He's chipped in with some big goals and the assist against sevco. he's got pace to burn he finishes well when he doesn't need to think about it. maybe brendan can fine tune him a bit. good business for me.

Biggest surprise was finding out he's only 25 ? he looks older than Brenda!

You can never underestimate a player who works as hard as he does. I think he'll come on leaps and bounds under the new manager.

Didn't think it would be particularly controversial tbh. He can run and press all day, which is great, but he frequently wastes excellent crossing opportunities for his teammates and runs the ball straight out the park more than any Celtic player I've ever seen. Great athlete but certainly not a great footballer (yet) .

I prefer to enjoy Maeda for the pace and excitement he bring to the team rather than discuss, on the day he extends his contract the profit he makes for us . Maeda has unique skills that are very important to us, his tremendous pace running at and beyond defenders creates many openings, sometimes his speed is such that he catches his own team mates out and they are not in place for him.

Sorry that your baffled but anyone who has seen him surely knows he can't control, pass or cross the ball well. I'm not disputing that he can run all day and is quick but he is only effective with space in behind and when we play there is no space as teams sit so deep. He generally crosses it 20 yards over the attackers head or just runs it out of play, on a good day he just cuts back and passes it backwards.

I think he is a brilliant player to have in the team, the way he harasses the opposition when not in possession, and the way he frightens the opposition defence with his speed when in attack, I am happy with the extension to his contract, the way Kyogo and Maeda chased down opponents to try to win possession back was the thing that impressed me most on first seeing them play .,

Sorry I pushed the send button by accident he's far more than a trier. I watched almost every game last season like most of you. Maeda is a striker playing as a lwf for us. He plays as the main striker for Japan full international by the way. The guy has has tons of qualities that put him above the level of trier. We all know in the final Thurs it's lacking but the guy has pace to burn always tracks back always at the opposition derence he has scored some big goals for us and some good assists. Think he will go on under Brenda I for one am glad the last samurai is sticking around. Class player and a massive benefit to the team.

BR will definitely help improve him, Surrey improved Vardy improved, Forres improved. If he can improve Kyogo and Maieda opponents be afraid. they already are in SPFL so Europe hopefully too.

The people praising him are all talking about his fantastic workrate and pace nobody mentioning his technical ability for a good reason. I just think a Celtic player needs to have a lot more than that in his locker if we are to improve, especially in Europe. He lacks quality.

He minds me a lot of Agathe if he had a better ball what a player but honestly I'm glad he's signed up I think BR will turn him into a better player all round, it just seems the more time he has to think the end product isn't as good but believe this is good business with his best years ahead of him.
