Utter p*sh. I know it's only Nancy's first game and I said I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, but what an egotistical pr*ck making all those changes with one day to to teach them the new formation, right before a match with your main title challengers.
The amount of missed passes - no-one knew where their teammates were supposed to be. Trusty can't make a pass and isn't the man to play there in that formation. Wanted Tounetki to come good, but . And subbing him for McCowan?! And that stupid wee board can get tae as well.
Maybe the system will come good, but trying it wholesale before Hearts, Europe and a Cup final is naive to say the least.

I pointed this out before he was appointed. It was stupidity on the boards part, appointing an inexperienced manager who played a system that did not suit our current crop of players.
If it goes tits up, the board are to blame and Nicholson and the board can't blame it on tisdale as they told us that they had been tracking him for sometime and he was their first choice.
07 Dec 2025 18:00:40
That is one of the negatives with the 3421 formation, the players don't know what positions to be in. It is proper gash!

We totally fell apart in the second half. Have to say it's a game we all know martin would have won. Nancy will have to learn quick. hail hail.

How do we know Martin would have won it? Even without Martin we should have won comfortably today but missed too many sitters.
07 Dec 2025 17:15:07
Lots of careless passing and play. Midfield needs sorting and Trusty and Maeda weren't at the races. Maeda runs at the defender 1-2-1 and then falls or doesn't have the composure to finish. Trusty gets the ball and too slow to release it.
07 Dec 2025 17:17:01
No one does but Martin had us winning, stick to what is a formula winning until you assess like he says what he needs to assess buying players.
07 Dec 2025 16:36:16
Defending shocking, subs shocking, stop playing with little board and get this team going I know I posted earlier that I could see what he is trying but he has got to put more into it cannot just put high balls into box does not have the players to play this way.

He should have never been appointed as he does not have the necessary skill set to navigate this difficult period of turmoil. He will have lost the fans by the time the January transfer window comes . Another disaster from our board.
They should have stuck with O'Neil or got an experienced manager who played a system that suited our current players.
Ted lasso and his wee board can do one on my opinion. It is about to get super toxic. Who could have predicted that? ?.

The players were sh it, end of. The passing was woeful. The movement, slow as f eck. We have nothing up front. Tounekti and Balikwisha woukdnt get a game for Pollok. £10m and wages for two imposters. Engels missing that header, just p ish. Free header for second goal. Not a single player turned up, you can be confused by tatics, but letting that make you incapable of making a ten yard pass, getting a shot on target, not miss sitters. Off ye feck. that's the players 100%.
The MSN will try to pile on pressure to Nancy, when its the players that need their collective balls parted.
07 Dec 2025 17:35:24
It was a new system and they only had a short time to work on it, so no wonder they didn't know where to pass.
07 Dec 2025 18:02:09
100% it is on the manager!
07 Dec 2025 18:05:54
Toothless up front. Poor rushed passing. missed 2 sitters.
Many think he's our Russell martin. We must have had about 25 crosses into their box and only once did we get on the end of it.
07 Dec 2025 16:31:34
Shocking, 1st goal no one playing to whistle yet mcgregor not even strong enough, 2nd goal should been offside never a corner yet shock horror never deal with it, but why change it? Manager watch us been dire, start to get some wins, but with so few trainings decides he wants to play his formation, don't get it, he needs time to assess players to buy but not any time to play formation he prefers? Yes playing good high intensity football but no end product why?

We have nothing up front. Tounekti is shocking, he gets to the byline and doesn't put it into the middle, he cuts back onto his right and by that time the defence are back.
On the right we did nothing.
Maeda could have put us ahead but we did nothing after that.
Controlled the game but did not threaten.
We are so weak up front.
07 Dec 2025 17:00:58
It's all Brendan's and the green brigades fault though, the board have done nothing wrong.
07 Dec 2025 21:08:21
Who is that comment aimed at Joe.
The players were not good today.
They have to take the blame as does rhe Manager.
BR didn't improve many of our players in the last season and a half and imo the GB and the board need to get into the ring and fight it out.
Most people on here accept that the players are at fault and highlight that and we don't need to mention the board in every post or the GB.
07 Dec 2025 15:54:37
I can see what he is trying to do but yang never on the right, Maeda should have scored shocking defending for the goal keeper never had a shot to save prior to goal.

McInnes has them leaving Trusty when he has the ball. They are covering CM because Trusty cannot pass the ball.
The amount of times Trusty could pass through their defence is unbelievable but he doesn't have either the confidence or ability to do it.
07 Dec 2025 13:41:55
@jFP - Makes you hate the board even more.
The board are tone deaf if they believe it is only the green brigade that have had enough. Loads of die hard Celtic fans are bewildered and angry with what they see going on at Celtic right now.
There was probably a window for reconciliation but that ship has sailed and the lot of them need to go now.
07 Dec 2025 13:56:48
That scurrilous line about fans' "only vocation" makes me furious. A blatant, classict dogwhistle implying that Celtic fans are unemployed militants. Surprised it hasn't attracted more ire and condemnation. Truly deplorable.
07 Dec 2025 14:38:07
Why are our fan media so much more talented than our board.
07 Dec 2025 11:09:23
I never watched Nancy's first press conference as I have no time for the monkey's in the media and generally don't find the pressers that interesting.
Like many, I'm underwhelmed by the appointment but will be more than happy to be proved wrong.
Given the comment made about it not being the end of the world if we lose, if he doesn't fully understand the goldfish bowl that is football in Glasgow, and the hype whipped up by the media, he soon will.
Nancy apparently favours a 3-4-2-1 formation and with his first game in charge at home, against a Hearts team who have struggled in recent weeks, aligned with Celtic's record against today's opposition over the last 29 games (27 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat) , as BuzzBomb posted just the other day, you'd think he'll get off to a flier.
One thing's for sure, as crass, out of touch and generally awful this current Celtic board is, the new manager and team will get supported, no doubt about that.
I wish ? the new manager all the success in the world and hope he's at Celtic winning trophies long after certain members of this board have departed. ?

I tried but I couldn't listen to him.

Not been so apprehensive about a game for a while. Players and supporters have just enjoyed a perfect pick-up from MON and he will be a hard act to follow. When you add the acrimony and resentment between Board and Support to the pressure of todays game against a team managed by Slug2 - this will be a huge test for the champions.
