Is it just me? We are going for a new striker allegedly, which is good, but, as yet I haven't heard any moves for defenders that would ensure Ambrose is never required to play for us again. Boyata is still a problem too. We need a defence.

I think we need to look at a few areas and sincerely hope RD is thinking along the same lines (to a certain extent)? Gordon has had his purple patch and surely, was never a long term solution to replace Forster. The centre back pairing has to be addressed and settled asap He must realise by now, what limitations and liabilities we have assembled and who he can rely on (if any). Lustig is class but has fitness issues while Izzy is great going forward, but even young Tierney has shown he is better defensively. Janko can do a job - although Blacket has not impressed and can go back any time. Johansen is going through the motions and seems a shadow of the 'player of season' last term; Needs his bum kicked. Bitton and Brown are important influences, but like most of the squad, must work on distribution and ball retention. Forrest and GMS hardly make a decent winger between them and are far too inconsistent. (McGinn leaving was a big mistake)
I would persevere with GMS as I feel Forrest has had umpteen chances and still leaves me frustrated more times than not. Although I had my doubts, I have to say, Griffiths has been outstanding - but we have failed miserably in recruiting other quality strikers for a few seasons and need to add at least another quality striker - after releasing Stokes and Boerigter in the January window. Sounds a bit like a letter to Santa!?

Basically you are saying that RD has failed to build a decent team in the more than ample time a coach should be allocated, I have to agree.

Johansen is carrying a back injury not sure why we are not resting him to fix the problem. The board in my opinion has not backed RD in the market so I don't think you can fully blame RD for the team that is on the park TTS who would you have in RDs place? For me he is the man for the job just needs more backing from the board and the correct backing

Something's got to give within the club. MON, WGS and NL all left mainly because of budget constraints and lack of backing. Year on year being a Celtic supporter is becoming less and less enjoyable and it's getting a bit ridiculous. We've had a couple of decent performances against Ajax and Fenerbahce but apart from that it's been rotten. I honestly haven't even missed domestic football during this international break and that's probably the first time ever. Maybe next year if we get a few games with the Ibrox mob it will spice it up a bit hopefully.

The board have put zero into the team. Zero. They have to go.

Jungle Jim kicking a player trying to play through a back injury is hardly likely to improve performances. Modern managers regard bum kicking as last resort. Any manager coming to Celtic and expecting a decent transfer budget needs his head examined.

Have only just found out about Johansen's injury -although I think he has been playing poorly since the January window - Playing a player with a back injury is ridiculous for several reasons and is very counter productive to the team and player. Arse kicking worked for the likes of Big Jock through to Alex Ferguson and is a well known cure-all for slackers.

TTS how do u know that one season and three months is ample time for a manager who has been given the task of hanging the recruitment and tactics of a club. Some very successful managers have taken a lot longer .

If u are sure Deila has long enough I am sure you could supply names of they who could do better . I would be happy enough to change to someone who is almost certain to do better . But to change for change sake would be foolhardy .
