Southampton target Armstrong? Seriously hope not. ☘️.

1.) 03 Jul 2017 20:24:25
Theyve said vvd is not for sale and we should tell them the same we can't keep selling our best players.

2.) 03 Jul 2017 21:49:09
. and we definitely need to stop selling our players to a minion backwater club like Southampton. The only way they will see European action is on a clear day looking across the English Channel.

3.) 03 Jul 2017 22:16:14
They were in Europe last season WC.

4.) 03 Jul 2017 22:23:14
Wiltshire celt Southampton were in European action last season ya maniac! 😂😂😂 And I would hardly call them a backwater club, they've done well the past few years down there! Still confident Armstrong will sign a new deal soon, no need to panick! He's happy where he is with a manager who has taken his game to a new level!

5.) 04 Jul 2017 09:08:07
If Armstrong is as happy as some people suggest then please tell us why he hasn't signed a new contract yet? I'm pretty sure he'll have an agent to do his negotiations for him so I don't buy in to the focusing on matches just now talk. allhe has to do is turn up and sign once a deal is in place unless he fancies a crack elsewhere and he isn't going to sign an extension. I think Celtic should set a date to say sign or be sold as we can't afford players to leave for nothing.

6.) 04 Jul 2017 09:47:14
Maybe it just boils down to trust lads, Armstrong trusts the gaffer and vice versa that itll get sorted.

7.) 04 Jul 2017 11:28:53
I agree Jim If he's happy then sign, but u know it's never as simple as that mate. these things can drag on, and maybe it's the agent that's playing hard ball! The agents obviously seen the season he's just had and thought there's a better deal to be had. but your point about setting a date for him to sign is spot on. if he's no intention of signing before the transfer window shuts then we sell him and move on! He can't be allowed to get to January we're he's free to talk to other clubs and we possibly lose him for buttons!

8.) 04 Jul 2017 20:00:00
My point is that between 1984 and last year Southampton qualified for Europe once. They are as much as a backwater club as Sevco and I simply don't like the idea of selling on our players on to diddy teams.

9.) 05 Jul 2017 22:39:40
Armstrong has messed around long enough, ungrateful brat, if it hadn't been for the improvement made in him by Brendan Rodgers his agent would be talking to Championship teams or lower . Time to sign or leave the club.

21 May 2017 16:44:43
Ed-in your opinion is signing wee Paddy a possibility or a pipe dream? ☘️.

{Ed007's Note - It's definitely a possibility.}

1.) 21 May 2017 17:54:26
I would be absolutely delighted if we could. I heard his interview today on the radio on my way home and the interviewer asked him three times if he was staying. He answered "Who knows in football". He went on to thank the fans and sounded like he was choking a little. I took it as a farewell sort of thank you, but maybe the kid was just emotional at what he and his teammates had just achieved.

2.) 21 May 2017 21:03:04
I would like to thank the EDs for all their work on this site love it. We will b very lucky to get Paddy Roberts back he has been quality on and off the park for such a young man he sounds as if he loves it here he just loves playing football I just hope that he finds that here again next year HH.

{Ed007's Note - Thank you, Rich, you're very welcome.}

3.) 22 May 2017 09:59:54
Paddy would be our best signing from the king absolute class.

4.) 22 May 2017 18:39:54
Absolute must of a signing n be it 6_8 million he is well worth it n his value will only soar. Paddy Sinclair n Rogic/ armstrong in that attack 3 is just dynamite n the longer the chosen 3 (depends where Brendan plays Armstrong n rogics fitness but Armstrong is a first team pick be it in that 3 or as partner to Broony)
, The longer the play together they will just become deadlier n deadlier, always improving, always learning.
Brendan certainly won't be slacking or letting anyone else slack, trebles could be a regular thing the way our team is steam rollering every other team n we will just continue to improve n add more quality. Sure we may well sell a few here n there but we will bring in the same or similar type quality, certainly since pl let go of managerial duties Brendan has been allowed to bring in two top players in moussa n scotty, Gambia has been decent, kolos experience n form helped early on but i think he's been a good influence in the dressing room. Devries, not the best signing, however I'm sure that position will get another look as i feel we need better.
However fantastic first season for Brendan, he has done an outstanding job in all facets of the club n i can't wait to be celebrating that treble, as always with Celtic we win trophies and do our talking on the park.
Here we go 10 in a row.

