There is no anterior motive here. Every goal is to be checked by VAR. think you need to take a wee step back from the paranoia mate.

We know every goal gets checked, but not every goal has a delay that's my point.

LOL everybody knows every goal gets checked. the issue is the length of time for clearly okay goals. The length of check for the Maeda goal was almost as ridiculous as the linesman sticking his flag up in the first place.

VAR is a great system especially in the black and white decisions. Onside or offside. Goal or no goal. Its when further decisions are required that's when it falls down. That's not the systems fault but the numpties that are using it.
As for our third goal can they not just check it behind the scenes when it's clearly a goal. No need to put up anything that a checks in progress ?‍♂️.

I'm sure they had restarted from kick off by that point.

@SoSbhoy, of course every goal is checked by VAR, but it should be done behind the scenes with an OK in the refs ear if alls well, it should only be put up on screens as "goal check possible offside" if the linesman has put his flag up. Our 3rd goal last night flashed up on screens possible offside, when the linesman hadn't raised his flag, where they thought the possible offside was God only knows. Maybe just a slip of the finger in the VAR room?.

I don’t disagree that the way it is being used isn’t at its optimum, to put it lightly. All I’m saying is for SH’s goal there was barely even a delay. I really like a lot of this site but I find the paranoia over every little thing off puting.
