KT signs new 6 year deal. Brill.

1.) 30 Oct 2017 19:16:40
Great news

Get in Son . HH.

Reports suggesting Paddy Roberts sees us as his preferred option on the table. With his rep meeting with Citeh (I'd guess he isn't part of their plans this season) get something done Celtic! I'd even take another loan if that was to be it, his position was the no.1 target for me this window and I'd rather have him for a year than not at all. A permanent deal would be great however we'd want the buy-back clause to be worth several million profit, just to make sure we don't end up losing anything spent more than anything.

1.) 08 Aug 2017 12:06:30
I'd hope they'd make him a Celtic player properly now; If a loan, surely we want the right to buy.

Presumably, Roberts thinks he might make the grade at City in time, and I think we can all respect that.

2.) 08 Aug 2017 14:40:20
Hi ED, have you heard anything about this? thanks in advance.

{Ed007's Note - City want a permanent deal and it looks as if Paddy's only wanting a loan deal.}

3.) 08 Aug 2017 15:21:17
Oh fur **** sake paddy bhoy. get your self back up here.

4.) 08 Aug 2017 17:00:43
rumours are he is scared of all the mad ferrets in manchester.

26 Jun 2017 20:34:38
Anton Rodgers travelling to Austria with Celtic. Fair enough, it's not unusual for players to train with managers they know. But the Mirror saying he's in the squad to play. That's got to be brown bananas surely?

1.) 26 Jun 2017 20:53:58
I wouldn't be too chuffed if he actually got game time.

2.) 26 Jun 2017 22:41:38
Surely just to get the lad some fitness, can't see him having a chance to play!

3.) 27 Jun 2017 06:38:49
Calm down boys, young Anton has been offered training facilities while he finds a new club.

4.) 27 Jun 2017 18:11:04
Who's this Jim?

5.) 27 Jun 2017 18:13:43
He's on trial.

6.) 27 Jun 2017 18:14:15
Got to be a favour to his son to gain match fitness. Nothing more, nothing less.

7.) 27 Jun 2017 20:22:43
Obviously. We are biscuit tin stuff, but not that desperate.

26 Jun 2017 20:16:27
Chris Willock reported to be joining Benfica. I suspected signing Hayes might have put that to bed anyway as a back up to Sinclair. BR saying he expects a signing in the coming days though. Any punts Bond?

1.) 26 Jun 2017 21:30:36
He say that today JimTim?

2.) 27 Jun 2017 18:18:21
I was being a dafty LM. What were presented as quotes were actually quotes from a bogus website, not BR himself.

20 Jun 2017 11:13:19
A few sources in the Netherlands linking us with Joshua Brenet. A very good RB who can also play LB if needed. I don't think we're in immediate need of a RB but I'd have Brenet in over Gamboa (who is set to miss the start of the season? ) and in time I wouldn't be surprised to see him overtake Lustig due to his pace and the general longevity of the situation. Heard anything on this one Ed?

{Ed007's Note - No.}

1.) 20 Jun 2017 12:53:12
Dutch international and fits into our normal signing criteria age-wise. Seems a decent player and I don't think Gamboa's really convinced.

That wasn't just a victory for Celtic today. That was a victory for everything that is good and proper. The way in which they went about chopping us down and pulling us back at every chance, and the way in which they were almost encouraged to by the officials, is embarrassing. Quite how it was US that seen a red, I'll just leave it there actually. Let the football do the talking. To go there and win 12 v 10 shows why we're champs. And when they had the man advantage, and might actually have to play football, looked lost. Brown was immense. McGregor not far behind. Bain was an inspired selection. And Edouarde was a fantastic substitution by BR. Great goal for him by the way, he's got his critics on here, whereas I think he looks a cracking prospect and would gladly pay 7m. Moussa showed why he's actually worth the Dembele Dollars that weird wee Buffalo fella isn't. Three times I've watched Morelos play now. Not a very good finisher is he? Not a vintage performance, but a classic game and one which tastes pretty sweet. In the words of Ian Crocker, just keep your distance. 🖕.

1.) 11 Mar 2018 16:58:08
Spot on Jim. For his first start Bain was great as the pressure was immense. Broony was Broony. legend. Ntcham was excellent too. Edouarde. Pay the money and let the Bhoy start.

2.) 11 Mar 2018 22:04:51
Edouard's combination of power and panache is mouth watering VT. He can spray a pass too. As that boy starts to fine tune his game I think we'll have one hell of a player on our hands. Bain seemed incredibly calm in situations. That sort of figure will do the entire defence wonders.

Hi Ed. Hope all is well and good luck for the next couple of weeks.

Do you have anything to say about us and Chancel Mbemba or Ryan Kent? Yes, no, maybe? WTF you on about JT?

{Ed007's Note - Newcastle are looking to recoup their £8 or 9 million for Mbemba and turned down a loan request from Anderlecht. I'm sure Liverpool want Kent to go to an English side.
Sorry I've not been around much the last few days and posts are lying waiting for a while, my wee aunty's funeral is tomorrow and I've been busy with that.}

1.) 11 Jan 2018 09:36:56
Sorry to hear that Ed
All the best to your family.

