Sounds good Bestybhoy ?

Ajeti going to Strum Graz is key, if I had to guess I'd say McCarthy and Johnson are next to go.

Another superb window whatever happens in the next 24hrs, great work by Ange and Nicholson ?

Great performance apart from Sterfelt and Ienz. both looked nowhere near it. We need another CB. Heard the rumours about the Danish guy, watched his clips, nothing spectacular and he looks ungainly. Sead tonight looked the absolute dogs. But for me it’s always our defence that is suspect and it still is. Woeful at their goal. That for me could and probably will be our undoing in the CL. . Only CCV and Taylor looking good. Mid to front brilliant, but our defence just isn’t good enough, or anywhere near as good as it needs to be for me. Sterfelt is not the answer and Jenz tonight looked not much better. Sterfelt, Welsh and Jenz no better than back up. I hope we sign a CB tomorrow, it’s vital. We won’t but I pray we do.

I don’t at all. It will be enough domestically but in the CL. I can’t see it. Like s all I have endured pathetic defensive blunders in Europe and my fear is all the other great work will be undone by Ange not sorting it. One weak link is enough and we have three, with Barney looking also suspect at defending. I hope we get away with it but we won’t. Especially if Sterfelt plays. Jenz shocked me last night how poor he was. Why is it a Lord Lucan in that we have never in my life found a great defence, not even close. must be a spell on us because it defies probability.

Magic pole I get the sites about opinions buddy but I just don’t get the negativity. Celtic have conceded 2 goals in over 540 minutes of competitive football so far. Yea both have been against Ross County and a bit route oneish but not every team plays that way. They weren’t great goals but hopefully we learn from it. We’re always going to concede and someone will always have been able to stop it happening. But that’s football.

For the first time in a couple of decades we actually look really dangerous from our own set pieces too.

We’re in a great position. What a window it’s been. Most people have been crying out for a midfield enforcer and the Danish guy seems to fit the bill ideally. Not worried about him looking a bit gainly he’s a 6ft 4 enforcer. He’s hardly going to be dancing about the midfield like messi. His defensive stats look frighteningly good though but only time will tell.

We will always be tested much more in Europe and I agree the defense will be up against a different class of team and players. However, the progress and improvement we have made in such a short time must stand for something and these CL games will be a great challenge.

I personally think our players have a couple of gears yet and they will up their game in CL. I am not convinced we have had a better team front to back in a long time. We have to accept we will be tested more in Europe because the best players are not in Scotland but our front players will test the best teams. No matter what we did this summer there was always going to be some negativity. 9 players in what else can club do, they've given Ange what he's asked for. I for one am optimistic.

Magic pole starman cleared up tons I was at the game thought he did great he right in the thick of things.

He's not perfect but his defence imo is good he puts his head in there and gets stuck in.
He owned fletcher utd dame let's be honest fletcher not to bad.

jenz and the young argie were poor and have a long way to go before the could be regular starters, hope taylor stays healthy. rest of the team looked really good with a great attitude.

This CL Group should prove interesting.

Some might not agree but IMO, we have no right to expect wins against Madrid as they're on a different level to us in a multitude of ways.

We can though, I believe, compete with both Shaktar and Leipzig although every game at this level is tough and a learning curve.

I'm really hoping that Ange has learned the lessons of our defeats in Europe last season and given the new signings we've made, added to the players who've been here for the past 12 months gelling, we should be better placed than we were this time last year.

I have no doubt we will dominate domestically which in turn means we can get another cracking at the CL.

Let's enjoy the ride.
