Hearing OX has signrd am going into hybernation can u do that in the summer.

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Jul 2026 23:54:45
He will do a job after a good pre-season, a good back up to replace Hatate in the squad.

04 Jul 2026 10:00:35
Offered absolutely nothing in the run in. Had 5 months to get fit. Trained with Arsenal last pre season. He's done just more downsizing.

04 Jul 2026 16:29:26
Without his goal contributions we don't win the league. But shows the ambition of the board. Now not to slate Ox as he's had a good career but he was a late panic signing after the window was shut.

He ain't getting any younger and a lot of games just seemed to pass by him. I'd have hoped his place would have gone to a new arrival. Going to be another long, nail-biting window.

04 Jul 2026 10:14:42
Hi Ed, have you any info on what we was paying the Ox in wages? Only fee that seems to pop up is £55k. Surely that can't be right? And if he's extended his deal he would be on the same? Seems excessive for a bit part player who didn't impress.

I get that that only equates to £2.86m a season which isn't too much of an outlay when you think if we loaned a player you have a loan fee as well as wages on top.

{Ed007's Note - That £55k a week story has been going about since he came in mate, I didn't believe it then and I don't believe it now. When he signed I was told that the money wasn't a factor, it was more the chance to sign for a club Celtic's size/prestige with a chance to prove himself.
What I did notice was that when we signed him in January there was a years option to extend it, we never done that and that clause/option would have expired at the end of June and it's been reported he has signed a "new one year deal" so, imo, even if he was getting the 55k a week Celtic wouldn't have offered him that in any new deal. I'd say he's on £25k- £35k a week maybe even depending on if he's fit and plays.}

05 Jul 2026 10:46:43
Thanks Ed. Either way those wages would probably still prove to be the financially cheaper outlay over a loan fee and decent wages to someone that we don't know what we're getting. If they're considerably lower then it's good all round.

{Ed007's Note - ???

03 Jul 2026 13:37:58
Also GK sorted for cl as we signed Warren Lyall from Dundee. ?.

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Jul 2026 13:01:04
Also in other news Bournemouth have had a £21.4m bid rising to £25.7m accepted for Celtic linked Alvaro Rodriguez. Can rule that one out as never happening.

Agree3 Disagree0

03 Jul 2026 12:57:02
£1.7m Bid rejected for Qarabag and Columbian ST Camilo Duran. Apparently £2.5m might be enough to tempt them. Can play on the wing or as a striker. Ed knows his stuff ?.

Agree3 Disagree0

03 Jul 2026 13:53:26
What a riddy feck me it'll hardly break the bank we're a basket case.

03 Jul 2026 14:35:30
No doubt another club will jump in and pay the 2.5.m.

03 Jul 2026 17:47:57
Just IMO I don't care how much any players cost as long as they improve the team and I hope the ones that come in are first team players not back up squad players.

03 Jul 2026 22:29:04
He looks a snip T2B. Scored against Ajax, Frankfurt (2) Benfica and Newcastle in last seasons UCL. So he obviously has something about him. Would still like to see us sign a proper out and out ST like Hogh as well though.

03 Jul 2026 11:18:25
Anyone hear the rumour were supposedly bid £10m for the 3 Motherwell boys rising to £12m, am not on twitter or anything like that but my pal sent me it this morning whos in Canada at moment, he's on teitter mind u.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Jul 2026 12:32:15
Good deal for Celtic but I reckon we will need to pay slightly more because I think Motherwell were wanting £6M in January for their wee forward.

03 Jul 2026 13:12:35
I'd be for it as well supposedly opened talks fir quarabag striker.

03 Jul 2026 23:57:02
You will need to pay at least £15m for they 3 players.

01 Jul 2026 15:12:12
Kelechi is a fine talented player. I understand that Celtic will pass on offering him a deal and I will be sorry to see him leave. His cameo contributions were significant in our run in to victory.

Agree16 Disagree0

01 Jul 2026 16:44:57
Great value for money at 30,000 p. w. ?.

01 Jul 2026 19:18:41
Without him we don’t win the league but should be aiming for a player with far more in his locker. Fitness is required.

