Mallythetally

1.) 03 Aug 2017 18:44:16
Mate that website that put up has us linked with every forward that's just about available. Click bait stuff but don't realise the stupidity until I click on it 🍀.

2.) 03 Aug 2017 18:53:56

3.) 03 Aug 2017 19:12:49

Worth a shout though Mally.

5.) 03 Aug 2017 19:50:18
He sounds like one of they grass pitches that Ed likes to smoke :-P.

{Ed007's Note - Oh that's heavy man! You've got some opinion of me btw :)

6.) 03 Aug 2017 20:58:32
thats his brother jamie bud, weris maweed ;)

7.) 03 Aug 2017 21:20:33
That's what you get Ed for saying a couldn't get the alternative to Welshyvision without paying someone :-P

No bad BW I kept lookin' at the name thinking it was one of they Yerda Sellsavon ones :-D (Y)

{Ed007's Note - I was amazed you got that working lol.}

8.) 03 Aug 2017 21:43:00

31 Jul 2017 12:28:05
Couple of rumoures bhoys maloney to celtic as under 20 coach and Bournemouths max gradel potential signing.

Mallythetally

1.) 31 Jul 2017 16:26:37
Would love gradle but is he not another who spends a lot of time on the treatment table? Also I recall a rather large transfer fee when he moved to Bournemouth?

2.) 31 Jul 2017 17:11:55
Gradel not even remotely good enough. Certainly no better than what's already at Celtic

Also . We have already signed an older winger.

3.) 01 Aug 2017 12:16:52
Gradel has had serious injury problems and there must be much better alternatives in the EPL youth or continental?

25 Jul 2017 21:58:17
Big virgil supposedly on way to Liverpool wee backhander for us.

Mallythetally

1.) 26 Jul 2017 00:39:27
VVD will sign for them, just a lot of posturing going on, plus the fee will be mental, all the better for the Hoops.

{Ed007's Note - I don't know mate, all this tapping up stuff might make a move to Liverpool impossible. Have a read through Ed001 and Ed002's comments on the Liverpool page over the last couple of weeks for clarification but I think Liverpool could be in trouble if it happens on top of the other charges and sanctions they face. It's been a problem at Liverpool for years that even Rodgers was involved in.}

2.) 26 Jul 2017 07:47:49
According to the bbc pages Conte still has a lot of money to spend and Virgil is a target, he has been left out of their squad for the pre season tour, which usually signifies the beginning of the end .

3.) 26 Jul 2017 08:33:24
Might find that Liverpool pay a bit extra to keep Southampton happy Ed007?

{Ed007's Note - I don't think it works like that, Kev since Southampton reported Liverpool and them apologising is admitting their guilt. Southampton will push the FA/PL to act if VVD forces a move to Liverpool.}

4.) 26 Jul 2017 11:39:01
It mentioned this morning that Liverpool won't be going in for him because of the tapping up thing but Chelsea and Man C are interested.

5.) 26 Jul 2017 12:18:49
I would put all the money we get for VVD and another £4m and buy Paddy.

6.) 26 Jul 2017 21:28:40
There is no way the board will buy or pay that, especially if we don't make group stage. Going on tonight we are absolute gash. brown total shite, canny pass tonight. Is this the same Celtic team.

25 Jul 2017 12:45:05
Marseille sporting director saying there's has been no fresh contact regarding moussa looks like more kite from sky.

Mallythetally

{Ed007's Note - Read what the story actually says mate. How can earlier in the month not be recent, wasn't last week earlier this month?
It's bollocks and I trust Ed002 implicitly over anything in the public domain.}

1.) 25 Jul 2017 13:25:28
So what exactly is Ed002's understanding of the situation? That Marseille would prefer to sign Bacca but aren't putting all their eggs in that basket in case Milan won't go for a loan-to-buy?

