The latest player we're apparently being linked with is James McAtee, MF, England U21, currently with Man City.

Played on loan last season at Sheffield Utd.

I hope this is true, he's apparently highly rated at Man City and they aren't entirely keen on losing him.

When you look at the number of midfielders we have McGregor, O’Riley, Turnbull, Holm, Kwon, Iwata etc. if we’re looking at another midfielder it makes the think Hatata is away particularly given Turnbull starting against Ross County.

I don’t think we’re looking at two centre halves because CCV is likely to leave I think it’s more in case one falls through that we don’t have all our eggs in one basket with only three weeks of the window remaining.

I wouldn’t expect us to sign both the Dutch lad and the Swedish lad it will be one or the other particularly as we’ve just signed Rocky. Not sure all would be happy chasing two starting places either.

Really like the look of the Swedish boy he can play football and head a ball my prayers would be answered.

we don't usually disagree and this time is no different.

On the midfield front, BR has plenty of options to choose from, although, I wouldn't read too much into Turnbull starting last weekend, I think that was more about BR stamping his authority given Hatate poor pre season and possible demeanour.

If, however, Hatate ended up leaving in this window I personally think we need more than Turnbull to replace him and maybe this is BR's thinking, particularly in Europe.

I still think DT could earn himself a new deal this season and make a real contribution coming off the bench.

In terms of the CB position, a very late, silly bid, could come in for CCV, but I'd hope it was rejected. Having said that I can't see Cameron being at CP beyond this season.

Therefore, what about a scenario where we buy both CB's and send one out on loan for 12 months and keep the other as back up to CCV and Rocky this season?

Then if CCV does leave at the end of this campaign we have his place already covered.

Personally I think both players have great attributes and we'd do well to get one or the other, both could be a real coup, although as a club we rarely plan that far ahead.

Coming through the youth set ups at both Chelsea and Barca, the Dutch lad isn't three shabby and as you say, the Swedish bhoy looks like a player already, we've had very good central defenders from both countries, hopefully that good run continues ?

If we were hypothetically to sign north centre back neither would go out on loan more chance of Welsh scales or kobayashi going out on loan.

{Ed007's Note - I expect that Welsh, Kobayashi and possibly Scales won't be at Celtic by the end of the month either on loan or permanently.}

I know turnball has had 2 good games but he isn't a replacement for Hatate and if other seasons are to go by, this will last a short time and he will start losing the ball or giving it away. I hope I am wrong and BR will really improve him as i like him but on his day he is nowhere near Hatate quality and we need that for CL. I am still keen on LB coming in and a keeper.

Personally, if we could get both CB's, I'd like for us to sign them both as I believe we'll likely be in the market for another Cb in 12 months time.

I wouldn’t expect a bid for CCV at this stage of season . Interested club would show interest to Celtic Board and I think our Board would ward off interest for this window at least, and stop any bid actually coming in.
