Celtic are being linked with Darren Randolph as a replacement for Zaluska. Zaluskas contract is due to expire and he is wanting more first team games

Randolph ain't a bad keeper at all.
Like many others I'm sure, I have always thought Zaluska ws very average, apart from the time he was with Dundee Utd. because he looked OK back then. Probably the reason we signed him in the first place.

How do we know he is wanting more first team games?

Initially I thought your comment was silly because surely all players want first team football.
Then I remembered that Zaluskas been with us for quite a while and has seemed quite happy to play second fiddle at a big club instead of first choice at a small one.
I think he's at that age now where long term financial security might be more important than on the field achievement.

His contract hasn't been mentioned to be renewed I'm sure I read it runs out in the summer Ed do you know when? Randolph has been good in the SPL not sure what Birmingham would want for him Zaluska is okay but he hadn't been playing football for long before we signed him he was a rookie really and he's been pretty much a bench warmer I would prefer we spent our money on areas we need and not waste it getting a keeper in when we have 2 okay keepers on the books and a decent young keeper as backup

{Ed007's Note - Zaluska's contract is up in the summer.}

Chrisbhoy, Strange as it may seem there appears to be quite a number of goalkeepers like Zaluskas who are prepared to sit on the bench . I think that no Scottish Premiership team and only teams below the Championship in England would sign him as first choice as he has set on our bench so long . Zaluskas will be taking a big cut in wages no matter where he goes, in my opinion .