{Ed007's Note - That's about it, Kev. Nothing to do with Ed002 but I think Milan and Marseille will sort out a deal BUT would that then make Dembele a target for Milan?}

2.) 25 Jul 2017 14:10:22
Milan are looking at multiple options are they not ED? I'm sure Belloti is there No1 target, don't know if Milan will offer him First Team football or not? To be honest Milan are really on an Uprise, I think they will be a force in the next few seasons. Looks like a really well put together squad so far. All thanks to the money they have at there hands.

{Ed007's Note - I think it's Belloti and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who are their main targets but Torino are trying to get Belotti to sign a new deal and the PEA deal is proving to be a nightmare.}

3.) 25 Jul 2017 14:15:01
Ed he did mention earlier in the month was meaning about talks that were ment to have taken place on sat after sevco game.

{Ed007's Note -Oh right sorry, I didn't know that's what Sly had said. No there were no talks after the Football Cheats Friendly mate.}

4.) 25 Jul 2017 16:52:26
Cheers ed no worries.

{Ed007's Note - (yes)

5.) 25 Jul 2017 17:57:39
Aindoh . the boys not a striker if we throw in a kid I'd rather see a natural striker like aitcheson. i think big rogic could do a shift in there and give Armstrong the free role behind him.

6.) 25 Jul 2017 18:52:24
With injuries we have I think team will be .
Gordon
Lustig simm Bitton Tierney

Brown. Armstrong

Forrest. Mitchum Sinclair

Rogic.

7.) 25 Jul 2017 19:52:22
Al go with this
Gordon
Lustig sumo ajer kieran
Broony armstrong/ ntcham
Forrest rogic hayes/ benyu
Sinclair.

8.) 25 Jul 2017 20:56:29

Gordon
Lustig sumo kieran
Broony

Forget the the scoeline bhoys my god how many chances did we miss well done celtic HH.

18 Aug 2017 08:40:27
Some interesting stats the hoops have now hone 8hrs and 52 mins without losing a hoal in europe and if they keep a clean sheet on tues they'll hold the scottish record also it will be there 340th euro tie another record along with their 529 goals 65 ahead of sevco . right am away to get the anarak off.

Mallythetally

1.) 18 Aug 2017 09:49:42
I thought it would have been 528 ahead of sevco?

2.) 18 Aug 2017 10:51:42
I see Armstrong competing with McGregor and Rogic, not the defensive midfielders? Wonder if Henderson has a future.

{Ed007's Note - Why would he be competing with them up front when his best football was played beside Brown in the 2 as a box to box midfielder or LM of a midfield 3? People go on about Armstrong playing as a No.10 but when has he played there. At Dundee Utd he played mostly on the left as well.}

3.) 18 Aug 2017 11:31:05
He's not a number 10. If he was here long term he'd be browns replacement but can't see that now.

4.) 18 Aug 2017 12:01:45
armstrong can't seem to win eitber way here judging by some comments . the boys signed up until 2019 that should draw a line under it for now . let's get behind the boy because i think he's going to be the perfect foil for ntcham i reckon these are two players on the same wave length ntcham makes passes most off our players can't see coming but for me armstrongs the one who could benefit playing in a mid 3.

5.) 18 Aug 2017 12:43:05
His comments are very positive and we now have a very strong midfield that we can chop and change.

17 Aug 2017 09:19:25
Great atmosphere last night with GB at the heart of it welcome back bhoys.

Mallythetally

16 Aug 2017 09:46:46
Well that was a load of smoke and mirrors total anti clinax hope for the boards sake we qualify or there will be questions asked about a major lack of ambition but vesudes that a think we'll qualify . but it could have been so much easier tho.

Mallythetally

1.) 16 Aug 2017 11:35:57
I can't get ma head round people complaining about the situation that has been made clear for yrs tho mally, even rodgers has came out and said that itll be this team that gets us through bud, im happy waiting to after qualification if it means a better quality addition, although as Ed touched on previously i wouldn't be happy if that was the only reason they were coming.

