So if Craig Gordon was offered a new deal and we are keeping Scott bain where does that leave any deal for foster? can't see us wanting three senior keepers.

Phliphlop

1.) 06 Jun 2020 10:42:48
We had 3 senior keepers last year.

Cammy Bell just released by Killie spotted at Johnstonebridge services heading north. who'd have him as back up.

1.) 31 Jan 2018 19:01:43
Scott Bain has joined Celtic.

2.) 31 Jan 2018 19:14:27
He's meant to be heading to hibs to replace Bain I heard.

3.) 31 Jan 2018 19:00:15
Dont need 2 tea ladies.

4.) 31 Jan 2018 19:28:26
Better off with Jimmy Bell.

5.) 31 Jan 2018 20:46:49
They're both decent keepers.

6.) 31 Jan 2018 20:57:32
Cammy bell in the hoops it's got a ring to it. Boom boom.

7.) 31 Jan 2018 21:55:05
Better off with Bell and Sebastian.

Resident stattos, I'm thinking Leon, did we cause direct action from their keeper straight from any of the 15corners we had? Other than that minor issue we got there in the end. Young Welsh looks decent and could turn defence into attack with his pace.

In dark times when signings are as uncertain as the next rangers tax bill it's not the hero you want it's the hero you need. Skinnybhoy/ hoopy88 it's time to come in from the cold.

1.) 28 Jan 2020 20:11:21
Lol, brilliant. Its been a dull window without his stories/ rumours.

2.) 28 Jan 2020 22:12:06
I hope he makes a comeback, life needs the colourful characters.

Whether it was true or not we definitely dodged a bullet with McKenna. Seriously poor player. Aberdeen will be lucky to make £2.5mill. unless crystal palace scouts are still on the meth that's leading them towards the £25 million el shuffulo.

Phliphlop

1.) 27 Oct 2019 15:40:48
Phil said on more than one occasion that McKenna is a donkey! Another jack hendry imo! The money that’s being quoted for this guy is scary! Bang average at best!

2.) 27 Oct 2019 17:31:51
He's a carthorse and to many in here were listening to the press big him up.

13 Oct 2019 10:42:58
In the grim light of another mind numbing international window what's folks thoughts on the league continuing while our elite athletes represent their country? rugby union seem to benefit from it and would make for an interesting need to use our squad depth and development players.

Phliphlop

1.) 13 Oct 2019 12:11:17
Does rugby union benefit? Or is it just the smaller teams with hardly any international players that benefit? In the autumn internationals or 6 nations Glasgow loose nearly there full squad and there results take a battering due to it.

2.) 13 Oct 2019 12:39:08
Maybe work for Celtic if our elite coach isn't involved. Let the youth coaches have a go 😋😋😋😋.

3.) 13 Oct 2019 14:13:31
Get your point but for me Scotland rugby is slightly different as there is a preference international players play in Scotland. With only two professional teams your going to have a big proportion away but Glasgow have still won the pro 12 and been runner up twice in the last 5years. For me it provides an opportunity and international windows aren't the size of 6nations.

4.) 14 Oct 2019 02:19:09
Compare our international call ups to Sevcos. Then imagine how many derby games during the international break we'd have to play. Randomly generated of course.

Any update on bains dislocated thumb fellas? changed days mind. Would have been a tape back on and get on with injury 5years ago.

Phliphlop

1.) 15 Sep 2019 10:31:22
Thought the same regarding the commentators when they mentioned squad management due to the number of games we have coming up😂😂😂 these players are thousands of pounds a week, could you imaginecthe hysteria if they had to work 5 days a week? and by work I mean graft! Jesus squad management give me a break😂😂 changed days indeed.

2.) 15 Sep 2019 11:28:49
The best keeper has the gloves what's the prob.

3.) 15 Sep 2019 13:05:54
I'm not to concerned about his injury he isn't good enough to be our number 1. Gordon is a better keeper and he's no that great either.

4.) 15 Sep 2019 13:10:24
Not a chance Gordon better then Bain. Maybe at his best he was but they days are long gone.

5.) 15 Sep 2019 15:38:23
Malky I've never understood the idea that football players would struggle to do a regular job as if working on a building site is somehow more strenuous than training and playing elite level football.

6.) 15 Sep 2019 16:34:25
Bain is probably the most overated keeper I've seen at celtic is a long time. Would rather have Gordon in goals.

7.) 15 Sep 2019 16:56:07
Bain hardly put a foot wrong since he got in the team at the beginning of the year. Miles better than gordon.

8.) 15 Sep 2019 16:57:22
Yeah footballers have a hard job Kevbhoy😩.

9.) 15 Sep 2019 17:58:09
Most goals bain conceded were mistakes. Gordon is average but I felt a lot more confident when he played.

10.) 15 Sep 2019 18:57:07
Forster is the no.1 I think but we have three very decent keepers now who will push each other for the spot. It's been a while since that was the case.

11.) 15 Sep 2019 20:44:53
Come on Malky, I didn't say it was hard but it's incredibly demanding physically. I doubt you could last 90 minutes playing for Celtic. I know I couldn't.

12.) 16 Sep 2019 23:07:57
Attitude is the problem by all account. Shipped out of Dundee and according to those in the know not all McCann’s fault at time, again from those I spoke to, wouldn’t want him back, mindset that he’s better than actually is.

The now departed Gordon was always far more capable of an error or outright ninja attack. Granted he could do pull of some serious stops but half the time contributed for the need for one in the first place. I'd doubt either or FF or JH would be coming here to be our second keeper.

Transfrmkt suggests contracts are up in next 6months. Ones 23 and the other 21. Not exactly youths and always seemed an odd acquisition really.
