Obviously Aberdeen would keep him if they could, but is there really a chance we'll look to sell Christie in the summer? Would be a real shame.

1.) 28 Feb 2018 11:46:21
I think he will every chance in the summer as he looks ready for the step up IMO.

2.) 28 Feb 2018 22:53:23
Christie is a fine player but very similar in standard to what we have - McGregor, Armstrong etc. If we want to keep BR and improve in Europe we need better than that. Only my opinion but I would sell him and Armstrong and Bitton and try and get one player of a higher standard. Easier said than done granted but that’s what we pay scouts for.

3.) 01 Mar 2018 08:46:48
Chinks replacing 3 players with one is not a good idea. Our squad has been stretched to the limits this season to trim it anymore would be mental.

4.) 01 Mar 2018 18:09:40
Kev83 replacing 3 players with 1 would be crazy if said 3 players played 20 games each for the first team this year. How many good performances has Armstrong, Christie or Biton put in for the 1st team this year? Do yeah buying a better quality prospect or a senior pro would be a good move for me as even if they don't play 60 games in the season we ain't losing out on much.

18 May 2016 20:30:12
See we are linked with Charlton keeper Nick Pope. Have we got shirt sales in mind here or is he a decent prospect?

1.) 18 May 2016 22:00:44
Is the number 11 shirt available?

2.) 19 May 2016 19:31:35
number 11 u say

its available now pmsl.

22 Jan 2015 12:37:22
The Hamilton LB Hendrie was linked with us a wee while back, and his move to West Ham has just collapsed. Are we still/have we ever been interested?
Izzy desperately needs competition

1.) Quotes say he is out of contract on the Summer so a bit strange why West Ham we're going to pay £2 million for him especially when he won't be a starter. Could be a good move for us on a Bosman although we would have to pay a development fee due to his age.

Anyone know if there are options to buy in the Forster, Bauer or Elyounoussi loan deals?

1.) 03 Sep 2019 12:10:16
No just a years loan buddy.

2.) 03 Sep 2019 12:16:28
There is an option to buy Bauer but truth be told pay the right money and you could buy any of them.
All an option to buy is, is a set price before the deal.

3.) 03 Sep 2019 12:46:28
I thought we’d bought my Bauer?

4.) 03 Sep 2019 13:06:48
All 3 of them would be outside the money we pay for players. They were all bought by their parent clubs for big money so if they do move on then it makes sense that the clubs would want to recoup all or most of what they paid to begin with. We would be no different.
As Kev says, an option is not a guarantee and even if both clubs were happy to go ahead with the deal at the end of a loan period the player could still say no. HH.

5.) 03 Sep 2019 13:09:43
I think there an option on FF too. He has certainly been talking about coming back.

6.) 03 Sep 2019 13:18:18
The only benefit of an option loan is that the price has been set in advance. It stops a parent club from hiking a players value if they have just had a great season for the loan club and that club wants to make the loan permanent, again with the agreement of the player himself. Better to have it than not to have it but only time will tell if it turns out to be a good thing. HH.

7.) 03 Sep 2019 13:26:25
As far as I hear Southampton just want big FF off their wage bill as he's around the highest paid player at the club. Don't think they will be hard to deal with. Problem would be whether he will take a wage cut.
Bauer performs well I think we will sign him.
Can't see the winger being in our price range.

Anyone have any advice on a ticket for Valencia away? Been a long time attendee at home matches but never been away, Valencia being a long time dream to visit of mine I had to take the chance to go over.

1.) 22 Dec 2018 13:13:33
£61 flight to Malaga £17 for hotel £40 for bus belamadima Csc return 20th to 22nd that’s what I’m doing.

2.) 22 Dec 2018 13:45:40
Welshy, went to Lemon bar last nite, said they might not be doing a bus, can you check with your mate as the girl was a bit unsure, please let me know as maybe it's from someone else, we are 5 wanting the bus.

3.) 22 Dec 2018 19:17:53
They’ve got a WhatsApp group saying it’s all sorted bud.

4.) 23 Dec 2018 08:19:09
Thanks Welshy, I will go back there today and try to get a bit more info.

5.) 23 Dec 2018 11:45:36
Mike, I’ve been to around 20’ish away European games and I’ve sat with the opposition supporters as often as I’ve sat in the Celtic end. There will be Celtic fans all over the stadium and you’ll probably be able to get a ticket from the locals at a reasonable price. As long as you behave yourself, you shouldn’t get any trouble from the Valencia fans. Enjoy the trip and continue the Celtic tradition of making friends all over the world.

Potentially unpopular but I'd look at Fletcher in January if he's available. Link up play last night was impressive. Could take some of the target man duties off Eddy.