02 Jul 2026 13:24:39
If we had signed a proper main striker, the league would not have been in jeopardy, we would have likely qualified for CL and Rodgers would probably still be our manager and the turmoil around the club would have been avoided.

02 Jul 2026 15:16:48
That’s a decent assessment Joe, but are you now prepared to draw a line now that you have placed your finger on the problem?

02 Jul 2026 18:05:23
Joe most of the things you are unhappy about seem pre the issue you just mentioned yours is deep router compared to that relatively simple assessment, I agree tho most of the rest of fanbase would have accepted just a striker, and br could have smashed league with just a striker, and winning games changes minds.

04 Jul 2026 03:56:06
WeeJoe, seen you post about the board a number of times and while agree with most of it, would like to hear what your path back to trusting the board is. Is it just get rid of the current group and hope the next group are more trustworthy or is there actually specific changes you want? Saying oust this guy and the next is easy but in your mind what does a great board your support look like? Not having a dig here if that’s how this question is coming across.

Genuinely interested to hear what solves this for you and gets you back behind the club again, faithful thru n thru!

I've uploaded the latest from the Fans Collective onto that section of the forum, you can read it HERE.

Celtic have raided Hearts for their Set piece coach Ross Grant.

Agree7 Disagree0

29 Jun 2026 10:19:36
I would like to add it looks like we are going in the right direction bringing in a set piece coach at long last, As long as we bring in quality players now too back it up.

29 Jun 2026 16:14:49
I read recently that Baby Strachan has been our set piece coach for the last 6 years.
Maybe fake news.

29 Jun 2026 17:03:02
The hearts boys last set peice worked out well for us ?.

30 Jun 2026 15:22:17
Fancy this may be prompted by the new rules for throw-ins?

30 Jun 2026 18:56:40
Definitely a plus. The amount of set plays we make a mess of is a norm these days.

26 Jun 2026 09:33:06
So there we have it, Maloney and Fotheringham confirmed as backroom team for the season.

Don't think it was ever in doubt and all the rumours were just trouble making.

Agree9 Disagree0

26 Jun 2026 12:30:14
McManus in there too. Another job for the boys instead of going for the talent that’s out there!

26 Jun 2026 12:38:43
Well there was an easy way to shout all that down. It’s called communication?

26 Jun 2026 12:55:24
It was in significant doubt, they have been messed about terribly.

26 Jun 2026 14:13:56
Who replaces strachan.

26 Jun 2026 15:39:52
The Ipad air.

27 Jun 2026 06:53:23
Woopey effin doo. The way those barstewards on our board are going, they seem to want ratface to have a great first season at Mordor. Despise every single one of those feckers. .

27 Jun 2026 14:17:06
You can always rely on our club to make such a meal out of standing rigidly still.

27 Jun 2026 18:57:53
Everybody seems to be making judgements and believing the media bull…why not wait a few weeks and see where we are. I highly doubt mon would agree to come back unless made significant promises.

27 Jun 2026 19:14:09
Why not wait a few weeks?

Thats the same line heard every transfer window.

Why not as a club be prepared for once.

It took to the 11th June to confirm MON

It took to this Friday to confirm the staff.

Season starts in 5 weeks.

27 Jun 2026 23:27:55
Am sure BR was promised a multitude of things to come back a2nd time and look how that panned out.

23 Jun 2026 16:10:09
Ed

Heard Maloney can't agree terms and looks like he's moving away. With Strachan junior gone it's a fair chunk of our backroom team. Heard any snippets.

{Ed007's Note - I've not heard that about Maloney.}

Agree2 Disagree3

24 Jun 2026 10:17:51
Cheers. Got told it was all sorted on Monday. Then yesterday it had went sideways.

The club and its lack of the communication. Causes most of these rumours to run wild.

{Ed007's Note - It's folk attention seeking & hit whoring on social media and the MSM joining in doesn't help matters. The hourly updates on transfers is just ludicrous, they know fans think that CEOs/managers etc are just sitting on their phone all day to-ing and fro-ing in transfer negotiations so they feed into that with tales of rejected offers, new improved offers, etc.
I'm expecting MON's backroom team to be announced before preseason starts on Friday.}

24 Jun 2026 14:03:08
Just read a interesting article from Spiers who is very friendly with O'Neill. Hope your right and we have nothing to worry about. Weeks to sign a manager and backroom staff. The squad rebuild will be a scoot. HH.