2.) 16 Aug 2017 12:26:33
There is zero lure in Scottish football so we have to use CL as our main bargaining tool - however because of the crap state of afore mentioned Scottish football we are always faced with three untimely qualifiers bang smack in the middle of a transfer window geared for maximum effect and benefit to players looking to make the best deals.
Therefore, no matter how much we criticise the board - and they have deserved in on many occasions - it must be extremely difficult to reach satisfactory transfer targets while these bloody windows hamper quick business.

{Ed007's Note - Sinclair, Dembele, Ntcham and Simunovic - plus many others - were all signed before CL qualification was over, so when was the last time we made a big signing after CL qualification was assured?
If you think the board are going to splash serious money if we qualify for the CL you're building yourself up for a major disappointment, it hasn't happened in the past so I don't see it happening this year either.}

3.) 16 Aug 2017 12:37:08
Anno mate but they talk about doing business early and here we are struggling for strikers where just one more addition would make life easier if grff pulls up tonight god forbid what have we got. qualify and the money's there its a head scratcher just don't get it.

4.) 16 Aug 2017 14:17:08
Once a bhoy. the windows are a constant we know when they start and finish . so the board have no excuses for not getting business done.

5.) 16 Aug 2017 14:20:52
I'm not defending the board one bit as they have sat on CL money in the past and will do so again, but I do think our league and the timing of the window makes it easy for players and 'selling' clubs to take their time.

6.) 16 Aug 2017 15:02:13
Worst case scenario we go out tonight we go into EL groups estimated 6 to 8 mill to be made we sold 53.000 st we shipped out the door over 20 players/ wages we took in 1.3 mill allegedly for emillio and potentially 5 to 6 mill if vvd moves i think a wee bit more could have been done unless his targets are just mot available.

{Ed007's Note - And if we go down to the EL will questions be asked of the manager?}

7.) 16 Aug 2017 15:02:50
The Board and BR will be on a huge bonus if we qualify and it's probably a lot more than the players bonuses. Hopefully 2or 3 quality additions are added if we go through.3or4 nil tonight as feeling optimistic!

8.) 16 Aug 2017 15:51:13
Ed anno where your coming from but think the questions will go to the board about backing him just now could paddy have been brought in now peter talks of spending 6 mill but it never happens.

{Ed007's Note - Ah right, it'll be the board's fault then. How have the board not backed him, because they haven't spent enough money for YOU? They bought Ntcham and his blue eyed boy Hayes, we brought in Benyu, did Rodgers not want them?
It was Rodgers in the papers talking about getting players in and settled for qualifiers, players that would improve us on the European stage - then started a team in Rosenborg with one new signing playing and that was only because of injuries - it was Rodgers that said Bitton could cover CB then went back on that saying he was maybe looking at a CB, it was Rodgers that said we didn't need a 3rd choice striker and played Forrest up front. If he had went to the board to sign players I'm sure the board and Lee Congerton would have done their best for him, just like they have done all along.
If Roberts could have been brought in he would have been, Man City and Roberts have a say in that too.
If we fail to qualify from this tie the blame will lie firmly at the manager's door. The squad will have regressed under him and that'll be through his decisions which he will stand or fall. The Ntcham deal will have cost more than £6 million when you take into account all the costs involved.}

9.) 16 Aug 2017 16:11:08
if the worst happens - then the target will be the board for apparently not backing the manager. However, BR has still managed to add and get rid of players in the close-season, although Hayes has been disappointing and Christie may have offered other options in attack? However it will be his team and tactics, that fans will judge over the two legs.

{Ed007's Note - How have the board apparently not backed Rodgers? There's absolutely zero proof of this.}

10.) 16 Aug 2017 16:14:19
Same p*sh different window really. Thankfully there are a lot of players already here that have more to come.

{Ed007's Note - And now it's time for them to step up, JT.}

11.) 16 Aug 2017 16:38:38
Hail Hail to that Ed, it could be a blessing in disguise (remember people wanting us to sign a LB before KT got his chance. It could be even be the plan to use the plethora of promising young players we have, something we've harped on for long enough. That said, one or two bits of proven quality wouldn't have been too much to ask would it. Time yet I suppose. 😧.

