I want to raise a topic to think about and see what peoples opinion is, so here goes! Our captian Scott Brown come this summer, is going to have 1 year remaining on his contract, and he will be 29 (not saying that's old!). we all know that he has has issues with his hip and let us down badly in the champions league with his suspension. I am a fan of how he holds celtic together in midfield and you could see that the team was weaker without him, however I believe we need to move on from Broonie to allow other players time to grow. do you think we should offload him next summer or do you think a new contract is the way to go for him? I feel after his suspension in CL this season he will be watched closely by refs next season in the CL and cautioned for breathing.

{Ed007's Note - Whoa....easy there tiger!!!!

New contract for me, if Ledley and sammy are away we can't really be letting another of our experienced players go. He made a mistake in Europe plenty have surely we got to move on from that now. His hip problem doesn't seem to have bothered him this season. 29 doesn't seem to old these days either players are fitter and playing longer.
Plus he knows what it means to be playing for celtic being from Scotland and always give his all.

I am not Browns biggest fan, as I feel he should have added a lot more goals to his game and can be an easy target for referees and wind-up merchants (CL is an example).
On saying that, he does make a difference when he is in the team and is the captain for a reason.
Under Lennon we have sometimes lacked experience on the park when we need it and we need to keep him.

I can't see Brown leaving. One of my favourite players and as poster above said "he knows what it means to pull hoops on"

Oh no! He's not beyond criticism but we'd struggle to replace him and what he brings to the team.