24 Jun 2026 19:19:26
O'Neill and the backroom staff will be unveiled on the first day of preseason training, they want it to be the big story and not give the Sevconian the limelight and let them announce McIness first, old Stein trick, grandstand them.

25 Jun 2026 08:42:28
LetterKenny

That doesn't even make sense. Anyway what I've been told. Who knows ?‍♂️

Fortheningham signed up on Friday

Maloney hasn’t signed up as part of coaching setup and there's been fallout over it all

McManus is back involved

Strachan not been replaced yet.

25 Jun 2026 16:05:38
Read the message again troll, Maloney and Fotheringham will be announced and paraded tomorrow at preseason training and the rest you must be thick not to get, and incidentally Sevconians wasn't the word i had used for the team from Govan, I'm not the only one on here that thinks that you might not be a Tim.

25 Jun 2026 17:17:57
So Celtic are stealing the limelight of Sevco by announcing Maloney and Fizzy. A mater stroke from Stein era. I that will wipe the world cup of the back pages as well.

My Celtic credentials will hold up against anyone on here no problem. Home and Away from the 80s.

Time will tell. I hope you are correct. I only put up what I got told the page is called Celtic RUMOURS. HH.

26 Jun 2026 10:34:30
There you go troll, Maloney announced, just like I told you he would be, it's not what you know, it's who you know.

26 Jun 2026 13:39:27
Maloney never signed until very late in the day. FACT your going on as if it was sealed for weeks. Told you about McManus.

If you want to meet for a drink before any game. We can discuss the Troll part.

26 Jun 2026 16:45:18
McManus was part of the set up last season, that's nothing new at all.

22 Jun 2026 12:02:53
Edd, is there any concrete rumours out there about signing anyone, a think Sarachi is only thts mb close and probably still only a mb,1wk on pre season starting n still nothing, ano ul b sick of replying to it mate but a look at our site any spare minute a get ?.

{Ed007's Note - It's still very early in the window - teams/targets/priorities will change - but I've spent the last couple of days trying to find out as much as I can:

GK:- With Jari De Busser deciding to stay in Holland for family reasons it looks like it could be a straight choice between Dominik Livakovic or Angus Gunn as our No.1 or if we stay with Sinisalo, Callum Ward from Motherwell could come in as No.2.

Marcelo Saracchi:- The deal should be finalised this week with all parties eager to get it done.

Zinedin Smajlovic:- Reports of Celtic having an offer rejected appear to be wide of the mark, it never got to that stage as far as I know.

Oskar Wojcik:- Long term Celtic target and we might step up that interest depending on exits.

George Campbell:- He's been scouted and supposedly MON/Maloney like him but I don't know of there's been any actual contact with WBA or his agent.

Julian Araujo:- He is available but the only way I can see him being back at Celtic is if AJ leaves. Personally I'd go in with another cheeky loan but with an option/obligation for next summer.

Elijah Just:- Celtic have spoke to Motherwell and Just's agent but the player is concentrating on the WC and will weigh up his options after that.

Jakob Breum:- Go Ahead Eagles have confirmed they are ready to sell, valued at circa 4 million Euros, Celtic could steal a march on on any rivals for Breum's after failing in January.

Benjamin Tahirovic:- His agent is speaking to clubs, including Celtic & Porto - their manager knows Tahirovic from their time together at Ajax - but Brondby are hoping a good WC will push his fee up to circa €7m Euros from the €4.5 they previously told his agent.

Ivan Basic: Celtic will struggle to sign Basic if Eintracht Frankfurt decide to firm up their interest imo.

Felix Horn Myhre:- Hs said himself he expects to move this summer and it looks like a straight choice between Celtic and Brondby so far.

Cole Campbell:- The €7m fee is proving a stumbling block for interested teams, could Celtic try a cheeky loan with an option/obligation to buy?

