My E-mail to the Telegraph

Dear Sir Madam,
Regarding the aforementioned article in your newspaper today it is totally incorrect to suggest that Celtic Football Club had some kind of sectarian signing policy regarding protestant footballers unlike Rangers Football Club who were proud of their sectarian anti Catholic signing policy. Some of Celtic's greatest players like Kenny Dalglish and Danny McGrain and indeed their greatest manager Jock Stein were protestant and there was never any need for Celtic to have as you suggest "under the radar" protestant players playing for them. To tarnish the great name of Celtic Football Club by linking them to the bigoted and Anti Catholic football club who were Rangers FC is a disgraceful piece of journalism and is particularly offensive to myself and all Celtic supporters no matter their religion (which has no place in sport unless you have some kind of sectarian policy). I do not know of any other football club in the WORLD who have/ have had such a policy and how they were able to get away with it without any investigation into it from the SFA UEFA or FIFA is beyond me.

I look forward to your response to my e-mail but will not be surprised not to receive one.
A.S.

The club should definitely come out and threaten the telegraph with legal action. Raging at this one!

Obviously another sloppy unresearchied piece of journalism in which I hope the Celtic board take the telegraph to task over.a certain northern Irish protestant footballer was a Celtic legend and proudly captained Celtic to many trophies he also led the team in the famous 7-1 league cup final win against rangers . jock stein called him the "human dynamo step forward Bertie peacock .
