Well done Ronny and the players one down two to go.I am not going over the top as it's only the league cup, but the importance to Ronny was huge.I was also a bit frustrated today and would like your thoughts.

I was a bit disappointed if I am honest.I did not think we played that well and Utd deserve a lot of credit for not buckling after the sending off.I also thought we were very lucky not to concede a penalty, if it had been the other way round we would have been screaming for it.

Seems a lot of Celts think Stokes had a 'great' game, I did not see it.I thought he was guilty of missed passes and some stupid decisions. Forrest has also earned praise, why? Johanssen did the spade work for his goal, held it brilliantly to tee him up, and made it an easy finish.I also thought he was very selfish at the penalty and showed he is not a team player.

Guidetti needs a goal. badly.Broony has had a week of it from the press. Why not let one of them take it? Would that not have been a great gesture in a all in it together way? Pretty bad form I thought. Having said that why are we playing Guidetti? It seems likely that he will be off at the season end so would it not make more sense to play Scepovic?

But a win is a win, more so in a cup final, so I suppose it might be churlish to mump too much, but I am not exactly over confident for the replay.Utd can play, and with Cifci back it will be even tougher midweek but we do have some momentum, surely this will drive us.

Pretty much agree with most of what you say. After the 2nd goal we seemed to slow a bit and made an awful lot of mistakes and bad decisions in the final third. I must admit I was pleased Forrest didn't let Guidetti take the penalty (until he took it) because I have no time for him.

Overall obviously pleased we won but wasn't too happy with the performance. Stokes was better than usual but come the summer I would hope him and forrest are moved on.

GJ I agree it is strange. Perhaps Ronny has decided to punt Scepovic, otherwise why not play him?. JG has never even hinted at staying with us so why play him?
The replay will be tough, I imagine United will roll their sleeves up for this one, expect them to be fired up with a stronger team.

I'm still undecided about penalty. Obviously if Griffiths or Commons were still on pitch, I don't think anyone would argue when I say one of the 2 would of hit penalty. As much as Guidetti wants away, I think he would of been the best chance of a goal.

I stand by what my opinion is of Forrest, simply not good enough. I counted 4 times he could of passed ball and decided to be greedy and go himself. Regardless if he scored today or not, he must be punted in the summer

Total agree GJ and DN, I would go further and not play gudietti or forest, the super Swede doesn't want to be here, and I don't rate forest at all.
Really pleased for Ronny, he's going to be a great manger like LENNON.
Hail Hail.

DaBhoyBhoy I'm the same opinion. I wouldn't play Guidetti for number of reasons. He wants away and after promising start he seems to have forgotten what a goal is.

Have to disagree I'm 1 of stokes biggest critics but credit where it's due he worked hard and had some lovely touches thought he had a great game and was just behind stefan for MOTM.

I don't agree with most fans opponion of Forrest. I agree with RD on this. I also believe he has talent and its injuries that have held him back. A lot of people have eaten humble pie in the case of the manager, if the work they are doing with him behind the scenes pays off and next season he puts his injury troubles behind him then I think a lot of fans could end up eating humble pie in respect of forrest. If he plays to his potential one side and GMS is on the other things could be pretty amazing next season. Markie

Markie my opinion about Forrest was made a few seasons ago in the cup game against Ross County and he has done nothing to change my mind or eat humble pie, now or in future.

He is not a team player, too greedy on ball and offers nothing to the team. However although he missed penalty today, with designated penalty takers off the field I think he had more right than anyone to take penalty as he earned it

Markie, would love some humble pie reguards forest, he's far to injury prone and it's not as if he hasn't had chances. He's reminds me of paddy mc court, skill to burn and great to watch but injury prone and a bit lazy.
Punt in the summer.

Usually agree with most off gj and dn30. Posts but I think if we look into it more like the coaches do, as in training, attitude, etc we'd possibly find that they are the tradesmen that look at players as the tools they work with and in looking at it this way, it doesn't matter if guidetti wants to stay or not, he use s him as best option for the job ( rightly or wrongly ) , personally I don't think there are many in our team just now that I would say we couldn't replace or do without, just to touch on the guidetti, scepovic situation, to me the swedes the better option even though he's went of the boil scoring wise he brings more to the general play of things than the boy who really didn't want to be here in the first place

Rubbish, it was not close to being a penalty. Celtic dominated from start to finish. Jackie played every man behind the ball

DN, I have to agree. Forest is greedy and while it is good to have a player with confidence he also has to know when to accept that someone else might be in a better position than he is. That's what makes a team player and I am afraid he is not one.

The argument about if forrest is good enough I won't argue as itsjust personel opinion, although the coaches and managers that see him in training every day all rate him highly. I definately agree his injury prone. Buti don't agree he's greedy. he's a winger whos job it is to beat players. he's not any more greedy than GMS in that respect. And in terms of being greedy he couldn't lace mcgreadys boots. Watch how ofter he squares the ball when he should compared to other wingers. he did it yesterday for yohanson. Markie

The problem with most posters, is they make up their minds about something and nothing will change that opinion .
Green Jhedi, through my green tinted glasses, it certainly wasn't a penalty .
The D U player put his arm across Brown's chest to push Brown off, Brown 's arm came out to steady himself and then he gave the D U player a bit of a shoulder, but the poor D U player near hurt himself in his dive to the floor .
If we played the game to the Orange tinted glasses, then I am sure that managers would have their players better trained in penalty protocol .
I must be different from others, as I go to the games to watch the game, appreciate what we do well and who plays well, and so many other things, about the least of my priorities would be counting the wrong decisions one of our players might make .
Anything to prove the dislike a poster may have.