15 May 2017 07:59:19
Heard a wee whisper Grifiths is off to Fulham? Certainly hope not though. ☘️.

1.) 15 May 2017 22:40:48
Christ their talking about signing mcgeady for 2million on zombie page can'ts are nuts.

2.) 16 May 2017 11:29:14
must be on the glue again.

3.) 17 May 2017 21:16:27
Cannot be anything to the Griffith whisper . Anyone who had facts like this wouldn't confine himself to a whisper . He would. Shout it from the roof top.

16 Mar 2017 20:33:24
Sell Moussa for £30m and buy Joey Garner for £20k and return Paddy to Man City and buy Barry McKay for £10k leaving us no worse off on the playing front according to MSSM but £29,970,000 better off financially! 👍🍀.

04 Mar 2017 12:31:47
Looks like it's all happening in the land of the Timmites. New playing surface at Celtic Park and aerodome and covered pitch planned for Lennoxtown. Big Kung Fu Craig to sign a new deal which I'm delighted about.

The only cloud on the horizon is it looks like Dembelle the Mighty Smiter could leave for another tribe in the summer and even that brings a £40m cheque as a sweetener.

1.) 04 Mar 2017 20:10:17
new big screens in the stadium im hearing too jfp.

2.) 05 Mar 2017 19:54:28
in the summer the screens i meant to say i didn't mean imminently.

3.) 06 Mar 2017 17:10:45
Wot they doing wae the old ones, the weans need new tellies in their rooms.

4.) 06 Mar 2017 19:53:54

Now that my bum has stopped squeeking and my temporarily excited Airdrie neighbours are tucked up safely in their bed and I'm able to eat ma dinner it's time for a reality check. Getting past Rosenberg and Astana was no mean feat so credit to Rodgers and the team. However It is a dangerous game we doth play though me protesteth each year this let's qualify then spend. Lucky last year with the Happy Bear Shavers and lucky again tonight. Could very easily have become the biggest you know whit in the nest ever. Bottom line though is that we're through, the Huns are shining bright, their manager is single fish and a TIM and the gap that was already a chasm between Parkhead and Govan has just got £40m wider. Not that I'm bragging just saying like. ☘️.

1.) 22 Aug 2017 20:59:13

squeak - at the hairy beer shandies - we should have learned from that, maybe we did.
rosencrown - I was genuinely concerned - praise jeebuz their strikers were mince
astauner - I personally was never in doubt after the lucky first leg - but please for the love of crunchies - let's not play midfielders in defence - gonnae no dae that.

New image uploaded to the
Celtic Player Sightings page entitled, No celebrating at Ibrox.

2.) 17 Aug 2017 16:21:08
They've nothing to celebrate anyhoo. 😭😭😭.

04 Aug 2017 17:05:36
We got lucky and went through last year let's hope we haven't pushed our luck with lack of aspiration this year. My fear is that you're never lucky all the time. Yours-very disappointed in the lack of transfer activity.

1.) 04 Aug 2017 17:49:08
I'm disappointed myself (again) . P*ssed off even, but it was clear to me before the first Rosenborg leg what we were up to. It's up to the players here now to show that they can be relied upon. I can see us getting off to a great start tomorrow, and hopefully get a bit momentum with a settled side in their correct positions for the play-offs.

2.) 04 Aug 2017 18:30:46
I agree but honestly believe that wee Paddy will be home soon. More squeaky bums on the way though JFP.

3.) 04 Aug 2017 21:08:19
VT. If there was an injection of quality that would fit straight in, it would be him. 8m too, pretty much what we'll bank from the 'unbudgeted' european money already.

