Ed, do you know any details about the sell-on for Frimpong? 30% seems to be agreed by most but conflicting reports on whether that's % of overall fee or profit. Could pay for Bernardo or Idah all on its own if we're lucky.

{Ed007's Note - I've honestly never heard of any deal where the sell-on is of the overall fee, Kev. Look at it this way, if Frimpong was going into the last year or 6 months of his contract and was sold for £10 million - less than they paid for him - would BL have agreed to give is around a third of that, what if he had been a flop and they cut their losses and punted him after a year for say £6m, we'd be due a third of that?
I'm 100% certain it'll be 30% of the profit.}

I thought as much. I wouldn't be paying £12m for a player and giving away a third of his next fee on top of it.

{Ed007's Note - It took me a while to grasp.the common sense of it from a business point of view lol.}

I read he has a €40M clause in his contract which is about £35M.

£35M minus the £11.5M Leverkusen paid for him is £23.5M Profit.

30% of £23.5M Profit is about £7M.

I reckon Celtic will receive about £7M extra for Frimpong.

On Frimpong, various reports quoting between £35-£40M buy out clause in his current contract.

Like anything, if there are at least two clubs battling for his signature this fee could get even higher than that.

30% of the profit on that final figure represents a good chunk of change for Celtic.

☘️ ? ☘️.

Very rarely pay attention to football outside Celtic. How much is getting suggested Frimpong will go for?
