People have spoken on her about the likes of Ambrose for eg and his mistakes. Even CG has got it hard at times. But let's not shy away from it Izzy was utter disgraceful at their goal. WTF is he doing chasin a ball that's going out only to catch it and play it to a Utd player to put us straight under pressure again which resulted in a penalty. Not only that it puts himself right out of position. This has got to be somewhere in the region of 10-20 serious mistakes from him in important matches yet he gets away with it. If a school boy done that he would get pelters.

I agree 100% - his distribution is shocking, and I realy do not understand why he gets no major critics and guys like Ambrose do. .

How you can blame izzy is ridiculous. If he left it they had the throw in the same out come could have happened. It was simply sh$% refereeing

Emilio is perhaps my favourite Celt over the last 3 or 4 campaigns, but he has had 2 bad games lately, maybe 3. With Inter he was exposed and at fault. Today - well, my internet connection kicked out for the goal, but clearly, he's not at full fitness. Cut him some slack: we're lucky to have him.

PS @ Rayman: are you a former left back too?

How you can't blame him is even more ridiculous - he gave United the advantage, and as I said in previous posts his distribution is shocking.

@Toprig, yeah the same outcome could have happened just the same way superman could have flown down and scored for them. The ball is going out if it does then its a throw in where we regroup and everybody is were they are supposed to be. Instead of izzy off the pitch with other people havin to cover him. Also it got nothing to do with the ref it was a stupid challenge from Stokes though it wasnt a pen it defo looked like 1 at first glance and Stokes gave the ref a decision to make. All could have been easily avoided if Izzy had just put the ball in the stand. Why do we constantly need to blame the ref for our own deficiances. yeah he had a howler but he doesn't put the ball in the net we do.

i think that's right, stupid to play a ball not in the danger area for all his detractors, I thought Ambrose did ok
Biton a seriously improved player
Stokes is hopless, can't pass and missed a sitter, yet annoyed when substituted

def. need for a quality centre forward and two centre backs in the summer and a good left back

in second half, why were Celtic so pedestrian, no urgency or pace, ball moving too slow and predictably

Izzy made a mistake today, trying. To hook the ball up the field to set up a counter attack . If he had found Stokes who had the whole left hand side of the free to him, we might be talking about Izzy's wonderful clearance which could well have resulted in a brilliant counter act goal. Unlike what you watch in the Epl Celtic try to play acting football. Today the ball fell short to an UTD player who dived in the box and Thompson awarded a penalty. Somehow that is Izzy's fault .

Toprig, that's a ridiculous post, what izzi did was ridiculous, have you never seen fullbacks kicking the ball into touch, just to give the defence a bit of time, what izzi did was incredibly stupid, but it was a mistake and he's still one off my favourite players

I know and we all know Izzaguire is a dodgy defender, but somehow NL and now RD seem happy enough to play him there.
It is obvious his strengths are as a forward player and he has shown the skill and ability consistently going forward; but for some reason no manager yet has seen the obvious option was to play a 'real' left back behind him.

Rayman thank god I don't live in your half empty land . You would never get your half empty glass topped up or drained .
Try to look on the bright side of things just once .

I think some people are to use to see the conventional EPL safety first football.
And don't appreciate the risk taking and more open football that become natural to footballers from other countries .

Ok chris let's live in your land. Izzy is a wonderful player an outstanding defender is never at fault at goals conceded, and a move to Real Madrid can only beckon this summer. Either my medication is far too strong lol or I plain lying. How can you ever get a player to improve if his mistakes are not pointed out and rectified.
