I am probably the BIG minority but letting my head rule my heart on this one I would take him back.

I hated B Rodgers for what he did, but there were extenuating circumstances. BR had the pedigree of a top EPL manager . He had a disagreement with our then CEO . I am not interested in whose fault . Ange had 25 yrs managing in very low performing leagues . He had no links to EPL . Celtic elevated him to managing at highest possible club level in Champions League, but he hadn’t matched our poorest manager in last 20 yrs N L.
BR really felt he deserved to give himself another EPL chance, we don’t like the way he went about it . I certainly didn’t like Ange destroying my 8th Treble and taking away all the joy associated. None of the other names listed excite me, maybe my ignorance, but they don’t show me they can handle sectarian Scotland. Was that what put Ange out, refs and VAR.

An astounding piece of revisionism Celtic Calling. One manager ditches us in the middle of a season and one leaves after delivering a Treble and you've got the latter as the bad guy.

We continued on and won the league after B R left . All I said was I could understand why Rodgers left, I said I hated him for what he did .
I never said I hated what Ange did, I am certainly not the only one that didn’t like him taking away good feeling of our 8th Treble . I walked on air and had a smile on my face for a week after the previous 7 . I don’t know how many more Trebles, I will see if any, but I hope to God I am allowed to enjoy them before something wipes the joy away .

No celtic calling you are correct regarding ange he brought us joy in a short space of 2 years but in 3 weeks he threw it back in our face with behind the scenes demands and new contract to turn it down and go down south when stating there was another guy favourite for the spurs job when he knew in the background his agent was already in dialogue with them. For me that's a back stabbing snake.

Heatoflisbon agreed, I hate to say it about the guy as he delivered 5 out of 6 trophies but we feel robbed especially knowing there had to be something happening for the past few weeks before he was appointed at spurs. I had a feeling after we got our hands on the League Trophy that his face was saying I’m soaking this up before I bolt he had the look of a man that knew he was about to leave. I personally think he broke it to the squad after we beat hearts to secure the title hence why the well below par performances leading up to the last game at CP the the Cup final, just a feeling I get I may be wrong. Would anyone take BR back? Ed would you have BR back? I’m on the fence with it aye he left in a snake like manner, but he can handle the pressure up here and I just want to ensure that smug mooch doesn’t get his hands on any silverware next season or the season after haha HH.

{Ed007's Note - Rodgers is a top manager, we know what he can do, he is available etc etc and I do think it'll be him that gets the job if he wants it - my head says yes but my heart isn't convinced.
If it is Rodgers and I was DD I would make sure that the compensation required to get him out his contract mid season was a crazy figure like £25 million, at the end of a season we'll negotiate but we aren't getting stung again.}

Not so sure, there is never a good time for a successful manager to leave but to swipe away the feel good, cocky feeling of treble winners is really hard, esp for a man in mid 70’s . I may not see many more.

Sw1982 the reason why I'm hurting so much about it is because I was raving about ange telling everyone he is the nearest thing we have had to jock stein both as a manager and person I truly believe if he had stayed at us he would have delivered European glory not champions league but European or conference I know all ifs and buts but I genuinely believe that.
