The boy Strelec just scored for Middelsbrough thanks Mr Nicholson NOT.
20 Sep 2025 07:07:54
And many more strikers will score today Tim it’s what they do haha.
20 Sep 2025 19:52:08
Hopefully Inheanacho does a Matt O’Riley when we got an upgrade from the Australian youngster.
19 Sep 2025 10:45:47
The HOOPS thrash Almaty
Sadly it was NOT our Hoops.
19 Sep 2025 12:56:55
I think their cup final was against us.
Had we signed wide players on time we would have beaten them but we didn't so we have to accept that.
They are going to struggle to get many points from their games but with the form we are currently in, maybe better we did not get through.
It will take time for our team to gel and start playing the fast pressure football we like, so hoping we can have a decent run in EL, if for nothing more than give the players a confidence boost.
19 Sep 2025 16:34:48
Hibs in their new hoops top would’ve beat them.
19 Sep 2025 16:44:11
It still leaves a bad taste that our manager and the players available couldn't beat them over two games plus ET.
It's also another harsh reminder of how Celtic regularly fail to prepare efficiently when qualifiers are involved.
I do appreciate our season is just underway and the transfer window is a distraction and often a hindrance; but if we even did some shrewd business in the January window, it might have helped. However, our Board have not learned from previous incompetence either.
19 Sep 2025 21:38:56
I place the blame firmly with the board for failing to bring in the players we needed before these matches.
20 Sep 2025 11:24:06
The thing that really pisses you off is how many times they have done the same thing.

Since May 2013 -
St. Mirren have failed to win a league match at Rugby Park in 12 visits.
But
During that period St. Mirren have played away to Kilmarnock in 2 cup ties and won both on penalties.
Kilmarnock V St. Mirren league cup tonight.
19 Sep 2025 12:04:12
Well I hope it changes tonight buzz as I've got St Mirren on my coupon.
20 Sep 2025 08:42:07
That’s now 15 visits without winning in 90 minutes since May 2013 but yet have won 3 penalty shutouts.
18 Sep 2025 20:40:20
Kairat are playing their CL match tonight with an 18 year old in goals and he's already saved a penalty.
Their sub keepers are 18 and 17 years old.
Their 1st choice keeper got injured at Celtic Park.
Their 2nd choice and hero against Celtic in the penalty shootout, was the Kazakhstan keeper in their recent World Cup Qualifier against Wales but he must also now be injured.
18 Sep 2025 21:40:08
That’s how 1/ 12 Odds On shots are meant to win.
18 Sep 2025 22:38:32
Your granny could save like that with the wind behind her?
19 Sep 2025 09:09:24
Sporting did what we should have did and pumped them.
18 Sep 2025 11:40:52
I have said this before
Why don't Partick Thistle take a leaf out of their Rugby neighbours at Scotstoun, the Warriors put in a temporary stand about 5 years ago, which has virtually paid for itself.
These temporary stands hold about 1000 people and cost a bit to install, but regular use of stand over a period will recoup the cost and more, plus eliminate that horrible big gap at Firhill and create better atmosphere.
18 Sep 2025 16:21:25
They can’t fill the 3 stands they already have at Firhill.
Maybe it could be an option if they get promoted to the Premiership again.
18 Sep 2025 22:39:38
Because the stadiums empty? That's just mental.
17 Sep 2025 09:19:33
Never been the biggest fan of James Forrest at the Celtic Blog, but his piece yesterday was one of his best. Essentially it was his take on BFKB and his meltdown on TV after the Killie game, but more interestingly was his take on why he is having more and more of such meltdowns. Hard to disagree with any of it.
17 Sep 2025 11:18:41
I’ve always liked James Forrest and his articles.
Sevco do try and cling on to Celtic as much as possible with the constant “Old Firm” tag and the best Derby in the World rubbish.
17 Sep 2025 18:00:50
And the “Celtic also linked” transfers, and the burning of scarfs and tops on social media, and the Tifos, and the name dropping us by former players about joe they used to beat us, and the banning of green boots, and the banning of our former players from their stadiums, and their songs, and their banning of our fans from their stadium. Etc. etc. their obsession with hating Celtic is possibly more compelling than their love for their own club. Their hierarchy know it, their cheerleaders know it, that’s why when results aren’t going their way they tend to fuel the hatred towards us.

By Yon Bonny Banks
When Russel Martin was asked why he took his players wild swimming in Loch Lomond, he replied
"people say I am out of my depth, so I just wanted my players to experience same feeling".
