Celtic being linked with an interest in Rapids 22 year old Dejan Ljubicic. Plays CDM but also been used as a CB too.

30 May 2020 22:24:08
Looks like Jonny Hayes has confirmed on his instagram that he's away.

1.) 31 May 2020 17:30:12
Honest player not good enough IMO. Will be remembered for his goal at Greyskull. I will remember him for jumping the Advertising board at Hamilton with the game at 1 each. Good luck to him.

14 May 2020 13:10:45
Hi Ed, You may have cleared this up previously but is there substance to the whole Ajer wanting his agent to get him a transfer away? Or is it the usual speculation from our top stars at this time of year?

{Ed007's Note - I don't know what Ajer's told his agent and everything's up in the air throughout football just now but there will be plenty of interest in Ajer when the transfer window does open and it'll be serious numbers that could definitely turn his head. As usual it'll come down to what the player wants to do.}

1.) 14 May 2020 14:46:55
Cheers Ed it just seems like one of them rumours that isn't going away. If the fee being mentioned for him is true I can't see the club refusing it during this current situation. I'd much rather we sell Ajer if it meant not cashing in on Eoauard for another season.

{Ed007's Note - Before all this lockdown stuff I'd have said it would have been extremely difficult to keep a hold of Ajer, McGregor and Edouard this summer but nobody knows what's going to happen in the coming months imo.}

2.) 14 May 2020 14:55:28
The football fans I knocked around with in Norway when I lived there reckoned it was pretty well understood that Ajer fancied a crack at the Premier League in Engerland. That was 8 months ago or so, right enough.

3.) 14 May 2020 15:36:41
If he wants to go, he wants to go. If his agent has been talking to interested clubs then I'm sure club will have a list of replacements. Any deal should be on the basis any interested club signs bolingoli as well lol.

4.) 14 May 2020 18:38:05
He has a bit to go yet before he makes it to the very top.

5.) 15 May 2020 01:43:53
Personally think his development stalled this year. If its big money being offered for him I say sell.

6.) 15 May 2020 17:55:37
Hopefully they can do the 10 before moving on. Three tough players to replace but the club should be looking at around £75m for them. Brown will likely be hanging up his boots too so the squad will need a total rebuild.

7.) 15 May 2020 17:57:25
Maybe he's realised that Bubs and that's why he's looking to move now while there's still big clubs interested in him. Definitely agree his best football was under Rodgers.

10 Jan 2020 23:19:27
The DR are linking us with Tel Aviv striker Yonatan Cohen. We apparently had scouts at Mondays game and he impressed scoring 2 goals.

1.) 11 Jan 2020 11:17:44
Think he plays mostly wide and maybe he's who lenny was talking about the other day.

2.) 11 Jan 2020 11:41:50
I'm more excited with his name than I am with Klimala purely because he can play wide and up front. Maybe won't need to get 2 strikers now as he can cover up front while giving competition to Elyounoussi too.

3.) 11 Jan 2020 14:43:34
His YouTube highlights might actually be better than Shved's 😍.

4.) 11 Jan 2020 15:41:57
We're in for a treat then keV.

5.) 11 Jan 2020 19:12:16
Although it's hard to judge some of these videos due to the calibre of the opposition, he's certainly good with both feet and could bring another option for deadball deliveries, something we have lacked since Griff was a regular in the first team or am I being unfair to the likes of Christie?

6.) 11 Jan 2020 19:36:32
You tube could me me look like a world beater.

7.) 11 Jan 2020 22:45:03
It couldn't do it for Amido Balde or Bayo tbf Kev.

8.) 11 Jan 2020 23:17:01
Like the treat we have been treated to From Shved so far.

13 Dec 2019 19:47:34
Sebastian Andersson of FC Union Berlin has been scouted as a potential transfer in January. Has scored 8 goals in 14 games this season in the Bundesliga.

1.) 14 Dec 2019 18:15:33
Thoughts on Sebastian Andersson Goals?

2.) 14 Dec 2019 20:17:00
Looks the part.

3.) 15 Dec 2019 09:24:23
Strong on and off the ball, knows how to get a header on target and in the net, leaps like a salmon, runs like a gazelle, the guy is the stuff of dreams. but then again so was Bayo.

