I'd say going by Lennon's interview last night Griffiths is still going to be a major player this season, which is why he was so angry with him. We can only hope that he uses the harsh words as motivation and hits the sort of form he was in at the end of last season. BR tried it before and didn't get the reaction but it really must be last chance saloon now. I think binning him would be too much of an upheaval heading into such a massive season which might just have saved his bacon.

For me he has blown it.
Its criminal to come back in what is clearly an unacceptable state that the club requires you to be in.
You can add a new striker to the transfer list along with 2 keepers, 2 chs, a lb and a rw.
There can be no passengers, no distractions.
The club has one shot this year.
I know some fans are more European driven but we can't pass up this chance for 10.
It could take him a few months to get up to speed missing big games.
Total unacceptable given the backing to has received.

For me even if he does make it back in to team this is the beginning of the end for Griffiths. His time is almost up.

There's only 1 person that can fix this situation Griffiths himself if he buckles down and gets himself fit over the next 6 weeks. Lennon will give him a chance. We all know what he can do. Has Leigh got the appetite?

My opinion is if we bring in another striker such as Weissman then Griff is gone.

{Ed007's Note - If his physical condition is so bad though who's going to buy him? Leeds have been sniffing about for a while but now they're in the Pub League I doubt even a fit LG would be up to that standard.
If LG doesn't sort himself out pdq then it's going to be a big downward spiral for him.}

I personally think Klimala is going to grab every chance he gets this season and make things difficult for Griffiths. He looks as if he has used lockdown to train hard and push for starting 11 place.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

My thought is he'll end up at hibs on loan come the end of the window.

Shame, his goals have been huge in the quest for 10 in a row.

Going by the pictures of him he shouldn't need too long to get up to speed. Like I said, I think the need to avoid big dramas and keep a positive feeling around the club will have saved him. Although I wouldn't be against replacing him if we were willing to go for proven quality.

looking slim in pictures we see are deceiving KB. With the proper measuring and testing that is in place griffiths hasn't hit any targets seemingly. They were being monitored at home and he's been well off everyone else's reading.
If he was only a little bit away then there is no chance lennon would have came out and eviscerated him like he did last night.

He's only got 22 months left on his deal by then he'll be pushing 32 so if he doesn't knuckle down he'll no be earning a new deal and the club would likely want to cash in on him than lose him for free.
