That's the Slovan Bratislava president urging us not to miss out on Sporar yet again. If there's so much interest from so many clubs why is he so desperate for us to put a bid in? It's not like Sporting Lisbon and Al Gharafa don't have plenty of cash to chuck about.

1.) 07 Jan 2020 17:24:04
I'm not sure if they're desperate for us to put a bid in mate he was maybe just saying he's surprised we haven't followed up after holding talks 2 weeks ago, it seems as if the guy is just mentioning teams so they can ask for a bigger price.

Got to be sceltic of the Slovakian league as bayo scored 18 goals before January last season but hasn't really done anything since he came here, but then again this guy sporar is scoring goals in the Europa league and seems far more accomplished.

Time will tell kev if we go for him but judging by our past transfer activity we will probably miss out on him and go down the loan route during the last week of the window.

2.) 07 Jan 2020 17:35:17
If what he says is true and we've held talks and then not followed it up two weeks later then to me that looks like he's probably not our first choice and that his club are trying to get us back interested by going on about all these teams chasing him so that we rush into a bid.

3.) 08 Jan 2020 01:54:00
100% mate, if we wanted him that badly after holding talks then I'm sure he would be close to being a celtic player by now but I reckon we've got a list of targets and are playing the waiting game before jumping straight in.

The situation with this Brazilian defender is very strange. He's trying to get his contract torn up over unpaid wages but the courts have said no. If he fails then he's valued anywhere from £3-5 million even though he's 23 and hasn't reached 70 professional games.

1.) 28 Dec 2019 12:45:08
I still get shivers down my spine when l think of the last CB we got from Brazil! Bad flashbacks! RAFAEL SCHEIDT worst ever.

2.) 28 Dec 2019 12:57:34
I keep thinking the same when I read about this guy Ter.

3.) 28 Dec 2019 13:39:25
It’s no for me lads! Brazilian centre backs and Scottish football are a recipe for disaster! Add all the baggage into it and I wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole!

4.) 28 Dec 2019 14:46:55
He was part of a Cruzeiro team that was relegated for the first time in their history.
There is now only 3 clubs in Brazilian football that have never been relegated.
I remember we played Cruzeiro in our Centenary match and beat them 4-2.
It was quite a dirty game for a friendly. I think they got a player sent off.

5.) 28 Dec 2019 15:53:31
It all seems a bit messy from the off. How is it we can even sign him? I thought players from Brazil had to be regular internationalists to get a work permit?

6.) 28 Dec 2019 17:21:24
Plenty of time jt couple of conmancaf cup games and call me Raphael he'll be over on the next boat to rock our world!

7.) 28 Dec 2019 21:07:26
He wouldn't get a work permit without an appeal. Most appeals go through tho.

8.) 29 Dec 2019 09:40:23
Ta kev 👍.

17 Dec 2019 21:55:32
We've been linked with Giannis Bouzoukis from Panathinaikos in the press today. Normally it's just a name drop but the report I saw mentioned that Nick Hammond is particularly keen on him. Who knows? Attacking midfielder so a replacement for Tam perhaps?

1.) 17 Dec 2019 22:10:16
Sooner Rogic goes the better to be honest. Good player on his day but his time is up, never reached his potential based on injuries. Scored some amazing and meaningful goals for us but at the same time I think we’re trying to get this clubs moving and challenging in Europe again going by the calibre of players we are actually looking at. We have the projects here and now, we’ll keep adding as new players come through. I think it’s time to start clearing the odd player here and there and replacing them. We have the depth available and the new facilities will help immensely with our youth set ups and indoor training for the winter. All massive bonuses moving forward but it’s about seeing this tough month through and getting to that winter break. Rest recuperate and come back for more with a couple new signings to bed in. My honest opinion is that Rogic and Ntcham might move on and Wanyama (dependant on Ntcham situation) will come in. A new striker and potentially another that can come in and play centre back.

2.) 17 Dec 2019 22:56:43
We need browns replacement in sharpish say what you want there is bargains to be had Jeremy frimpong 300 000 grand . Oh my days what a bargain to be honest the Nicky Hammond seems to be a real snip but time will tell i guess .

3.) 18 Dec 2019 06:58:12
Was frimpong not a develoment fee.

4.) 18 Dec 2019 12:18:17
Lenny is going to ship Sinky out and bring James Mc Clean in on loan for the rest of the season.

5.) 18 Dec 2019 13:15:36
Not entirely certain that McLean is any better than sinclair to be fair.

6.) 18 Dec 2019 13:42:47
Sinclair gave us three seasons of 60 goals and a few assists. Morgan and Johnston can only dream of this, Elyannouusi is only here temp.
James McLean will never match up to those stats either, so we really need to go after like-for-like as well as another striker.
Although we are two points clear at the moment, it's paramount that we continue winning and with added firepower - winning convincingly.

7.) 18 Dec 2019 13:44:49
Mcclean isn't good enough for us.

8.) 18 Dec 2019 14:50:21
Would love to bring Wanyama back but if it does happen it's likely to be a short term loan. We need to identify Brown's long term replacement. If that turns out to be McGregor then we need to get his in. Would be happy to see Rogic go but still feel Ntcham can offer something.

9.) 18 Dec 2019 17:13:50
Better off with lex McLean, older posters will know who he is.

10.) 18 Dec 2019 17:34:31
I reckon Browns replacement could be Christie. Brown played more advanced in his early days and RC has same appetite and engine and could easily follow browns path to midfield general. I think there is a better chance of holding on to him since he was from ICT and a bit of a late ish developer into our team. He can also put himself about.

