Fletcher is heading to West Brom for a medical they were always favorites to land him. Cahill I read was meant to be heading to China although he would be a coup even at his age

Hu everyone looking forward to the new season. Just to point out, according to opta, Lustig was the second most used player last season.

What really annoys me is that we are "faithful through and through" and the players are showing us fack all right now. Their total disrespect for RD during his term becomes more revealed every day. Their total disrespect and Alf preservation is sickening.

We need a massive clear out, Tierney and Eric only survivors for me. Before that we need a manager who can stand up command respect - a general. I haven't heard a name yet that can do this. Some of the foreign coaches mentioned are quality but the culture at the club won't permit that style. Any new manager must qualify for champ league, win the treble and unite the fans, or face the RD treatment. The board must match this with financial ambition.

For me the only person who can come close to this is Martin oneill. Failing that no nonesense managers like Hiddink or Avram Grant would be top of my list.

So you wouldn't keep Griffiths?

2.) 26 Apr 2016 02:27:29
We would be very foolish not keeping Griffiths and if we want to have any chance of winning the league next season I suggest we need to keep many more, even if we are not particularly fond of them . I doubt if you could win the league with 8/ 9 players without experience of playing for the club for at least for a year previous.

Hi all, just wondering what everyone thinks about the news this morning regarding RDs final months? I read on Twitter that NL had met with SB JF LG KC CM and physio TW around a month ago with RD hitting the roof when he found out. Apparently this rocked the changing rooms. Other players have been caught in the middle. TW was apparently put on gardening leave as he had been in the middle of undermining RD at lennoxtown.

Does anyone have any more info on this? I think in the full context of what had been the RD experiment, this needs to be exposed. It also sends out a message for any potential new manager that certain players maybe extremely disruptive if not shipped on.

If it's true (I'm just the messenger) it is a total disgrace.

I've always admired Lennon as a leader on the pitch and his ability to rally the troops on it. there's also a small matter of the harassment he and his family had to endure in the name of "football". He has his flaws thou, plenty of them. his time was up when he left, he done the proper thing.
Deila came with his ideologies, fitness, diet, fast flowing, pressing football but he delivered none. I'm not surprised to be honest, Norwegian football?
He had to go.
If it conspires that Lennon has met with senior members and staff and it was of matters to do with Celtic Football club and Deila (bit a bit of a reunion, beer or 2 and a chat) the level of respect I have for the man will have dropped a few bars
On a side note what has Jf to offer anybody. Don't answer that!

2.) 23 Apr 2016 15:28:59
If Lennon becomes the next Celtic manager then there may be some truth in this, so let's wait and see.

3.) 23 Apr 2016 16:26:14
Who is TW?

4.) 23 Apr 2016 16:46:36
TTTS, think its time to stop badmouthing norwegian football when the norwegian league is a better rated league than SPL.

5.) 23 Apr 2016 16:52:08
Why would Celtic put the physio on gardening leave for undermining Ronny with meetings with Lennon then appoint Lennon? And not deal with all the other players you mention? Silly rumour season and blaming game is in town.

6.) 23 Apr 2016 17:46:29
Even with a Norwegian dragging us down in Europe Norwegianred Scotland's league is rated 23rd whilst Norway league is 26th rated so hopefully a new manager can push us on to where we should be rather than where we were heading.

7.) 23 Apr 2016 18:48:25
Norwegianred, Celtic Football club are bigger than the Norwegian league. Stick to the bobsleigh sir.

8.) 23 Apr 2016 19:55:36
T T T S . I think it was a bit rash of u to post about NL alleged meeting unless u are pretty sure of the facts . It is definitely something worth drawing attention too if true . If it is a load of rubbish, it shouldn't be spread .
One of the problems our supporters have is that they think they deserve better than a Norwegian manager . Celtic are no longer a glamourous European Club and we will get it difficult to attract Managers from the top drawer.

9.) 23 Apr 2016 20:49:09
I didn't post the original, I only commented on it.

1.) 20 Apr 2016 02:29:50
Ploughbhoy, would you be ableto post them?
Would make interesting reading if true.

Is this Europe/ SPL/ Cups or just SPL?

2.) 20 Apr 2016 07:27:14
i saw that, same wins rd more draws after 2 seasons, only diff was europe.

3.) 20 Apr 2016 09:27:39
For me it doesn't matter anyway, I want someone better than both! The football under Lennon was average at best, and at the moment it's even worse!

The board should do the right thing and leave. Failing that they should not take any bonus this year across the whole board.

It would be nice if they showed us some respect- other clubs in EPL like Leicester bought their fans food and drink and others provide transport to games. How about laying in buses to a few away games or for the Irish fans pay for their boat a few times a season.

We are totally treated as mugs and shown no respect at all. Board out - maybe walk out this weekend at 67min.

Ploughbhoy81

1.) 19 Apr 2016 10:38:56
There won't be enough fans there for a walkout to be noticed Ploughbhoy81.

2.) 19 Apr 2016 11:35:01
As long as Ronny Jc jk are there I won't be watching I will if they hire a guy that's going to take no crap ie moyes Rodgers but it will prob be sum1 like j Hughes or a Stubbs.

3.) 19 Apr 2016 13:47:25
Daddy do you realise Rodgers was in the same position at liverpool that Sheila is at celtic? Signings at both clubs are not done by the manager.

4.) 19 Apr 2016 14:13:48
A hot dog and a burger and a glass of brown lemonade isn't going to buy much time and gratitude for the Celtic Board . Leicester came up with their idea when they are in an unbelievable successful position . Unfortunately we are not.

Hat same sport psych has been used successfully by a lot of sports team ps and individuals. I wouldn't say they bottled the league because of him. In actual fact his methods probably helped propel them to that level in the first place.

Ploughbhoy81

{Ed001's Note - I know exactly who he is and his methods, they are bull and they never helped Liverpool at all. They never had any pressure on them until the end of the season and then they folded. So his methods showed how nonsense they are. Fish oil salesman is all he is. You might not say it, but you know nothing about the situation so your mutterings are irrelevant.}

Daniel O Connell, this is the best post all season! I completely agree. We fall hook line and sinker for the smsm agenda every time. We are 4 points clear game in hand and we'll on our way to 5 in a row. I grew up in the 80s I was 10 when we were beat by Aberdeen on pens in the cup. I remember the rubbish we had In the 90s and when Raith beat us in the cup. We are on a better footing today than we ever were.

A 75 year old made a point tonight on Snyde. He asked how many of sevco would get on our team? Knowing they were caught out completely, the panel changed his question into some nonesense about 5 aside. The gentleman what's right. They hold up warbs as a genius and Ronny as incompetent. Last week they held up 5 potential new managers. Hold on, we have a manager, yes he is cutting his teeth with us, but he is ours, and he is one of us! The media turn on him like they turn on us, and it's time we said no more.

Yes we have been poor this season, but I for one would rather win the league playing poor than lose it playing well. We have lost the league that way before with Tommy Burns God rest him.

The smsm only serve to do one thing divide and conquer us. It's time we wise up to this. We need a show of strength at our next home game. Let's back Ronny, back the players, back each other and win the league and 5 in a row.

The club should definitely come out and threaten the telegraph with legal action. Raging at this one!
