Mooy was brilliant ?. Very "Broony" type performance. He will come back with huge confidence.

Listened to the comm on the match - Danny Murphy, was waxing lyrical about Mooy - how good he was.

Yet he was doubted on this forum ?.

{Ed007's Note - One good game against Tunisia and now he's a world beater! ?‍♂️?‍♂️Mooy is average at best as we've seen in his Celtic performances - next people will be want to sign Harry Soutar ffs, maybe Jackson Irvine? 2 players we released.}

As much I do like mooy, he was playing a poor team.

Just look at the English made out 6.2 against Iran fs lol thought they where playing Brazil. Then the USA brought them back to reality, they are mozan biquee. Good players but no consistency.

Have not exactly been fan of mooy, but he does contribute. Always think he's a 2nd half sub when where in front to slow the game down to our tempo.

I have given Mooy stick for some performances, so am giving him praise for this game. It’s not personal, it’s business. Do the business get praise, don’t, get questioned. No free hits at us. Well none from me anyway.

No free hits from Ed that's for sure ??.

{Ed007's Note - I just don't see why we should celebrate one of our players - a player who has had a couple of decent games for us at most - playing one very good game for another team and against a team at the level of Tunisia.
Social media is full of "so where's all the Mooy doubters now?" and stuff like that, one good game against Tunisia doesn't hide the facts of how poor he has been in general since he arrived at Celtic.
Will Mooy's performance yesterday keep CalMac out of the team after the World Cup, will Ange need to rethink his starting 3 when everyone is available?}

I am with you on the Callum issue, it's Callum all day for me. As much as Mooy has done OK for us he slows play down to much for me. I'll pat him on the back when he plays well for his country but he has to do the business for Celric week in and out to get me criticising the doubters.

{Ed007's Note - ??

Mooy definitely hasn't been poor since coming in, bar the St mirren game, a little unexciting if anything. I think he's a great squad player and does a job.

{Ed007's Note - Yeah Mooy seamlessly slots into the fast pace & high energy game Ange is apparently wanting us to play.}

Ange knew what he was getting from Mooy when he signed him so I think ange knows exactly where Mooy fits in to type of game ange 'apparently' wants to play.

{Ed007's Note - Just like McCarthy and Ideguchi then. We brought in Oliver Abildgaard on loan with an option to buy and he's played 158 mins this season while Mooy - who anyone with at least one working eye can see is as slow as a week in jail - is continually picked and is continually effecting the performance of the team from what we've seen when McGregor is fit.}

Agree he is not the answer longterm but mooy has done more in 3 months than Mccarthy in 15. Paid for himself through being at world Cup and added the experience we needed post nir and Tom. Expect him to leave at end of season having made a decent contribution. If abilgaard gucci and Mccarthy were better they would be playing. 9 points clear all going to plan.

{Ed007's Note - Was the CL campaign part of this plan all is going to? Unless Ange is planning to keep playing O'Riley at CDM what he is doing with Mooy is pointless, we have struggled to break down teams with Mooy playing further forward because he is so slow in thought and with his feet and his almost Bronyesque backwards and sideways passing. When Mooy plays in that forward slot there is a serious imbalance in the team and he isn't good enough to play the CDM.
We're 9 points clear in spite of Mooy - and it should be 12 or was the St Mirren loss part of the plan - not because of anything he's done.}