02 Aug 2017 18:30:37
Even allowing for my usual negativity and pessimism ones bottom is as squeaky as it was a couple of days ago. I wish I shared you guys optimism but I just don't see this been a stroll in the park. Mibi am just going through ma negative period but although I wasn't there they appear to do ok at Celtic Park even allowing for the fact we were pants on the night. Best news is we didn't concede a goal at home which I think is more important than scoring at home. ☘️.

1.) 05 Aug 2017 17:46:49
griff on the bench looks like sinky up top.

01 Aug 2017 14:28:18
I've got a squeaky bum about tomorrow for some reason maybe it's just my natural tendency towards pessimism but hope this feckn Rosenberg moment doesn't turn into a Kopparberg (or 3) moment! ☘️.

1.) 01 Aug 2017 15:14:35
JFP : go to the docs and get something for your squeaky bum mate. I am the eternal optimist and are confident we will go through. man get a grip lol. HH.

2.) 01 Aug 2017 15:48:49
I'm really nervous about tomorrow also although I do think we will go through possible with a 2-2 draw.

3.) 01 Aug 2017 16:33:30
Think we"ll go through with a bit to spare. Wouldn't argue with Jim Tim's team.

4.) 01 Aug 2017 16:39:07
Have to say I have some butterflies but if we play anywhere near our best we will cruise this. 2-1 win for me HH.

5.) 01 Aug 2017 17:09:08
3-1 win. Says me praying.

6.) 01 Aug 2017 17:52:42
Rogic, McGregor and controversially, LG coming off the bench in the second half.

7.) 04 Aug 2017 12:23:21
immodium works for that jfp lol.

Positive and negative on Toure front for me. (1) without him we wouldn't have qualified for CL at that time and (2) he shat in the nest twice and cost us the Man City game. On balance therefore a plus overall but time to go for me.

Guys-it's just like drawing Airdrie at Broomfield. Bit of friendly banter with the away supporters. But I wouldn't take a ticket for it free! ☘️.

Bollocks I think BR might sign Hayes as it's a long season and he's a hardy boy suited to Scottish football able to take a kicking or broken jaw with no referee protection. But I think BR still has high hopes for Christie as I do myself. ☘️.

Kolo was a failed experiment at his age and don't see us repeating it with JT. I don't think we should be buying EPL has beens as it only adds fuel to their fire with respect to the standard of Scottish football in the Brexiteers opinion.

Theirs onlly one Neil Lennon-How he's been treated since day one of his arrival is to Scotland's shame. I better be careful though. that was nearly a political comment there. don't want to offend the establishment and get ma hotel in Santa Ponsa closed for 2 games. Gaun yirsel Neil Bhoy! In Pedro 'The Rock' we trust! ☘️.

Aindoh you're getting carried away and starting to sound like our version of Union Jack as far as logical arguments go and being opinionated. No alpha or omega, no heaven or hell etc. Please leave some of us the option of having religious or political views you may not share which is independent of the argument as to whether that may or may not be compatible with expression at a football match. Opinions are like arseholes we all have one. How you get from the GBs banner or songs which show support for a country's fight for freedom or a people within an abandoned six counties demand and struggle for civil rights to equating that with celebrating the blowing up of innocent men and women or opposition to the peace process is beyond me. They were also very much a reaction rightly or wrongly to Linfields horrendous behaviour in the previous game. I'm in Santa Ponsa at the moment and the support for Celtic for televised games is incredible. So much so that the comment was made to me by a Spurs fan after seeing us here for many years that nothing can match Celtics support because QUOTE: 'Celtic are not a football club but an institution and a way of life''. A club born out of charity necessary because of political factors. As Welshboy intimated you will never seperate Celtic and politics as they are intrinsically linked and are part of the reason together with our footballing history and tradition why we are a club like no other whether you, me, the board, EUFA or anyone else agrees, disagrees, likes it or doesn't.

JB7 spot on. The disappointment on Radio Scotland was tangible last night. Always good to know where we stand! ☘️.
