A West ham site said the Ajeti deal is off.

1.) 30 Jul 2020 12:59:50
Well move on to next target.

2.) 30 Jul 2020 13:11:48
if the lad does not want to commit to celtic that's fine, let's move on and get in people who want to play for us.

3.) 30 Jul 2020 13:29:16
Watch yourself kev you cannot say that on here.

4.) 30 Jul 2020 13:31:42
Cedric Itten from St Gallen looks a decent player, 16 goals and 4 assists in the season, 1 year left on his contract and 23yr old, would probably get him for a reasonable price with 1 year left on his contract, been capped twice for Switzerland.

5.) 30 Jul 2020 13:42:33
Exactly kev. move on to next target.

6.) 30 Jul 2020 13:47:31
Difference fae saying we move on to what a lot of fans seem to be saying mally.
The f**k him, he's only interested in money brigade. I've even seen people hoping he gets a nasty injury. (Not on here)
That kind of thing over the top and out of order.

7.) 30 Jul 2020 15:10:58
Yes Kev, the lad is entitled to say no if he doesn't think it's for him. As long as we move on quickly elsewhere and don't sit around waiting to hear from him then it won't make much of a difference in the long run. HH.

8.) 30 Jul 2020 16:57:10
He won't be going to West brom. Bilic doesn't want him.

9.) 30 Jul 2020 17:01:16
Sad that he doesn't think much in playing the likes of Sevco 4 times a year but understandable just move on to the next one on the list no hard feeling towards him for his decision.

28 Jul 2020 22:52:27
DR and evening times reporting it was us who made the bid and has rise to 6million has been rejected. also reports the player would prefer us with the relationship he has with strachan. if true I wonder if we will go back in.

28 Jul 2020 18:37:33
peterborough chairman said they have received a bid from a scottish club for toney.

1.) 28 Jul 2020 18:58:25
Aye and he's informed Celtic out of courtesy. So the deluded must be splashing the morellos cash before its even in the bank.

2.) 28 Jul 2020 19:31:45
Did he say whether it was a recent bid or one from a while ago? The rumour atm is Rangers signing a striker from Osijek so chances are it's us he's talking about.

3.) 28 Jul 2020 19:46:17
not sure. just said a bid received from a scottish side.

4.) 28 Jul 2020 20:40:17
Also says that championship clubs have bid for him as well . Could we even compete with the wages and transfer fees the championship pays nowadays?

5.) 28 Jul 2020 21:31:38
It would depend on what the player wants. Ie. Does he want massive wages or does he want to play in Europe does he want to win cups and leagues does he want to be part of a team that makes history by winning 10 in a row. So it depends on what the player wants other than money.

6.) 28 Jul 2020 23:01:22
Aye, The Sevies have made an offer of 8 million quid paying it up at £2 a week for 4 million weeks.

22 Jul 2020 11:04:38
Wouldn't normally post anything like this guys but anyway my mate done Steven fletchers carpets yesterday said it's a done deal just paperwork to be sorted. diest fill me with excitement it has to be said.

1.) 22 Jul 2020 12:04:40
You would think they would sort the paperwork before fitting the carpet. New carpets tend not to get people over excited so don't worry.

{Ed007's Note - You've obviously never met my wife, her sisters or even my mum and sister! A new carpet will instigate a feverish round of phonecalls to arrange viewing times of said new carpet.}

2.) 22 Jul 2020 12:13:20
Altim thank god ma rumour is better than your patter or this site would be a rubbish read

3.) 22 Jul 2020 12:14:39
Have you heard anythin on Fletcher ed.

{Ed007's Note - He's looking to move back up here but I can't see that being to Celtic. Could Aberdeen or Hibs afford him? Maybe a replacement for Morelos if he goes?}

4.) 22 Jul 2020 12:28:46
👍fletchers getting on a bit wouldn't fancy him so that's good to hear.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

5.) 22 Jul 2020 12:29:40
EDD007 what’s the word on this keeper is it a knock back or bid still to go in?

{Ed007's Note - There's been further talks with AEK, that's all I know for now.}

6.) 22 Jul 2020 12:35:54
Give me some credit Liam, been stuck in house on furlough with the Mrs for last 4 months. brain cells have died. I really hope your rumour is simply that, a rumour and nothing more.

7.) 22 Jul 2020 12:44:52
Aberdeen could be a shout ed especially if they lose Cosgrove.

{Ed007's Note - That's what I was thinking, Kev.}

8.) 22 Jul 2020 14:42:09
Altim I hope it's that aswell but phoned my mate after he msgd me and after the last post I posted to ed and my mate is telling me Fletcher said Celtic is a done deal my mates not the kind of guy to be at it so I'm thinking Fletcher himself could be a wind up merchant.

9.) 22 Jul 2020 15:15:50
Ed, while we're all picking your brain, do you think Lewis Ferguson coming to us is on the cards? There's been a bit of debate about whether he could replace the midfield dig when Brown leaves.

