What i've heard is Steven Gerrard's agent has asked Celtic if they would be interested in Stevie G for next season, during the MLS closed season. Gerrard will not be joining another EPL club as he doesn't want to play against Liverpool. His agent has put feelers out to just a few clubs and Celtic are high on that list.

heard where? from voices in your head lol

why wld we want him n who drops out?

our midfield is strongest area with high pressing, instant winning back of possession etc.

he's unable to play like that thus the invented "quarter back" role that was created / named to essentially mean on a downward spiral.
no thx

I won't for a second belittle Gerrard but if his agent is dipping his toe I don't see the board biting. Through his connection with liverpool he stayed in or around the first 11 well past the point of his use. His loyalty was dutifully repaid and some by HIS club even when he should of been moved on for a side wanting to crack the top 4 when he lost pace and struggled with form. I want to cut my own fingers off for saying he was more of a mascot near the end to lift the fans and side with his presence. Full credit to him if that is the right phrase for hanging up his boots mid season because he knew he didn't have enough to offer. Merchandise v club credibility could be a decision if that, but in all honesty why bother? Keane flew in and out of glasgow to train, wasnt committed (down to one typing finger now) never made a positive impact. Gerrard for talking sake may fancy a 4hr drive instead of a transatlantic flight to be close to his family. If there is such a thing in the celtic wage structure for ageing out of form highly paid midfielders with infrequent starts and apps then sorry lads enough of you pushed for it and now commons has it! (fingers gone and I've had the keyboard broken over my petulant skull. )
If Galaxy are paying for his glesgy outing and he wants to come as a professional, be close to his family, use our facilities, work with our youth and do a wee half hour now and again if needed then why not mon aboard but short of that then sorry pal.

{Ed007's Note - I thought our days of topping up player's pensions was over? If Gerrard can't get in the Liverpool team he damn sure can't get in the CFC team.}

Between the lines of my post ed I agree. If he wants to “train” and is pre paid why not? Trying to be diplomatic ;-) . God only and only yourself know the post euro/ enthusiastic nocturnal brain farts that leave this laptop (and thankfully never see the light of day) ;)

{Ed007's Note - We'll chalk it up to a brain fart then!}

I'm hearing the Sunday people carried this story yesterday. so it wasn't brain fart or voices in my head. this site has now come down to belittling people. Where it used to be about asking people to post any rumours they hear. Sad really.

{Ed007's Note - That's nothing to really brag about, I'd believe you rather than The People, they probably got the story from your post!}

I suppose Kenny Dalglish saw it on here also.

{Ed007's Note - Don't be so silly, Kenny Dalglish can't read. So you're saying Dalglish has said Gerrard will sign on loan for CFC?}

I don't understand your sarcasm directed towards me. I've done nothing towards you that merits this.

For the benefit of other readers and those with an interest. Dalglish states Celtic would be a very good move for Gerrard.

{Ed007's Note - LMFAO! So because Dalglish said that it must be happening, is that what you're saying, otherwise why even mention Dalglish? I really can't see where Dalglish fits into this story so you'll need to enlighten me.}
