Talk of Turnbull not being suitable for a high pressing game, but sometimes you might have to accommodate or tweak systems for certain players. I know it's a different era, and not trying to compare both players, but I don't think Mcstay who is arguably our most accomplished and classiest midfielder ever, would work in a high press. And you ain't dropping the maestro. It's not all about pressing. It's a out end product, and turbull has it. It just needs BR to bring it out.

You don't drop mcstay but drop turnbull is that no offence to turnbull he couldn't lace mcstays boots.

Turnbull is a good player if he is given plenty time and space.
He puts me in mind of a game I had when I was a boy.
Kenny Dalglish or Kevin Keegan football, I can't remember which where players were fixed in position in kind of divets and you just had to try and pass the ball.
Turnbull would be outstanding in that scenario.

Turnballs thought process is not quick enough for me, he needs too much time on the ball to decide what he's doing, he hasn't got the ability to look about him and think ahead. He loses the ball in possession too much for me. He is a good player but not a hard pressing type and if we're going to progress in Europe we need to press and cannot against better players lose the ball in midfield. We will get punished.

I wouldn't bat an eyelid if Turnbull leaves. I just think that he is not good enough for us to progress, not even as a back up.
I think He thinks he is a better player than he is, as do a few or more fans.
Just my humble opinion.

Turnbull helped us a lot in Anges 1st season in charge when wee had a lot of injuries he stepped up to the mark, but am on the fence whether he is now good enough for us….

The biggest problem with a pressing game is when one or two don’t press you either press as a unit or don’t play the press.

McStay was a fantastic player and the type you could build a team around. Turnbull doesn't fall into that category.