4.) 15 Dec 2019 09:34:51
Looks dangerous could he be edouards replacement we need someone to push edouard not play second fiddle specially for 5 million.

5.) 15 Dec 2019 11:13:45
Do you think we can play 2 upfront?

6.) 15 Dec 2019 12:11:24
Being linked with another striker this morn.

Ntcham was our MOTM for me. Didn't do a lot wrong. Some solid performances there. Frimpong and Moi both had really good games too as well as Biton, Jullien and Ajer. Even in a friendly Neymar is still a classless wee rat.

1.) 21 Jul 2020 20:27:24
Frimpong your having a laugh he was shocking defensively.
Moi though good going forward at times was lazy tracking back leaving taylor ( who had a good game) up against 2 quite often.

2.) 21 Jul 2020 20:37:35
As most people know, that showed we need a new keeper prob a decent centre back with pace as well.
They are a ruthless team with loads of pace, We aren’t going to play anyone as good as that unless we get in the champions league. Christie’s touch got found out a bit today as well when he steps up to a high level.
I thought Taylor done ok but frimpong looked like he could play for them . Neymar is a great player but what a **** bag.

3.) 21 Jul 2020 21:19:58
For me wee frimpong will never be a defender in a million years. Get him up the park where he can do damage.

4.) 21 Jul 2020 22:15:43
You could hear Taylor giving the team a rocket as he was hung out a few times 🤣 Frimpong only young but he's better going forward than defending could always be back up RB if Elhamed is injured which is likely and back up Forrest too. No shame in losing to them Bain didn't help and the deflected cross and deflected shot was lucky too had ti be that walloped that got it. Even cupped his ear too 🙄.

5.) 21 Jul 2020 22:48:27
I think wee frimpong would be more dangerous and exciting to watch than paddy roberts.
Taylor looks like a different player. He looks much more confident as if he has gotten over the size of the club he is at.

6.) 21 Jul 2020 22:49:51
Friendly we learn and move on.

7.) 21 Jul 2020 23:29:40
He always puts in a shift and gives his all too Kev which is all you can ask for anyone that pulls on the hoops.

8.) 21 Jul 2020 23:31:33
Welshy there were some real positives over the 3 games but the thing we really should learn from tonight is that we need to find away to play ntcham week in week out.

9.) 22 Jul 2020 06:25:44
the thing with ntcham kev is tonight he played really well and got stuck in then other games he looks non interested. he could have been trying to put himself in the shop window with the match last night but other than that he had a great game.

10.) 22 Jul 2020 08:17:34
Frimpong is the only other second choice right back when elhamed does not play.
When frimpong went right wing and actually took on players that's here his talent lies. As a right back not good. But it's all we have in that position. Why was elhamed not on hope he's not injured.

11.) 22 Jul 2020 11:42:01
Bruised foot FG.
United that's nonsense. The guy has just got a laid back style. Same crap use to be said about Jarošík. When we went on the run after the break ntcham was one of the main reasons why. Lennon dropping him for the game against the mob was one of the reasons we lost that game.

12.) 22 Jul 2020 17:18:00
listen i think ntcham is a great player. he did not have a laid back style last night and that's what i expect from every time he pulls the hoops on don't pick and choose if you will be laid back or get stuck in.

19 Jul 2020 00:05:55
NL saying Mikey suffered another setback and may require surgery . We will need another LW in to compete with Moi.

1.) 19 Jul 2020 10:57:17
we needed one anyway micky not good enough.

2.) 19 Jul 2020 11:29:10
There's a player in there but can't be depended on too many niggling injuries. Needs bulking up and learning to pass a bit more.

3.) 19 Jul 2020 13:58:23
He isn't the type of body shape that will massively bulk up BT. If he does then he will need to change his full game as his game is a nippy wee winger. For me he is just another GMS.

17 Jul 2020 21:02:52
See Brentford had a £5m bid accepted for Toney. Would have been a good signing and not that expensive either. Selling Bayo and Rogic would probably have funded that.

1.) 17 Jul 2020 22:13:29
Think your over estimating how much we will get for they 2.