15 Dec 2019 10:49:28
Ed, any news on when Elhamed might be back?

{Ed007's Note - He might be ready for Hearts on Wednesday but probably only for a place on the bench.}

1.) 15 Dec 2019 14:00:11
3-5-2 or 3-5-1-1?

02 Sep 2019 18:01:14
Reports that the Taylor fee is agreed. I'm quietly hopeful of one more as well after Lennon said he hoped to be busy today.

1.) 02 Sep 2019 18:14:55
I think Taylor and the young RB from Man City will be business done, unless PL pulls a rabbit out the hat but don't see it.

2.) 02 Sep 2019 18:08:47
No way Kevbhoy can’t see it.

3.) 02 Sep 2019 18:32:25
Does the rabbit have sell on value SW?

4.) 02 Sep 2019 18:36:13
Lawell has no need to pull a Rabbit out the hat now - after yesterday when he saw his three main buys contributing brilliantly in the game.
I would have loved big Vic on loan to toughen up the midfield and help Broony; however, if Ntcham is staying? He may not see the need to spend more of the KT cash - on top of all the other business.
Forster, Connell, El Hamed, Jullien, Boli, Afolabi, Elyounnoussi, Bauer and now Taylor is almost an entire team brought in, so I suppose we should not be greedy and we still have Shved as well.

I thought last night was a convincing performance even though the scoreline didn't reflect it. Griffiths and Rogic both looked good and McGregor controlled the play quite well. Eddy is going through a phase right now where he's trying too much whenever he gets the ball instead of being more ruthless like he was earlier in the season.

1.) 19 Jan 2020 09:30:16
I've said before that we usually expect to dominate the vast majority of domestic games and create plenty of chances; however I am very concerned about the lack of goals-to-chances ratio and we very rarely manage to exceed the two goal 'ceiling' we have hit so often.
Big Eddy is a great player, but his goals are becoming far too rare these days and hopefully the new additions will improve our end product - as goal difference may become a factor in the run-in?

2.) 19 Jan 2020 10:39:06
Big Eddy just needs to be a bit more greedy and take some chances and early he is guilty of either trying to walk it in the net or set someone else up when the chance is there like against Sevco.

12 Jan 2020 17:14:06
Patryk Klimala looks very likely which tbh is a bit underwhelming given his stats but he comes with a lot of high praise so I'll back him if he pulls on the hoops. This would maybe leave the door open for a short term deal for a more experienced striker as well.

1.) 12 Jan 2020 22:53:05
I know we can't go on YouTube clips but the boy does look very good with both feet and looks very quick.

04 Jan 2020 14:36:39
I heard the Snyde guys talking about the game in hand Rangers have got and that, if they get past Braga, they could need to wait until March before they can eventually play it. Obviously that means if we both keep winning they have the edge that they can overtake us but if we keep winning and they slip up just once, it means they could have a 2 month wait to play a game they must win to keep hold of our coat tails. So it works both ways and the fact things can change so quickly shows the doom, gloom and panic has been OTT and it's all very much still to play for.

29 Dec 2019 16:01:31
Today was rotten and they got the result they should have got in the cup final. A lot of fans got the more balanced formation they were looking for but unfortunately Forrest, Johnston and Christie were all way below par. Shoehorning Ntcham in hasn't been ideal at times but at least he never goes hiding against them. We need to take it on the chin and do some good business in January. We're potentially 1 point behind at worst so it's far from a disaster. Lennon can't justify Boli being our number one LB after that display though.

1.) 29 Dec 2019 16:48:52
Kevbhoy boli is no where near good enough but people on here before the game were saying he had to play. Taylor and Hayes are far better than him. Taylor must be thinking what have l got to do to get a game. I was one who hoped Christie and Johnstone played but l hold my hands up. Johnstone was poor and Forrest was shocking.

2.) 30 Dec 2019 01:04:44
Hayes is a honking option at LB but after today I'd rather have seen him chucked in than Boli. And that's me eating a bug old tray of humble pie.

24 Dec 2019 15:34:38
Merry Christmas to all you guys and a huge congratulations to everyone, Ed especially, for beating last year's donations total. It's a privilege to be able to play a small part in giving someone a special Christmas in a difficult time. Well done.

{Ed007's Note - Merry Christmas, Kev. And it's all you guys that dug deep & stepped up to absolutely smash last years total, I only collected it and passed it on, my wife and I are truly humbled by the response. Fr King also sends his gratitude and wishes you all a happy and Holy Christmas.
And again a special thanks to Bribhoy and Jaw188 who went above and beyond to help a young family 🙏

@Rich, I think Lennon's hand was forced to change formation before in that both his first choice wingers were out injured. The big surprise for me is that Taylor just doesn't seem to be able to get a run of games when Hayes has been consistently average. Griffiths starting makes sense because a cameos here and there aren't going to get him firing again.

Not that Cory, more the public back and forth with his club and agent. They were accusing his agent of stealing official documents and all sorts.

The carry on that's gone on with his agent and the club has me a bit dubious about this one. It would be good to have more CB cover though.

Is there a chart for how often he runs, passes or crosses the ball straight out the park?

Sorry mate don't agree with that at all. Power hits Frimpong quite hard on the side of his knee whereas Jozo's isn't even a tackle. It's a 50/ 50 that he wins miles ahead of Miller and Miller even has enough time to almost get completely out the way. If you look at it Jozo's bum/ hip is all that clips Miller's foot.

I don't have a major problem with Power's tackle but I also don't see how you think his and Jozo's are the same Kev.

Unfortunately our current manager is the manager who (allegedly) had a massive fallout with Kamberi so I'd imagine that would be a non-starter.

We've just played the second worst team in the Championship Tim. That doesn't really tie in with your SFA master plan.