1.) 21 Nov 2018 12:25:56
Better off with "Norman Stanley Fletcher"

2.) 21 Nov 2018 15:19:08
Wasn't good enough in his prime never mind now.

3.) 21 Nov 2018 15:40:47
Glad you’re not on our scouting team mike. Terrible shout.

4.) 21 Nov 2018 18:17:14
I think you’re spot on Mike. it is an unpopular post 😉.

5.) 22 Nov 2018 00:32:23
Only person that agrees with you Mike. Bit of experience n can certainly do the target man role imo.
Far too often away in Europe this year ball just bounces off griff n eddy, don't win fouls don't n look out of depth. He'd be excellent in the league too.
Someone in the Sutton role n different to what we have makes sense to me n he's a supporter so ticks a number of boxes. Apart from his age lol.
Prefer a calvert-lewin or Tammy Abraham but don't have the money n wouldn't come.

Hi all, does anyone know of a pub in Budapest that will have Celtic tv, to show home games? Cheers.

1.) 15 Mar 2018 13:19:31
Found this for you but can't verify 100%.

Caledonia Bar, Budapest, Mozsár u. 9, 1066 (Tel: +36 1 311 7611)

2.) 15 Mar 2018 17:19:25
Caledonian bar. owners from Glasgow and a tim.

3.) 15 Mar 2018 18:14:42
cheers folks!

4.) 15 Mar 2018 18:54:55
That’s mental - a pub in Budapest called the Caledonian

5.) 15 Mar 2018 22:33:37
Was in the bar a few years ago to watch a Celtic game. They have a number of TV’s so if there’s a couple of games on, they’ll show both.

There's a rumour going round that fans might get off James Forrest's back and give him a bit of credit where it's due.

1.) 17 Aug 2017 10:04:51
anno its a rumours page but c'mon mike bud, need to be realistic as well ;)

2.) 17 Aug 2017 10:06:35
Forrest been one of our most important players in qualifying for the CL! To be honest I reckon he would be a hard squad player to replace. On his game he is deadly.

3.) 17 Aug 2017 11:08:04
Still doesn't have enough end product for me. Think we can do better. Credit where it's due though.

4.) 17 Aug 2017 11:38:01
he's not as bad as people make out and imo the scapegoat for every bad performance by the team no matter how he or others have performed . under br he has improved and hopefully matured enough to now know what he has to do to keep his place . inconsitancy (and injury ) have somewhat stalled his career / development and he never seemed to be able to address his faults / flaws . but I think the new coaching regime has seen him get better and imo his start to this season has been good . he's still young enough to get better but old enough to finally realise what he has to do to setup up? (hopefully)

5.) 17 Aug 2017 11:59:20
We been discussing this on live chat our corner kick taker is our striker and that is not right not going to give one ounce of criticism today but for fun who can actually cross a ball at Celtic? I say Liam Henderson LG not counting can you imagine we get someone in who could deliver a high diagonal ball / corner? (Y)

6.) 17 Aug 2017 12:02:00
The support just get frustrated because we know (and he knows) what he is capable of but he has been inconsistent.
There is no doubt he could be a great player if he believed it more and he has already put a marker down that he is better than Hayes and now he needs to keep producing.

£3m Kouassi apparently on £1.2k per week. Just because it's standard in England doesn't mean we should pay it. I don't imagine Edouard demanded a £9m player's wages otherwise he wouldn't be in Glasgow.

Aye, I personally blame Rodgers, Congerton, Kennedy, Toure and Desmond for spending £3m on a player they obviously knew would catch malaria and get a cruciate ligament injury. Thankfully Turnbull will never get injured or ill, so definitely a better player.

Bitton. there's a forgotten man. What's the story with him? Injury?

It just means the club has permission to speak to the player. By no means would KT need to sign a contract with any club the met the figure.

Fit and on form he's unplayable. Providing he's not on / asking for massive wages I'd be really sad to see him go.

1-1, 2-0, 4-0, 3-0. Remember them being quite bad tempered, 6 red cards shown across the four matches. Familiarity breeds contempt!

Don't think Commons' personality should affect how he's remembered as a player. He may well be bitter about the club for whatever reason, but his goals and assists were often very important.

How many times does he need to say he wants to stay?

{Ed007's Note - All year every year people complain about the rubbish the papers print and tell people not to believe them - now they want the Club and players to comment on the rubbish!}

Seems a very common misconception about Boyata being a young player, he's actually 27!

Meanwhile we have the likes of Ajer (20) , KT (20) , Dembele (21) and Ntcham (22) who all look mature beyond their years.
