Does anyone know if the Saudis paid for Jota up front? If they're releasing him they would have to pay up what they owe or could we come to an agreement where we wave the rest of it and get his registration back?

I would imagine the money was paid up front because it’s only change to the Saudi’s.
But then again you wouldn’t think Celtic had that kind of money sitting in the bank with all these project signings.

{Ed007's Note - I'll need to check with Ed002, Buzz but I would think that even if the fee was being paid in instalments they would need to be paid in full just like if you sell a player while owing transfer instalments you need to pay them off when you sell the player. I don't really see any difference in the Jota situation.}

If that is the case and they still owe us money, it would be the deal of the century if we resigned him on a free. It would be negligent on Celtic's part to not ask the question.