2.) 11 Jan 2018 01:46:28
You've got nothing to apologise for there mate, thanks for the reply. My condolences to you and the family, and God bless.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks, JT.}

3.) 11 Jan 2018 02:04:06
Sorry to hear that ed, hope it goes as smoothly as possible. May she rest in peace.

{Ed007's Note - Thank you, Steph.}

4.) 11 Jan 2018 18:57:31
Condolences sir.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks buddy.}

Really looking forward to the game, will be good to see us play a competetive game against a side more our level. Some of the results have been a kick in the nuts but hopefully tonight, we don't self destruct and restore a bit of pride. Finishing third and reaching the Europa league will be a personal target of mine (along with a league and cup double) this season. Great news Dembele is fit.

C'mon you Bhoys in green!

26 Sep 2017 11:01:30
chris sutton wiped out by slide tackle.

1.) 26 Sep 2017 11:13:04
Brilliant challenge lol, Does anyone else think like me that BT sports coverage pisses all over SKY?, cancelled my sky last yr but kept bt sports.

2.) 26 Sep 2017 11:47:25
Bt is miles better and SPFL should be looking to cut sky out and just go with bt with the next contracted.

3.) 26 Sep 2017 12:22:12
I heard that was the plan in the long term Kev, the only plus for me about sky coverage is that it looks like hayley mcqueen has been handed the spl.

4.) 26 Sep 2017 13:07:47
I hate Sly with a passion after my ordeal in trying to cancel them a few years back. They connect you to the cancellations office (eventually) , where a telephone gangster pushes the hard sell with such lines as 'If you cancel, you may not be able to get Sky again' or 'If you cancel, you will have to pay all costs regarding your equipment, which was a good one when I told her I owned all my Sky boxes!
Getting back to their football coverage, we are nothing but a side show for them. Their 'pundits' are absolutely dire. Andy Walker is nothing but a bitter little man and that utter nugget Lovenkrands the other day was laughable. BT are streets ahead with their coverage. Their pundits (even fat Sally! ) give good analysis on the football and rarely pull any punches. The only thing that would make the whole thing perfect would be Iain Crocker commentating. I understand it's all about the money but surely BT could outbid Sly with securing the SPFL TV rights.

5.) 26 Sep 2017 13:28:18
I agree BT is better. They put a whole lot more into the build up and postmatch with the SP. With sky the SP just feels almost like an afterthought.

6.) 26 Sep 2017 13:40:44
Thanks by the way whichever Ed sorted that vid out. Do you just post the link of the address in the reply box?

{Ed007's Note - Yeah mate, if you post the link in (start with www. not http) we'll sort the rest out.}

7.) 26 Sep 2017 13:43:17
Everyone of their pundits are honest even if you don't agree with them. They all talk positively about our game unlike walker and co.
If they could add Michael Stewart to the panel it would be top notch for Scottish football.

8.) 26 Sep 2017 18:03:31
great tackle, was that pedro showing how he would have sorted Broonie?

19 Aug 2017 07:55:32
Think we'll see a wee bit roatation today, which is always exciting. What team would people like to see? I know Kouassi is out and not sure about Ajer or Rogic but I'd like to see something like

Ajer (Bitton if not fit)

Miller or Benyu?

1.) 19 Aug 2017 08:36:18
I think he will rest Jozo. Plastic pitch and dodgy knees don't go well together.

2.) 19 Aug 2017 09:08:01
De vries

Hazard. mcart. henderson. nesbitt. sinclair. benyu. aitcheson.

I'd rest jozo and lustig for reasons of gaelicbhoy and brown to see how ntcham plays that role himself. isn't hayes still out Jim Tim?

3.) 19 Aug 2017 09:46:45
Aye BR's already said that Jozo will only play one of the next 2 games on the plastic pitches. Don't think that teams too far away though, though I think Forrest and Sinclair will still start to ensure enough attacking threat.

The alternatives are a larger league, which I'm against; or playing each team four times, which I'm also against. It's a bit daft that a team can finish on more points than another, but still be below them. However, sometimes the devil you know and all that and I suppose it's different, and adds a bit of an edge.

He's a hell of a punt kev. Can you imagine if he had a couple of rusty games for us? Wouldn't do his confidence much good.

I didn't think so. Maybe that's what's causing the problems! In all seriousness it's just bad luck I'd say Bhoywonder. Gordon has had issues previously if it's the same knee, Roberts I think happened at Motherwell if I remember correctly, Armstrong had a hernia op and sad to say it but Rogic is just made of glass. LG looked like he did pull or tweak something but sh*t happens, not sure the surface can be blamed.

It's not actually installed is it? Did they not just put the underlay grid type thingy in and the rest gets done in the summer?

{Ed007's Note - You're right, JT. The gap between games from the end of season to CL qualifiers wasn't enough to do the full job so the bottom half got done last summer and work will start on the top layer immediately after our last home game this season.}

Why would we never though OaB? PL has said himself we could. And if we did sell Dembele, what would you say? 15, 20, 25 million? If we sold one striker for that much and still weren't prepared to spend 7 on a replacement it would stink something rotten.

He would be a good signing for me. Somebody suggested on here we just enquire about another loan season. I know PSG need to sell players but it could still be a possibility as I doubt 7m would be a tip of the iceberg. There's no harm in asking and it would give us another year to be extra sure about the idea of a permanent deal.