2.) 17 Jul 2020 22:46:37
Probably am but £2 for Bayo is better than nothing 🤣.

3.) 18 Jul 2020 14:11:21
bravetart, I know what you're saying and I'm as passionate about Celtic as you or anyone is but how many players have we spent £5m on? We've spent it, but not very often.

We bought Klimala in January as a lad ready to hit the road but it seems he was nowhere near the pace. We bought Soro as a lad ready to hit the road but it seems he was nowhere near the pace etc. etc. etc
We need to sign 1 or 2 decent lads instead of 5 or 6 'could bes'. This season is too important for experiments. HH.

4.) 18 Jul 2020 14:23:51
If Edouard is for the off next season then he would've been an able replacement. Might have been a risk as most transfers are but it be interesting to see if he can make the step up in the Championship. Agree I'd rather we got in 1 or 2 real quality that'll be first team ready and not keep chancing millions on endless projects that never make it.

New image uploaded to the
Celtic Player Sightings page entitled, Finally a decent photo of the new strip. Must say it's an absolute beauty

Not sure if anyones posted this already but stories breaking that we've agreed compensation for Gavin Strachan son of Grodon to replace Duff.

Hats off to the board if we get those over the line both look first team quality. Is the Ajeti deal definitely a loan with option to buy?

{Ed007's Note - There's nothing definite yet, West Ham would still rather sell so a late bid could scupper our move.}

Looks an upgrade on Rogic with age, pace and energy in his favour.

Cheers Ed I was just thinking along the lines of terms being agreed with said amount of wages only for the clubs not to agree a fee then it unsettling the player as he's been priced out of a move to a club offering him a substantial increase in wages.

{Ed007's Note - No doubt that happens.}

He's not even a regular starter for Hibs so why would we want him? 🤣.

I didn't know clubs could discuss personal terms woth players before agreeing a price for transfer.

{Ed007's Note - It's quite normal for clubs to talk with agents about their clients even before there's any concrete approach to the clubs.

The process should be along the lines of: Clubs will typically informally ask an agent (a) if the player is going to be available, and (b) would the player consider a move to the club. There may be some broad discussion on the sort of deal that would be offered but no more than that.
If the answer is yes, it is then necessary for the club to approach the player's club to ask if they would be willing to sell and if they would grant permission to speak to a player's agent formally about a transfer and possibly even the player about actually making a move. This will typically involve either broadly (through an offer) or actually agreeing a fee and responsibility for any significant costs (agents fees etc.).
Once this has happened the club will be able to speak to the player's agent and perhaps the player himself to look at the package that will be involved. Many players are looked at and discussed at a high-level with agents and clubs; a subset of those have an offer placed; a subset of those involve discussions with the player's club; a subset of those involve discussions over terms, and; a subset of those go ahead.

Agents will often try and get more specific details of wages and other financials before they should - but most clubs are happy to follow this process. Players will often talk to other players about moves but, whilst wrong, is tolerated as it would be impossible to manage.}

Ed would he qualify for a work permit as we've had our troubles with Perez and Gutman? Does his one international cap make it a lot easier for him to be granted a permit no clue to how all that works really?

{Ed007's Note - I think it would be easier for McKenzie to get a work permit through the exceptional talent route like we did with the likes of Wanyama.}

They are deluded and actually argue they played their full team. Their good players only came on late in the game whereas the first team played the full 90 against the Scottish champions. Only Marcelo and I think the other CB are considered 1st teamers that sevco played.

They're being linked with Nsame from Young Boys. He was a striker I'd hoped we would go for as Edouards replacement.

In a midfield three Ntcham has more nouse about him and can use his body to out muscle players, drives into space well and usually picks out the right pass. Christie for me is a little too clumsy in the tackle and less effective there. If we are playing with a CAM I prefer Christie as he's far more productive energetic and creative in terms of goals as a number 10. That's just my opinion and I'm sure people see it differently.

Probably our strongest 11 at the moment there LL. Ntcham for me over Christie in a middle 3 plus his form over pre season should make him a guaranteed starter for the first game. Hopefully Taylor is 100% fit after that trauma.
