Can't be anything other than positive after that performance. We are becoming a joy to watch. Progression by the week. From individual performances to the team as a whole we just look entirely different to last season. To think we have Toure, Roberts, Erik etc to come in things are looking very good for the season. Would love to see us qualify for the Champions League and test Man City with an offer for Roberts.

Ed do you think this is on the cards? Or entirely too soon to even try and sign him permanently. HH.

{Ed007's Note - I said the other day that I think it's too early. Start nipping their nut at the end of December.}

Ed do you think city would sell though.

{Ed007's Note - I don't think City would be hard to deal with if Paddy fancied making his move permanent. No offence to the lad but he's got about as much chance of getting in that City first team as I have, they don't exactly need to even recoup their outlay let alone make a profit, and we do have a good relationship with City and one of their employees.}

I agree PR a smashing player but i don't see city wanting to start him over any big expensive stars, he might get a few cup games for them, but i really hope he builds up his career with the bhoys, and i can see man city selling him to us cause as u said ed city have a good relationship with us and i don't see it being a big lose to them, no disrespect to patrick roberts.

{Ed007's Note - I can't see Paddy playing up here for 18 months, playing in Europe, winning trophies and being happy to go back to City's reserves. He'll be looking for regular football and for me that means he'll need to leave City next summer.
Fingers crossed he doesn't have a coupls of bad games and get booed.}

I really hope he stays, he needs to stay and not just for celtic but for himself and as you say ed its a choice of regular football and in europe or researve football and maybe a cup game or 2.

{Ed007's Note - Even in England what would his options be, teams like a Stoke or a Sunderland just to prove himself again? I can't see the likes of Man Utd or Chelsea being interested in him and at 19 he has his full career in front of him. He'll have spent 18 months here, being part of a team and dressing room, getting plaudits and recognition.
If he continues the way he has I will be gutted if Celtic don't pull out all the stops to try and sign him permanently. Lawwell has said that we can afford an £8 million signing, I don't think Paddy would cost us that.}

Even if he was £8M, we're in the business of selling our top players for £12M+ these days so there would potentially still be room for a decent profit. Of course you'd need to add wages onto that but he's the type of player who would help us get into the CL with all the extra millions that brings too.

Ed007 could we give our stewards something to do and that is to shut up any of our loudmouths who can't wait for Roberts or others to make a mistake, so that they can boo and abuse .
At least one person on here thinks fans are justified.
