This January transfer window is being compared to the January transfer window of 2009.

Celtic were going for 4 in a row and Scott McDonald had just scored the winner at Ibrox just after Christmas, to put Celtic 7 points clear at the top of the league.

Strachan wanted Steven Fletcher of Hibs and there conflicting stories but the bottom line was, our manager never got his man.

Celtic signed 3 players that January 2009.

Czech Republic player Milan Misun who never played a single match for Celtic.
Irish player Niall McGinn
Scottish Player Willo Flood.

A shambles of a transfer window, that came back to bite Celtic because we lost the league that season and then Rangers went on to win 3 in a row.

I can see the comparisons and hope we still have the squad to see us through to the finish - even allowing for ongoing injury problems. Deep down as the weeks passed, I think most of us realized there was not going to be any major signings this window.
My main worry is not who we did or didn't buy this month, it is why have we been so inconsistent and underwhelming for the last five.

Buzz this in my opinion is worse. To say this is dereliction of duty is an understatement. This entire year the board have constantly dropped the ball a bit like Joe Hart on occasions. The board haven't stood up and said something when they should have and they have sat back and said nothing as usual. I think we really have sorry not we they have jeopardised the title and a chance at the new champions league format. I hear people defending the board saying well they couldn't get the right quality in. I mean that's true when you are not willing to pay for I. This whole mentality of trying to find a diamond in the roughso the sell on fee makes the invested money is ridiculous. We think we are copying the Ajax model. We aren't they actually spend the money they make to reinvest in to the team. If anything we are modeling Ajax the toilet cleaning product. For the first time in a long time I find myself completely disillusioned with the club. I'll always support Celtic and the Supporters and the team but like many I'm finding it hard to support
the club at this point. At this point I feel myself hoping rather than believing for a good second half to the season. Sorry for the long post or spelling mistakes. HH.

This one is worse buzz as we have not even managed to identify a good striker this time. That being said, I can see the consequences being the same.

Idah could be the ideal buy . His reputation is such that he has alerted our negatives to get another rant against our recruitment team .
However we don’t know he may just be the striker that helps Kyogo and Oh to get the goals to win the SPL.