{Ed007's Note - I'm sure when Ferguson is available we'll be in for him.}

10.) 22 Jul 2020 15:15:57
If we had signed Fletcher back when he was at hibs we would never have lost the league to a cheating oldco.

11.) 22 Jul 2020 15:23:07
I'd rather have Fletcher than Bayo.

12.) 22 Jul 2020 15:44:19
Cheers Ed. There was a bit of a buzz about him making a move this summer but it's died right down.

13.) 22 Jul 2020 15:48:04
Whats the use of replacing one useless dud for another Buster?

Ed do you think the ferguson signing would hinge on how soro works out?

{Ed007's Note - No. He's one of the best young Scottish players in the league so it would be stupid to not be interested.}

14.) 22 Jul 2020 16:42:27
Thats the way I see it as well but the money men might be different.

{Ed007's Note - Just the usual problems then lol.}

15.) 22 Jul 2020 17:29:07
Fletcher to old now but he was certainly no dud.

16.) 22 Jul 2020 17:30:45
Only for experience Kev. Bayo just doesn't look the part at all. It will be a long tough season with the number of games we will have. Good option for a plan B if we need to go long. I don't think he would need long to settle and would breeze it in the league.

17.) 22 Jul 2020 18:30:08
Why would Fletcher need to get carpet laid if he was leaving England and coming to Scotland.

18.) 22 Jul 2020 20:26:14
Fletcher was rank rotten in his prime. Best thing about him was his agent. A striker that a goal once every 4 games and never even managed 15 in a season.

Buster most of our team are more experienced than him. Our team is full of international footballers that know how to win leagues and trophies.

Has no one learn about bringing these old players up from England like Cole, Ljungberg, kazim-richards, Murphy ect ect ect.

19.) 22 Jul 2020 21:15:17
Can't disagree with you Kev. If the original post is to be believed I'm just saying I'd take him over Bayo.

If it was up to me I wouldn't have either.

Weismann and Ajeti both look good, need to admit its only from YouTube videos.

20.) 23 Jul 2020 07:37:31
Can throw stats all you want very easy to look up Fletcher would have been a great signing for us before moving down there in his prime. i bet you were one of the boo boys when the deal didn't happen.

21.) 23 Jul 2020 13:55:18
Bet I've never booed anything to do with celtic in my life.

Great signing? he's not been a great signing for ANY club he's ever signed for. He hardly scores a goal .

22.) 23 Jul 2020 17:08:46
great signing aye. no doubt he would've scored plenty for us and offered more than goals.

23.) 23 Jul 2020 20:19:58
The longer it is since we didn’t buy Fletcher, the better a player he was .
He may have done a job for us, but he really wasn’t a massive loss.

11 Jul 2020 21:57:24
the wolfsberger has confirmed we have put a bid on the table for weissman.

1.) 11 Jul 2020 22:54:01
seems griff in bother as well.

2.) 11 Jul 2020 23:14:50
aye kev looks that way no excuse not to be fit.

3.) 12 Jul 2020 00:51:49
Love the wee man, but its getting too mutch.

4.) 12 Jul 2020 06:59:03
Annoyed with Griffiths that's just unprofessional. There was nothing to do during lockdown no excuses. Lennon must be raging with him.

5.) 12 Jul 2020 09:18:36
Haven't seen the stories re: Griff, but if its just a case of him coming back overweight I say cut the lad some slack: there's a C.V. on fer feck sake. We all know, surely, that its hard to deal with sometimes.

6.) 12 Jul 2020 11:11:42
He's a professional athlete who gets paid a considerable amount of money to be in top condition. Lockdown is no excuse.

7.) 12 Jul 2020 11:20:40
He was supported and encouraged by the club and the fans the whole time he was out . it's not asking much to come back from lockdown fit av got boys that have managed it and they do t have the facilities he's got. disgrace.

8.) 12 Jul 2020 11:26:16
Why does Griffiths get a free pass because of C.V.?

9.) 12 Jul 2020 11:43:53
Could be substance in it with the stories about Griffiths coming out. Silly of him not keeping in shape when you see Klimala putting on 3.5kg of muscle during the break only for Griffiths to come back overweight he's only going to fall down the pecking order again. Bayo doesn't look to be in the frame for a start so another striker is needed.

10.) 12 Jul 2020 13:17:57
If it is true why should he get a free ride Cava?
Have the rest of the squad not been in lock down as well?
He's had time to make plenty Tik tok videos but can't stay in shape?

If its true and that is a big IF with the Scottish press then he deserves his baws booted.

11.) 12 Jul 2020 13:42:44
Hi, Ninja67, Kev83 I'm not proposing a free pass or free ride. By all means boot his baws. I just feel that a certain amount of compassion might be in order, especially as he has a record of emotional or psychological difficulties. I don't know what these are--and I don't much care. I also think the support he has received from the club seems to have been superb.

