A few rumours in today's papers:

Finnish international Alexander Ring's agent says Celtic have been watching the Kaiserslautern midfielder for over a year. (Various)

Norwich star Robert Snodgrass is flattered to be linked with his boyhood heroes Celtic, but admits he is keen to stay in England's Premier League. (Various)

Full-back Mikael Lustig is ready to open talks over a new Celtic deal, with the Sweden international revealing he is hoping to get the chance to play in an Old Firm game. (Various)

Former Celtic assistant manager Johan Mjallby has revealed he is not certain to take a job in his homeland of Sweden this summer. (Record)

So we're linked to a DM who plays for Lautern, Snodgrass doesn't want to leave the EPL, massive news that Lustig's ready to commit to the club + Mjallby's leaving without guarantee of work which means it's likely something's happened behind the scenes at Celtic. Thoughts?

Ring is ok. Just ok though from what I remember. Didn't know he was still in Germany tbh. If we go for another cm, Bibras Natkho for me, we've also been watching him a while. He's a very creative cm with goals in him. Great technique and a set piece artist too. Think he's a free agent this summer and would look very good with Johansen in a 5 man midfield in Europe. Still we need an anchor though like Wanyama. Another free: McDonald Wanyama?

Snodgrass I'd love, another creative player, Norwich's stand out for me. Fairplay if he wants to wait a few year though.

Lustig, great to hear. Quality versatile player.

Not sure about Mjallby. Don't think it's got Alan Thompson written on it or anything like that. Perhaps he just wants to be No.1 somewhere, plenty coaches do.

Never heard of Ring. If/when Cardiff go down could we nick that Medel off them or is he on huge wages? If we're going to be playing 4 - 3 - 1 - 2 we do need a Wanyama type in the middle with Johansen acting as our Pirlo type player and Brown going box to box. As with the Nick Powell rumour I'd love to see Snodgrass here - him and Commons would torment defences, if we were to sign a top class forward they'd get plenty of chances.

I have two ways of looking at the Mjallby news. Either Lennon has hinted he's off and Mjallby doesn't want to stay without him, or he's wanting a chance at a managers job and has to move away because Lennon is staying put. I've said before I'd have been quite happy for him to be given a chance as number 1 if Lennon was to leave.
