Liam Scales was brought in as a left back having played most of his recent football there in Ireland. He got a short run in the team and looked good going forward scoring a couple of very timely goals too. His defensive naivety was shown up at times against better opposition but last season at Aberdeen seems to have improved that side of his game. Well worth a run at LB when CCV and Nawrowski or Phillips fit as our 2 CBs.
I thought O'Reilly was excellent yesterday too and interesting to hear Mulgrew saying on Sportscene, his positioning further forward helped free up space for CM who had his best game of the season so far. I don't think Abada or Maeda are wingers either. They both have qualities but more often than not their crossing is abysmal. Plenty positives from the game and I expect us to improve markedly as the season progresses.

Do you mean who or what position? If the latter, Goalie, Left Back, Defensive Midfield and Striker.
Just how bad does Taylor have to play to get dropped? BR needs to make his mind up, if he wants a defensive LB pick Scales, if attacking Bernabei. Taylor is neither, just a tidy wee player, well short of Celtic standard. I know Scales was iffy defensively when initially played for us but he seems to have improved that side of his game with a year at CB for the sheep. I doubt Armstrong would have tried the cheap shot against him?