{Ed007's Note - The way people are going on you'd think we're playing Real Madrid tonight.}

12.) 16 Aug 2017 17:05:28
I'm confident we'll do the business over two legs. I think that alone speaks volumes about where we've come from. I remember the days of O'Neil where I wouldn't even bat an eye at the CL qualifying opponents. I feel pretty close to that now.

13.) 16 Aug 2017 17:54:45
Ed doesn't matter what the board do some people will still not give them any
Is it not the board that has led up to this dominant position in Scottish football?
Is the clubs success on and on the field nothing to do with them?

{Ed007's Note - No, Kev that's down to the Green Brigade ;)

14.) 16 Aug 2017 18:02:03
Spot on Ed. I have upmost respect fir whst BR has done but it was obvious we needed another striker and still do. If Ajar is not plsying centre back we need another. We will have over 60 games this season. BR would, like Ed says have been backed. I think he called this one wrong. We have not improved the aquad this window so far. Dembele out. Boyota out. Sinclair not doing it with no replacement. Griff semi fit. No Roberts. Bitton at Centre back? So apart from Ntcham what have we added in quality? We should still have enough against Astana but that squad needs some quality injected and not Hayes like players.

15.) 16 Aug 2017 18:06:06
We crow about how the mobs club is a shambles and how well run ours is.
But as the same time the people who are running the club get pelters.
Our club is one of the best run in the world.
That is because of the board.

12 Aug 2017 07:50:42
Brendan now saying a striker could be signed for wed as wee griffs calf playing up again think this is a necessity. and we're being linked with an African defender as well.

Mallythetally

1.) 12 Aug 2017 08:15:21
What's BR playing at he should have just paid the £2 million and signed waghorn before Ipswich did. He would have scored the goals for us.

2.) 12 Aug 2017 09:01:02
Thought hed went for more than that.

3.) 12 Aug 2017 09:54:19
I would imagine we are flying out on Monday at the latest so not leaving ourselves much time to finalise a deal for a striker.

Why do we constantly do this? Why not buy from a position of strength rather than flapping at the last minute.

It's not like Griff and MD played every single game last season. Both missed lots of games (some at the same time) so was Brendan expecting the miracle that they would both stay fit all season?

4.) 12 Aug 2017 11:07:52
Flying out where? Games at Parkhead mate.

5.) 12 Aug 2017 11:16:48
Yern

My bad, maybe just hoping we were away first!

Wildcard rules are we can sign someone up to 24 hours before the game so still tight to get someone signed up and registered by Tuesday night.

6.) 12 Aug 2017 12:49:36
Is Griff definitely struggling for Astana Mally? That is a worry. I don't think any of us are convinced with Forrest up front.

I am less convinced with Bitton at central defence. I always thought he was rash in the tackle (before Jamesbhoy jumps in, I know you can get ointment for that sort of thing! ) . He hasa tendency to give away a lot of frees and pick up silly bookings for lunging in. Not a good habit to have, especially if he is the last man. Didn't see the game last night because of work but I heard Packie Bonner saying he may have been lucky not to have given away a penalty?

7.) 12 Aug 2017 13:49:48
No worries bud, I also had hoped for the away tie first.

I won't hold my breath for any signings I'm time for the game but then again am almost always wrong with my predictions ha ha.

8.) 12 Aug 2017 14:19:02
It was brendan that said griff was feeling his calf tight abhfjb and has now conceded a third striker might be a good idea as the forrest rogic experiment hasn't worked . Still think big clubs should have 3 quality strikers and its up to them to keep the jersey ir your left with the predicament we're in now.

9.) 12 Aug 2017 14:29:24
Am never confident when Nir takes that extra touch because when the opposing striker gets alongside he is not strong enough to hold him off and that was a classical example of that last night

If he is going to play there he is going to need to build upper strength or get rid of the ball quicker IMO.

10.) 12 Aug 2017 21:51:10
I am sure if you. Can see that flaw in Nir's game, Brendan is likely to see it too and will do something to correct it . We are quite lucky that, that is Nir's big fault as most players we have, have many faults.
