oct 2025 22:56:35
All to blame, and it's only 1 game, vs Falkirk, I could've got a tune out the civic, long way to go.
30 Oct 2025 05:46:56
Just seen Sarrachi run past my house and I'm in Inverness! What a shift he put in last night. Unfortunately, that shows how KT is not suitable for the position at the moment.
Big shout out to Scales who had another great game and is showing improvement every time.
A great performance by the Bhoys and one that should put that lot out on Sunday if we play similar.
30 Oct 2025 07:28:05
We've got to get him signed up permanently.
30 Oct 2025 11:51:34
The statement was out of order all it needed was for DD to say he was gone and we were putting Martin in.
30 Oct 2025 12:31:39
Poor recruitment, not enough to beat Dundee, or poor management.
29 Oct 2025 21:19:00

Yes me and thousands of others. You not see the protests? Remember its the board that signed Rodgers.
30 Oct 2025 07:06:34
Many of these issues have there long before Rodgers.
30 Oct 2025 08:14:42
Calm doon it's one game.
30 Oct 2025 13:29:56
The Board were and are the problem - PL needs to go and DD needs to either buy out the other shareholders or get his nose out of Club business.
29 Oct 2025 20:40:44
Nygren looking the part. He's going to miss a lot creat a lot and score a lot. Welcome home Martin. ☘️☘️☘️.

I wish he would score just a few more of the ease ones ?.
30 Oct 2025 07:07:47
He has a foot like a sand wedge but he did have a good game last night.
30 Oct 2025 08:19:45
Football is a RESULTS driven industry. BR has won many trophies etc with Celtic. FACT. If BR is divisive and self serving why did DD offer an extension to BRs contract?
30 Oct 2025 09:26:04
They offered him a new contract early on, before the nonsense started after the window is what I took from DDs statement.
They are all to blame, the board for not providing the Manager with the tools he needed and the Manager for having a hissy fit for not getting what he wanted.
I don't think he was ever signing a new contract, no matter what he said.
30 Oct 2025 13:31:02
Raymond - spot on - DD's rant does not add up.

Did he not say suspenders??? great to see the midfield playing as a unit helping defense and linking with big kenny . big eagles having good game.
29 Oct 2025 20:37:12
Also great to see energy from lb.
29 Oct 2025 20:52:16
Nevermind JFP. I think I cried a bit when I saw wee Martin jumping up and down after the goal ?.
29 Oct 2025 21:44:24
Ed007 did you edit my post or was it autocorrect, lol? I didn't type 'cried', it was something else I nearly did when he jumped. Apologies if that was a bit naughty!
{Ed007's Note - Aye mate lol ????
29 Oct 2025 15:51:39
ED007 now we know when AGM is
Do you think the rumours are true about both Pedro and Nicholson standing down
Have you heard anything else
Obviously DD will remain in charge, but do you think he will soften his stance and appoint a Director of Football (Martin? )
Will there be sufficient funds released January for whoever is in charge to sign good quality first team ready players
I realise this may depend IF permanent manager in place by then.
{Ed007's Note - I honestly don't know what to believe with the Pedro & Beaker rumours, we've all heard the rumours about Lawwell's health - which isn't something I'm comfortable speculating about.
As for MON as DOF, I'm not sure if he would have the skill set to do that but why not have him on the board as Chairman, although Haughey has been tipped to be after that role.}

MON as manager… temp or interim. Shows what a mess we are.
Shouldn't be near our club after the way he left it… set us back big time in 2003….
30 Oct 2025 00:45:29
Well he's back and i for one am delighted to see him there. Delighted to see the back of elite worldwide and his banal brand of football and childish psychological mind games. Football was actually decent too.
29 Oct 2025 10:32:09
If Celtic do secure the services of the Ipswich manager surely compensation costs would not be an issue. We buy players costing millions who don't always deliver.
Mostly everyone reckons that young McKenna is the bees knees, so re-invest some of those millions DD.

We could sell Rodgers' s duds to cover it!
29 Oct 2025 17:58:04

You'd be better selling the boards club signings to pay Rodgers when he sues the club for character assassination on the clubs official website by a major shareholding Non-Executive Director.
29 Oct 2025 18:29:52
1 of Lawells minions told Rodger Hannah that he had been trying to engineer a move a few months back. Our Narcissist put down his putter and gave the ego pelters. i'm glad he's gone as the football has been awful for about a year.
A billionaire and a millionaire who will continue to make money no matter what happens. Nicholson and Co should be next out the door.
29 Oct 2025 19:23:23
Don't see that at all Rodgers was saying silly things. Do you believe a motivated BR would have lost the CL games. I feel he put himself before club and did inflame genuine concerns to get fans onside. He walked before its always about BR that's his style.
He's gone now that's that forward. It's not character assassination imo when your are using describing words which relate to a person's actions, not their character as facts are that. Hopefully we get the fill picture.
30 Oct 2025 00:49:54
He plugged himself before he was plugged in ruthless fashion. Was dragging the whole ship down. Had to go and i for one will not miss him.
29 Oct 2025 17:07:09
Now that the dust has settled, I'm content to see Brendan Rodgers away; because for quite a while now Celtic have been a difficult watch with very few memorable performances.
However, it's very clear that he was not the main reason our club is in such a mess - no matter how strongly Dermot Desmond points the finger. Recruitment for a club of our size and wealth has been atrocious with so many misfits and flops replacing any decent talent we sold for big profit.
The ex-manager is said to have had a say in transfer business, but the amount of players that were frozen-out would contradict this. Good luck to MON and SM for as long as they remain - they will need it. Searching for a new manager is a priority (outwith our next 2 games) ; but there needs to be a serious review of our incompetent Board or nothing will ever improve.

Lots of people saying Bellamy but surely we are aiming higher than that.
There are no ex players that we should seriously be thinking about. Scott Brown, Malloney and Keane are nowhere near experienced enough to manage Celtic.
If DD does get any of them, it is a real cheap option with a clear message that we are down sizing.
29 Oct 2025 17:47:29
Listen to Bellamy on High Performance Podcast He is brilliant on it and a deep thinker on the game but seems very loyal to Wales.
