Anyone pissed off with being linked with half hearts team, a poor Celtic or sevco points tally any other years rubbishs on this league, d mcinnes yes has 3 games to better it but he has less points now than he did 3 times with Aberdeen when manager, there may be some sense in there guru player model that for a fraction of price they can find players we are paying money for but that’s it, the plaudits there getting is annoying me, if they win they will deserve it, but let’s get real whoever wins it is worst winner in 40 plus years.

I expect more SPFL dross to be signed to join the below average dross we already have.

Engles and Nygren will be sold to the highest bidder with only a fraction invested in the team to cover NAP shortfall.

I for one will be hanging on to the last day before I make my decision on renewing or not.

Hearts have now conceded the first goal in 5 of their last 6 league games although they still have a decent record of 4 wins,1 Draw and one defeat in those matches.

Hearts have only won 2 from their last 10 league visits to Fir Park.

Celtic have had 7 midweek games and our record is 5 wins and 2 defeats.
We also won 1-0 against St. Mirren on a Saturday night.
Hearts midweek record is 4 wins, 2 Draws and one defeat.

Strange how we beat Dundee in our 7th last game in both 1986 and 2026.
The same with St. Mirren in our 6th last game and Hibs in the 4th last match 40 years apart.
We also have Motherwell in our 2nd last match the same as 1986.

Yes Tim but Scotland lose that 2nd CL from next season.
We would have 3 CL Qualifiers to get to the Group Stage.

Celtic or Hearts will need to win one Qualifier to be guaranteed a Group Stage place in one of the competitions.

You’re right if Celtic lose the Cup Final then Sevco will need to win all 3 Conference League Qualifiers with no parachute.
That’s if they finish 3rd in the table.

The thing Celtic have in their favour is we have done this before and we are used to playing weekend, midweek, weekend and the last game is at home where each goal on the day counts as 2.

However, make no mistake, this is going to be a hard task.

What a rollercoaster this season has been. Just hope that if Hearts win the league the board don't decide to sell Tierney again in order to buy the whole Hearts team. I can't get my head around the fact that with just three games to go that Hearts on a fraction of our budget are favourites.

Hope i'm wrong but I think it could be a few seasons before we're back as need a complete overhaul - board, scouts, players etc. Hearts have shown its not about spending lots of money but rather spending the money we have wisely.

We don't need 3 wise men to come to paradise but we do need at least one.

It's not that simple, we need to win all 3 games and better Hearts goal difference, we need them to drop a point in their 2 games before they play us, that way wee will win it outright if we do win all our games, hopefully the spirit of Love Street 40 years ago will carry us to the title, hopefully it's an omen, I've still got a feeling that we're going to do it ?.

If hearts and us lose our next two games and draw the last match and they win all three of their games, there has to be no room for complacency.

If we win all 3, we might lose the title on goal difference.

We need one of two teams to take something from Hearts and we need to beat them and I cannot see Falkirk or even Morherwell taking something from them. They have nothing other than pride to play for.

If we were the team of 2 seasons ago, I would have more confidence that we could beat them and score the goals we need but this season we are never scoring that amount of goals.

We just don't create or take that level of chances.

I hope I am proved wrong.

Even 2nd we get CL football but probably 30 qualifying rounds.

No reason not to invest properly in the team, as we need to be ready to start qualifying games early whether we win the league or are runners up.

Either way there is a chance of qualifying and getting big money, so our board need to be ready for the starting pistol when the summer window opens. NO CHANCE.

The only upside, if there is one, to being 2nd would be that sevco would not have CL and access to big money.

Will they try and spend big in summer again or try and offload some galacticos to balance the books.

All of the above, even though it appears I would be happy being 2nd (and I can assure you I would not be) , does not take away from how much our boards lack of investment and absolutely terrible recruitment has set us back years.

We need to reset and start building again, starting with a new Manager, recruitment policy and football strategy.

@drb remember that we don't need to score 5 to overcome the present goal difference. Each goal we win by against hearts counts as 2 as it adds 1 to us and subtracts 1 from them.
