Nae live chat today Ed? ☘️.

{Ed007's Note - Ed033's working on it mate, sorry.}

1.) 26 Nov 2017 14:38:59
Cheers Ed.

{Ed007's Note - (yes)

2.) 29 Nov 2017 08:32:15
Well ED I think that this game tonight will be the biggest challenge this year to our domestic run tight pitch nae DM though we have the Griff. How do u think BR will change it up I think it could be Two or three changes with this starting line up Gordon
Patrick R

{Ed007's Note - I'd be happy with that starting line-up, Rich.}

3.) 29 Nov 2017 12:55:17
I'd go with:

Gamboa Boyata Simunovic Tierney

Brown Ntcham

Roberts Rogic Sinclair

Brendan Rodgers seems to be echoing the thoughts of many of us that the financial gap between us and the PSGs and Barcelona's of this world isn't a good enough excuse for us not competing and getting closer to them. Despite all the talk about how good they are and they were excellent doesn't hide the fact that the other night was a total embarrassment that some of us seem to be accepting as inevitable due to a gap that can't be bridged.

But he seems to be suggesting a lack of ambition by the board with which I'd agree. In saying that Brendan has now criticised the fans, players and board but he could also maybe look a bit closer to home given that we've now suffered our two heaviest European defeats in our history under his leadership. ☘️.

31 Aug 2017 17:50:37
Looks like we're FAVOURITES to sign this ODDSON Ed? ☘️.

1.) 31 Aug 2017 18:22:33
ED001/ ED007 is it true that if this goes ahead we have option to buy the lad for £10m, seems a big price for Celtic to even think about offering.

{Ed007's Note - People are speculating that the fee would be 10 million Euros but really nobody knows for sure yet if there is an option to buy or how much it will be. It would make sense though as if the fans take to him it would ease their pain - and ire - when Dembele leaves next summer.}

2.) 31 Aug 2017 18:45:45
Very clever IMO, If Duverne arrived your looking at four young French boys all happily plying there trade, with time on there side they will not be in a major hurry to leave IMO.

3.) 31 Aug 2017 19:11:54
If Duverne came in and no first teamers left that would be a sensational window!

4.) 31 Aug 2017 19:50:27
Is duverne still a possibility?

{Ed007's Note - It doesn't look like it mate.}

03 Jul 2017 19:40:53
Southampton target Armstrong? Seriously hope not. ☘️.

1.) 03 Jul 2017 20:24:25
Theyve said vvd is not for sale and we should tell them the same we can't keep selling our best players.

2.) 03 Jul 2017 21:49:09
. and we definitely need to stop selling our players to a minion backwater club like Southampton. The only way they will see European action is on a clear day looking across the English Channel.

3.) 03 Jul 2017 22:16:14
They were in Europe last season WC.

4.) 03 Jul 2017 22:23:14
Wiltshire celt Southampton were in European action last season ya maniac! 😂😂😂 And I would hardly call them a backwater club, they've done well the past few years down there! Still confident Armstrong will sign a new deal soon, no need to panick! He's happy where he is with a manager who has taken his game to a new level!

5.) 04 Jul 2017 09:08:07
If Armstrong is as happy as some people suggest then please tell us why he hasn't signed a new contract yet? I'm pretty sure he'll have an agent to do his negotiations for him so I don't buy in to the focusing on matches just now talk. allhe has to do is turn up and sign once a deal is in place unless he fancies a crack elsewhere and he isn't going to sign an extension. I think Celtic should set a date to say sign or be sold as we can't afford players to leave for nothing.

6.) 04 Jul 2017 09:47:14
Maybe it just boils down to trust lads, Armstrong trusts the gaffer and vice versa that itll get sorted.

7.) 04 Jul 2017 11:28:53
I agree Jim If he's happy then sign, but u know it's never as simple as that mate. these things can drag on, and maybe it's the agent that's playing hard ball! The agents obviously seen the season he's just had and thought there's a better deal to be had. but your point about setting a date for him to sign is spot on. if he's no intention of signing before the transfer window shuts then we sell him and move on! He can't be allowed to get to January we're he's free to talk to other clubs and we possibly lose him for buttons!

8.) 04 Jul 2017 20:00:00
My point is that between 1984 and last year Southampton qualified for Europe once. They are as much as a backwater club as Sevco and I simply don't like the idea of selling on our players on to diddy teams.

9.) 05 Jul 2017 22:39:40
Armstrong has messed around long enough, ungrateful brat, if it hadn't been for the improvement made in him by Brendan Rodgers his agent would be talking to Championship teams or lower . Time to sign or leave the club.

21 May 2017 16:44:43
Ed-in your opinion is signing wee Paddy a possibility or a pipe dream? ☘️.

{Ed007's Note - It's definitely a possibility.}

1.) 21 May 2017 17:54:26
I would be absolutely delighted if we could. I heard his interview today on the radio on my way home and the interviewer asked him three times if he was staying. He answered "Who knows in football". He went on to thank the fans and sounded like he was choking a little. I took it as a farewell sort of thank you, but maybe the kid was just emotional at what he and his teammates had just achieved.

2.) 21 May 2017 21:03:04
I would like to thank the EDs for all their work on this site love it. We will b very lucky to get Paddy Roberts back he has been quality on and off the park for such a young man he sounds as if he loves it here he just loves playing football I just hope that he finds that here again next year HH.

{Ed007's Note - Thank you, Rich, you're very welcome.}

3.) 22 May 2017 09:59:54
Paddy would be our best signing from the king absolute class.