Kasper Hogh:- Celtic, Norwich, Southampton, Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg have all spoken to Bodo/Glimt and Hogh's agent

Camilo Duran:- Celtic have spoken to Qarabag and his agent. Seemingly the player is keen on the move.

Lorent Tolaj:- There's plenty of interest in him, Celtic, TRIFC and half the English Championship for a start as well as clubs like Anderlecht & Lorient.

Elias Filet:- Celtic were interested but bizarrely he now looks set for a move to Belgian club RAAL La Louviere - nah me neither??‍♂️

Kieron Bowie:- Is looking for a move back to the UK, Celtic are interested but his agent seems keener than us. Reading between the lines he wants back to Scotland and Celtic are the only Club that can realistically afford him.

22 Jun 2026 19:57:13
A yes or a no wouldve done?that was an excellent reply mate thanks half of them i havnt heard of so can look them up now. ?.

{Ed007's Note - ???Right leave me alone for a few weeks now ?

22 Jun 2026 21:31:33
Not a great calibre of player there. Hogh, sarrachi and maybe the lad tahirovic the only ones excites me. Can't see this lot taking us to the next level in Europe.

{Ed007's Note - Well you know a Hell of a lot more about most of them than me but I'd agree we won't get into the latter stages of the CL next year regardless of who we sign.
Who would you be going for to take us to "the next level in Europe"?

22 Jun 2026 23:26:30
For the money we will spend this is the calibre of player we will likely be chasing. I agree ed we will not reach the latter stages of the CL regardless of who we sign but after the shambles of last season, especially Kairat, reaching the groupstage of the CL and finish within the top 24 would be a great achievement and very realistic if we properly prepare for it.
Some players i would like us to be enquiring about in and around 10m or less
Ousmane Diao (midtjylland)
Fredrik sjovold (bodo)
Elliott Stroud (mjallby)
Mattia Zanotti (lugano)
Sergio Arribas (almeria)
alvyn sanchez (young boys)
Toni Fruk (rijeka)
Diego Luna (salt lake)
Dario Osorio (midtjylland)
Jonas Wind (wolfsburg)
Kevin Denkey (cincinatti)

Thats a handful of players that should be within our budget that IMO anyway would improve us. Albeit a few of them would likely break our transfer record. And whether they would want to come is a different matter.

23 Jun 2026 08:12:32
Wee Scratchy's agent today said no contact at all yet.

23 Jun 2026 09:05:07
Great info, I’ve been trying to pry this out of you Ed.

{Ed007's Note - ???

23 Jun 2026 12:52:11
Some good names there DT. Been saying for a good few windows about Fruk and said he was a like for like for MoR before we signed Engles. We was interested in Sanchez a few windows ago when he was valued around £3m.

Looks a player and will likely cost £8-9m now. But I'd like both signed if we had any ambition and sold Hatate and Nygren.

23 Jun 2026 12:49:36
Ed have you heard anything about us submitting a bid for Smajlovic of €4.5m with a further €2m in add ons? Seems like a story that's recently been posted?

{Ed007's Note - I seen that on Twitter but I've no idea if it's true or not. What I put is what I was told over the weekend so they could well have put in a bid by now ??‍♂️

23 Jun 2026 20:13:38
Thanks Ed hopefully see some movement in the next week or so then and get a few in. Equally I'd like a few going the other way too to get the money rolling for the rebuild. One last time annoying you but have you heard of any clubs interested in taking Balikwisha off our hands? ?.

{Ed007's Note - There was some rumours of Royal Antwerp & F.C SV Zulte Waregem being interested but Balikwisha wants the chance to impress MON etc in preseason.}

24 Jun 2026 12:42:13
Fair play to the kid. He doesn't look suited on the wing and I believe his latest position before we signed him he was playing CAM. So worth another look I guess.

25 Jun 2026 13:49:45
We say ots early every window. But the same traits are evident again and that causes anger and the here we go again feeling. I have zero confidence we will improve our window performance. We have mealy mouthed, incompetent and supremely arrogant shi tebags in charge with no way of removing them, unless there is a mass return of season tickets, if the window is as bad as wee all fear.

That's our only hope of removing them.
Sometimes a personal sacrice is required to save the club. It may present itself within weeks.