{Ed007's Note - I'm not a big fan of Jamie O'Hara but I was in stitches listening to this earlier...
?️ "If I was a player I'd be absolutely fuming..."
— Sky Sports Scotland (@ScotlandSky) September 16, 2025
?️ "If you're organising a team bonding session four or five games into a season, you've got serious problems..."
What does Jamie O'Hara think about Russell Martin taking the Rangers players wild swimming? pic.twitter.com/35olzJFL0n
16 Sep 2025 20:50:41
ha ha ED007 I do not think players would have appreciated it as Jamie said.
It has shades of Jock Wallace years ago getting them running up sand dunes at Gullane, I bet those players appreciated that lol
At least Wallace did it to improve fitness, what was the point of that today.
{Ed007's Note - ??
16 Sep 2025 22:59:03
I also had a chuckle at that earlier.
Next announcement will be a flu bug amongst their players.
17 Sep 2025 09:49:12
It was brilliant, not a fan either but he hit the nail on the head.
You want to gel your team, take them golfing, but wild swimming and a hill climb, RM is on another planet.
His best comment was, the fact it was a team building exercise after 5 games, says all that you need to know. They are a shambles, it's Raskin and team v RM
The DR are doing their very best to try and persuade the sevco owners to sack RM, the usual suspect Jackson now saying he has heard wheels are in motion, which means Baz has asked him to help take the legs of Martin and get him and the real Rangurs men back in the job.
We have board issues but they, as always, want to be the best, so their implosion is on another level.
They aim their hate at RM, Stewart and Cavanagh but the real owners are nowhere to be seen and they will never know who they are or e able challenge them at their annual shareholders meeting, because there won't be one.
The most embarrassing, self absorbed entitled fan base on the planet.
17 Sep 2025 20:24:44
Had to send an SOS to mitre as their balls have disappeared.
16 Sep 2025 14:12:44
If Dundee and Aberdeen win their next fixtures then Sevco could be bottom of the league before they play again.
16 Sep 2025 19:45:08
I will be getting a picture of that table and sending it far and wide ??.
16 Sep 2025 20:22:17
Would that be more embarrassing than losing to Stirling Albion who were bottom of our lowest professional league when they didn’t have a Manager because he was getting married that day? ?.
15 Sep 2025 12:40:03
That lot are apoplectic at the state of them All their Sumner fantasies about bringing in top players, richest club in Scotland back on top etc have been replaced with reality. Yesterday Mr Beaton rubbed salt into their wounds that has tipped many over the edge? The league table looks fecking ?.
15 Sep 2025 14:14:44
With the exception of Glasgow Derby games,
Celtic have only lost Once when John Beaton has been our referee in approximately 45 games against the other clubs over the last 12 years.
That defeat was at Tynecastle in August 2018 when Lafferty scored the only goal for Hearts.
Celtic played a weakened side for that match because it was in between CL Qualifiers.
Beaton has become our lucky charm after overseeing Celtic winning the Quadruple Treble on Penalties and then also winning the League cup against Sevco again on Penalties.
15 Sep 2025 17:37:03
I actually prefer beaton to don Robertson and thought he had a good game yesterday. I still call him cheating beaton mind you. ?.
15 Sep 2025 19:00:03
Celtic once had a brilliant record with Don Robertson until recently.
It took 6.5 years for Celtic to lose a match with Don Rob being our referee and that was the 2-0 defeat away to St. Mirren when there was a colour clash.
Celtic have since lost another 3 games under Robertson in the last couple of seasons.
16 Sep 2025 09:13:56
Sevco or to be precise, Union brats are demanding that Martin and Patrick Stewart are removed immediately as Martin is failing to maintain their high standards on the pitch (yes high standards) and Stewart because he brought him in and is solely responsible for the mess they are in.
Both positions are untenable.
They are planning a demonstration at hibs match.
No mention if they have the backing of all fan groups, unlike our fans who have come together.
They have no understanding that their new owners have no emotional attachment to the club, so the chances of being listened to are slim.
They are a business, they are businessmen, and they are cutting their losses, so will be hapoy.
Are their owner going to admit they got it wrong on RM and pay his 3 year contract in full to let him go.
Stewart was involved in getting their owners in the door and they want him gone for a 'real rangurs man'.
Even if Stewart walked they would not take in the old guard, these people want to move forward away from that type of club.
Huge hunplosion incoming.
