Livingston have always made it hard for our lone strikers over the years because they basically play 3 against 1.
I’m sure he will make a good contribution for the rest of the season.

Last minute loans were always a huge gamble but it's still early days. For me the constant switching and changing middle to front in the last few weeks has affected consistency, but we did create enough last night to win three games barring our lack of quality and composure.

One thing for sure is we need to improve as we go and keep winning, but please Celtic cut out the fannying about at the back! We are not good enough and it invites teams onto us and we end up making daft mistakes and putting us under pressure.

We give so many opportunities to the opposition by mucking about at the back or making stupid tackles out wide.

Our real achiles heel is defending set pieces but during a game we give teams opportunity after opportunity to fire balls into our box.

Most of the teams in our league have scored most of their goals from set pieces, and that us our weakness.

At the other end, last night demonstrated another major issue, our final ball, had it been better, big Thomas would have had a couple of real chances to score but our final ball was either too far in front of him or behind him.

When a player hit the byeline, the ball was hit towards the 6 yard box, where at least 2 or 3 defenders were covering the front post, just once was it pulled back towards the penalty spot where CM met it coming into the box.

On a couple of occasions Nygren was in the middle of the box near the penalty spot and a cut back would have given him a real chance at a shot on goal, however the balls went to the near post and were cleared for a corner.

Beating your defender is great but if your final ball is poor it just frustrates strikers.

They've played a handful of games between them and have come into a team, that, by any stretch of the imagination, is as poor as I've seen in many years.

I'd at least wait until the season was finished and see how they've done.

Rangers 4 home games 3 away.

Hearts 4 home games 3 away.

We have Motherwell at home Rangers away. 2 of the arguably hardest games left before the split.

Get to the split top or at worst a few points I think we can just about go on to win this thing. But we need to find a killer touch on front of goal.

Martin has now been in charge of 10 league games this season and his record is 9 wins and 1 Draw Away to Hearts with 8 games before the split.

Danny Rohl has been in charge of 18 League matches this season and he has a decent record of 13 Wins 4 Draws and 1 Defeat Away to Hearts.

For MON to have an identical record in his first 18 League games his record in his next 8 League matches before the split would need to read -
Won 4 Drawn 3 and Lost 1.

Although Rohl has done a good job I reckon will continue to do better.

I agree MON's record is fantastic but lately we are cutting it far too fine and although it shows a will to win mentality; we need the front players to sharpen up and make the most of possession and chances.

Recent performances have been poor.

Only thing keeping me going is the opposition ain’t great, but we need to hit form soon before we go to Ibrox.

If Sundays results go our way we might get a timely boost.

Score our chances created and we have a real chance of winning the league and cups but therein lies the problem, we don't have a Gary Hooper or Sutton or Henrick to punish the opposition.

Not convinced any of our strikers can go on a goal scoring run to win us both trophies.

Winning the remainder of the league games, for me, is a big ask. If we were free scoring and putting games to bed much earlier, I'd look at it differently.

On the plus side, we're still finding ways to win.

I could see us potentially going undefeated for the remainder of the league games with some draws in there, it then comes down to the other teams points total.

Is playing two up top out of the question or is that just not the done thing these days?

I'm not suggesting we play 3 at the back to accomadate this either, but even in the latter stages of some matches, two sttikers playing off each other could make a huge difference.

Clearly that would impact how the midfield is set up and, to be fair, our midfield has been dross this season and I'm not sure we'd have the necessary combination of players to enable 2 up?

I've never been a fan of a 'lone' striker for a number of obvious reasons, I'd be interested to hear views on how possible this might be because, other than not killing games off, our good is currently last out of the top 3 teams in the league.

Honestly if we win this league and it's a big if, it'll go go down as one of the best, we are so limited as a team and lacking in every area the worse team in the league and we are struggling, the ox gets us the points, our best striker ilheanacho should be starting if fit.

I noticed Sevco had 2 strikers on their bench last night in a hard away match.
I suppose having Sterling on their bench allows them that luxury because he can cover most other positions.

Maybe Iheanacho should also be on our bench for a home match against the bottom club but I’m not sure to which other positions expense.
Possibly only have one fullback on their bench against easier opponents.

What has happened to Iheanacho, he doesn't seem to feature. He looked like the best striker we have but hss not been given a chance since he recovered from injury.

I'm interested that you think Inheanacho is our best striker, that really would show how poor this current team is viewed in years to come.

You may well be right and to be honest, I've got a feeling we'll need every performance and every goal we can get from the three strikers we have on the books if we're going to retain the title.

Our inability to get more goals followed by a lack of responsibility and confidence in final 3rd was glaring last night, downright refusal to pick a hard pass or find a runner and instead check back, recycle, move across pitch and eventually cross into a row of trees as defenders, we got out jail by great piece of quality, be a miracle if we get thru this next month with title chase still intact (and I’m the optimistic of fans who previously and still think hearts and sevco aren’t title winners, my worry is we’re not showing it either)

We obv had a pile of shots saved but the saves weren’t that great, we need to find a clinical side and find a real buzz out of putting teams away,

Celtic have had 17 more shots than Sevco in the league this season but Yet Sevco have had 12 more shots on target.

We have played One league game less.
It’s obvious where we need to improve.

Sakd before that the sideways shuffle and pedantic passing was nothing to do with Rodgers - it's initiated by McGregor and Scales etc and initial high tempo that has started many games soon falls away if we fail to get that early goal. Celtic need to up the pace and intensity.
