So Ange is favourite for the Leicester job, won't that interfere with his work at Spurs, Leeds, Crystal Palace and Chelsea? ?.

Too late, you’re meant to piss off in February.
2.) 06 Apr 2023 21:14:46
Ange is now out to 14/ 1.
Ladbrokes have Benitez as their favourite @ 5/ 2.

Here's one for the statistions amongst us. Due to the amount of possession we have in most games, is there a ratio or percentage of the number of balls into our box that end up as goals? It does seem as if opponents only need to be in our box a few times per game to end up scoring. Maybe over thinking or getting things out of proportion but be interested if anyone knew, . Buzz ??.

It does seem that we have a 'soft centre' at times and I feel we still need better than Trusty and Scales to tighten up defensively. Although it could also be said our full backs sometimes contribute a lot more in an attacking role. The Dundee game was the second time in a month that we conceded three goals in a game; however if we can turn all our possession and chances created like last night into goals it would all be immaterial.

Coughing up three goals three times has been very disappointing as we have been very good defensively in most of our games especially as our whole team try to play on the front foot . For some reason when we are pushed back and opponents are allowed to put under continuous pressure we just cave in and concede goal . Obviously BR and coaches will have to sort that out with our whole team .
It use to be said that managers really need to worry when team aren’t creating chances, it’s almost unbelievable the chances we are making and missing . All our attacking players seem to be affected by casual or whatever reason, they have for glaring misses . If it was easy to cut these misses out, I am sure we would have done so . Let’s hope we start taking more of our chances soon.

Should have finished this game in the first 30 mins! Yet again so wasteful with clear opportunities and one ball into our box screws us.
1.) 18 Jan 2025 19:35:56
Well we made hard work of that!

Read all the opinions on KT but can't help thinking it's a free hit that has already paid for itself. If he never left and was always out injured, our bank account would be minus £25M. Get both sides of the debate but sort of on the fence with this one.

Best team won, they wanted it more, but there was only one team on the park. We were pathetically inept in every department and looked like total strangers who had never seen a ball before. Hatate was particularly awful but hard to pick anyone who wasn't! Even think we were better against Dortmand when we got horsed.
We have looked off it for last Six to eight weeks though managed to grind out results. Fortunately, we are in a window and have the wherewithal and a chance to freshen the squad as long as they are better than what we have, even if some favourites need to move on.
Not a knee jerk but standing still in football equates to going backwards.

When you get beat 3 zip and you have more than 2/ 3 of possession it shows that the ball is wasted being played in the wrong area of the pitch.
2.) 02 Jan 2025 17:43:09
Nothing to take from that game in terms of plusess and most have made the points I would probably made. This will make us better. The transfers will now be ramped up and needed to be honest. I hope that action will be taken against them for our player being struck with a missile, not the first time and won't be the last.

Thought Ralston was excellent yesterday. Quietly efficient and cover every blade of grass.

He's definitely goid enough for spl as good as anybody in the league but Europe is another thing.
2.) 27 Dec 2024 10:56:53
I thought he also had a great match when he came on in the final.
3.) 27 Dec 2024 12:23:15
At this stage we are building a team to be competitive in Europe. We should expect our first teams stars to be good enough to play well domestically and in Europe . We need a back -up squad capably of performing well domestically and not let us down completely in Europe .
We are lucky we have Ralston, both for his ability and also that he is club trained.

Anthony Ralston is in his 10th year at Celtic as a first team regular. Scottish internationalist with black boots and nae daft haircut who always gives his best for club and country no more can be asked of any man. Airdrie’s finest. On permanent stand keeping himself fit and always available in the event of an injury to Alastair Johnstone. Never let's the detractors get to him which he will no doubt hear and never let's us down when called upon to wear the green and white. What a positive professional attitude. He had an excellent game yesterday. Unfortunately he’s a whipping bhoy for a section of the support. The ‘we need a ‘step up at right back for Europe is an often heard comment. Tell me a position in the Celtic team that couldn’t do with being improved upon for Europe?
6.) 27 Dec 2024 14:04:44
We're blessed with two quality RB's, Hope Taylor signs a new deal and we get another permanent LB then we're sorted in the full back areas.

Spot on re Ralston JFP, a true Celt.
15 Jan 2025 06:54:48
Good shout, almost ?.
29 Aug 2024 23:36:41
Don’t forget that half the lies that people tell are not true, or some Shiite like that . T, s and I, s crossed and dotted or it doesn’t matter a feck.
30 Jul 2024 22:49:48
I know we can only speculate, but if we made an offer and they state they want more, does that put Norwich in a position similar to ‘fat boy’ at sevco when they said he was worth £20M and his agent went back and demanded a wage rise to reflect their valuation?
30 Jul 2024 21:19:07
Having no option to buy was Celtic's fuck up. There may have been no time so late in the window. It appears the people running Celtic never learn!
30 Jul 2024 21:15:40
Had they not already sanctioned a loan with option to buy for 3M with someone else before he came to us? But then after his successful stint with us, they re evaluated which they definitely have every right to do.
18 Jan 2025 19:35:56
Well we made hard work of that!

{Ed007's Note - ????
09 Jan 2025 23:41:01
Sorry, used a bad word. The statement was about the F all that’s coming into the box.
{Ed007's Note - The filter must have cut it out, Chas, don't worry about it.
09 Jan 2025 23:23:33
If him and Kyogo keep having to come deeper to get a touch on the ball they can’t be on the end of all that’s coming into the box.
09 Jan 2025 22:22:33
Their equaliser shouldn’t have stood, definitely a penalty at other when Murray was fouled. Regardless of how soft, anywhere else on the park, that’s a foul and a booking.