4.) 22 May 2017 18:39:54
Absolute must of a signing n be it 6_8 million he is well worth it n his value will only soar. Paddy Sinclair n Rogic/ armstrong in that attack 3 is just dynamite n the longer the chosen 3 (depends where Brendan plays Armstrong n rogics fitness but Armstrong is a first team pick be it in that 3 or as partner to Broony)
, The longer the play together they will just become deadlier n deadlier, always improving, always learning.
Brendan certainly won't be slacking or letting anyone else slack, trebles could be a regular thing the way our team is steam rollering every other team n we will just continue to improve n add more quality. Sure we may well sell a few here n there but we will bring in the same or similar type quality, certainly since pl let go of managerial duties Brendan has been allowed to bring in two top players in moussa n scotty, Gambia has been decent, kolos experience n form helped early on but i think he's been a good influence in the dressing room. Devries, not the best signing, however I'm sure that position will get another look as i feel we need better.
However fantastic first season for Brendan, he has done an outstanding job in all facets of the club n i can't wait to be celebrating that treble, as always with Celtic we win trophies and do our talking on the park.
Here we go 10 in a row.

I agree our back line needs cleared out Boyata, Gamboa and Jozo as well as Biton but of the opinion Lustig should be allowed to see his career out at Celtic Park even its on a lesser deal for less games. Loyalty (sorry faithfulness) is a two way street and he's been a great servant to the Club who has earned the right for me. ☘️.

1.) 14 Mar 2018 11:47:15
Think you are getting loyalty mixed up with filthy lucre.

2.) 14 Mar 2018 13:28:39
If Ralston would stay fit we have an able replacement although saw he played in the development defeat to falkirk.

12 Mar 2018 19:30:21
Behind twice. Debutant keeper and centre half who I thought were both excellent. (Henry wasn't slow to tell his team mates nobody was talking to him after he'd put ball behind for a corner when there was no need. He looked more of a centre half than our first choice centre halfs. ) Anothef centre halfs first game back. Players pelted with missiles when taking corners. Sectarian march organised beforehand (what's new there eh) . Linesman doing the bouncy shouting 'red card red card it's got to be a feckn red card ref'. Then put to the sword by 10 men. Grifiths flying the tri-colour and tying scarf to Broomloan Rd stand. Broonie with sun glasses and tap aff at the end. What part do you think made UJ and his fellow follow followers the sickest. It must be nearly enough to make ye sell yir sash and buy a set of rosary beads. Oh aye. and this is the glorious 12th. Long may it continue. Well done Brendan. Edourde on up beside Dembelle to finish them off was the shout. God Bless the Celtic for giving me another memorable day.

1.) 12 Mar 2018 21:38:43
Summed up brilliantly jfp, only thing il add id ntcham is becoming a superb all round player, well done bhoys🇮🇪✌️.

11 Mar 2018 14:36:42
Let's salute 10 brave men! ☘️.

1.) 11 Mar 2018 15:05:36
Indeed we do. Brilliant. Hail hail.

11 Mar 2018 11:33:01
I'd have played Bain anyway but would have started with Edourde up beside Dembelle. Our biggest asset is they really do fancy their chances and will come at us. The bold Brendan knows that and it should suit us. C'mon the Hoops let's pump this shower of bigots. I hope their match from the Loudon Tavern for the match against the Fenians went well! ☘️.

08 Mar 2018 18:40:24
Just for a bit of banter given that it's a banter site if there's one player you wouldn't want to hear was injured before playing the mob that are less than clean who would it be? My shout is Broon! ☘️.

1.) 08 Mar 2018 18:53:41
PS: ah hope tae feck a haven’t jinxed him!

2.) 08 Mar 2018 19:01:59
Mine would be Moussa Dembele as I think he is going to destroy them on Sunday. When he is on form, no one in Scotland can cope with him.

3.) 08 Mar 2018 19:22:06
RAW fair shout but who do you think the Hun would prefer to be missing from our line up? 👍☘️.

4.) 08 Mar 2018 20:08:46
Probably be between Brown and Dembele, possibly Tierney.

5.) 08 Mar 2018 20:24:31
irrelevant jfp any 11 we put out will destroy this hun lot keep the faith my man its coming.

6.) 08 Mar 2018 20:16:47
I think broon is the only one we would all miss, without broony in a game its not the same, i would ask who is going to take over when he's done.? I think we need a couple rather than rely on 1 man again.

7.) 08 Mar 2018 20:17:27
Got to be broony! When he’s not playing then we’re not half the team we are when he’s in! He’ll be vital once again on Sunday!

8.) 08 Mar 2018 20:32:35
RAW not a bad 3 in our starting 10 eh? PS: I’ve not included DDV as it’s an empty goal as far as I’m concerned.

9.) 08 Mar 2018 20:34:27
Hope you’re right Welsbhoy my friend! 👍☘️.

Did we ever get to the bottom of whether Paddy didn't sign because he didn't want to or because Man City wouldn't let him go? ☘️.

Jackson Irvine, Tam Rogic and Skippy are not bad examples of what we could pick up from the Ozzie league.

Love KT and the obvious answer. Make them the same age and it’s Broony for me. Deserves to be remembered as a great Celtic captain and a club legend. The man is a Celt to the core. My favourite player up beside Larsson is probably Paul McStay. Never thought I’d say it but Broony is up there with McStay.

Maybe even more so given Celtic like Jock Stein maybe wasn’t his first love but it will be his last. To quote the man himself ‘There will be no other club after Celtic’. How proud it makes me that we can do that to a man who while not brought up in the Celtic tradition has come to love our club as much as ANY player before him. I think that’s why the Govanites hate him more. ☘️.
