Anyone else heard that we have asked for planning permission to increase capacity to 90,000.

it has to be lodged ( sorry ) with the relevant planning office, so it is open for everyone to see or object .

So would that mean re-development of the main stand?

it would have to mean more than just redeveloping the main stand even if they were to raise the main stand in line with the rest it was only taking it up to 75k does anyone know where you find the planning request?

In my humble opinion. ridiculous! Fantasy stuff. I think every one of us, to a man and ghirl would love to see the stadium 'levelled off' however in this economic environment I just can't see it. The main stand, if it were upgraded and integrated fully with the other three sides would look lovely and complete a magnificent arena. We can but dream!

{Ed007's Note - Realistically I think we'd struggle to fill it for most games and unless there's something afoot with moving to a new league I think you're spot on about it being a dream.}

Lower the ticket prices and a lot more people who can't afford it would go especially if we are providing entertaining but more importantly winning football. I agree it's only a dream but still a nice one. Can anyone photoshop a picture of what it may look like? .

I reckon we could go up to 70,000 at a big push. Personally I'd love to get rid of the 2 beams that restrict the view of the pitch.