I'm just saying these are trying times. The whole country is drinking more (and probably eating more too) . He does need to get with the program now, but so long as he does I'll be happy with that.

12.) 12 Jul 2020 15:26:09
No excuses with the magnitude of next season to turn up out of shape. The clubs been good to him over the years with his troubles off field so he should have turned up in peak condition to make up for missing a big chunk of last season. Maybe he's injured and not been able to do a great deal of training from home who knows.

13.) 12 Jul 2020 15:56:33
cava the club has stuck with griffiths through a lot of problems. Several of his own making like the refugee chats ect but it can't go on forever. Eventually they are going to say enough is enough.

14.) 12 Jul 2020 17:33:20
Apparently the bid never happened ther using Celtic to start a bidding war.

I'm not afraid to admit I'm like a kid waiting for xmas here. i've missed this big time.

31 Jul 2020 11:45:22
I would get barkas straight in on Sunday

Goals galore in that team.

1.) 31 Jul 2020 12:46:06
Probably our strongest 11 at the moment there LL. Ntcham for me over Christie in a middle 3 plus his form over pre season should make him a guaranteed starter for the first game. Hopefully Taylor is 100% fit after that trauma.

2.) 31 Jul 2020 13:21:04
Ntcham is not in my best midfield 3 He does not work hard enough that is why no one is bidding for him, Rogic and Ntcham are bit part players and will never hold down a regular spot like Brown or MacGregor. That is why we are looking at Turnbull and other midfielders.

3.) 31 Jul 2020 13:50:55
I also prefer Christie over Ntcham because he is more reliable.
But It’s a subject that splits the camp in the Celtic support.

4.) 31 Jul 2020 15:00:41
Christie everyday of the week works harder for the team scores more goals gets more assists easy decision.

5.) 31 Jul 2020 15:04:37
Ntcham is talented but lazy. Christie runs himself into the ground every game. Christie for me every time. Regardless though we have strength on our bench 💪.

6.) 31 Jul 2020 15:09:59
Ntcham is more talented than Christie. Agree with most comments sadly he doesn't do enough on the park.

7.) 31 Jul 2020 15:38:38
I agree with Christie’s work rate, he gives everything . He also had a great return of goals last year, my only argument would be is that he never dominates a game against better opposition. Even when we play sevco he rarely stands out if at all .

8.) 31 Jul 2020 16:04:08
Why one striker? hh.

9.) 31 Jul 2020 16:51:33
Klimala and Eddy up front.

10.) 31 Jul 2020 18:11:51
Quinn he was outstanding in some of the el games mate it's unfair to say he didn't turn up against sevco none of the players did eddy and cal Mac aside he is arguably our best player the stats speak for themselves.

11.) 31 Jul 2020 19:32:04
Ntcham is a must for me. He was one of the reasons we started pulling away after the break last season.

12.) 31 Jul 2020 20:45:56
In a midfield three Ntcham has more nouse about him and can use his body to out muscle players, drives into space well and usually picks out the right pass. Christie for me is a little too clumsy in the tackle and less effective there. If we are playing with a CAM I prefer Christie as he's far more productive energetic and creative in terms of goals as a number 10. That's just my opinion and I'm sure people see it differently.

13.) 31 Jul 2020 21:26:13
It's the same old story, when the midfield formation, is being discussed, there is one name that is there without any argument and its the one name I would leave out of the midfield.

14.) 31 Jul 2020 23:45:24
I agree aindoh love broony but think he should be used sparingly bring him on if we are 2-0 or 1-0 up and we need to defend but I doubt Lennon will drop him but I think this season will be his last.

15.) 01 Aug 2020 16:45:45
Aindoh, I am not allowing the radio to decide that Browne shouldn’t play for us, I think we are better with 3 midfielders . To play 3 midfielders we need 4, as we can’t expect 3 to carry the load every match . In that case we don’t need to decide who are our best 3, but hope that N Lennon gets the 3 that are most up for match and going to play best in game.

30 Jul 2020 17:08:04
clubs have voted to go ahead with the 5 subs this season. good news for our youngsters i think they get more game time with this.

1.) 30 Jul 2020 20:13:54
What is the point of five subs?, I think they would be better changing the red card rule, so if a player gets red carded, the team can bring on a substitute, will stop games being spoiled by an uneven number on opposing sides, and make it if a player gets red carded it's an automatic two or three game ban.

2.) 30 Jul 2020 22:07:39
What a load of nonsense.

3.) 30 Jul 2020 22:10:51
U can't be serious aindoh 😂😂😂.

4.) 30 Jul 2020 22:28:48
At least keV Kyle suggestion was laughable. I'm not sure if you are serious.

5.) 30 Jul 2020 22:41:12
Yeah and out come all the clubbers to nobble your star player and take one for the team knowing that should they get sent off they will be replaced. Bizarre idea.

6.) 31 Jul 2020 00:32:55
Ok, make it a four game ban for a red card, and allow the substitution for the player dismissed, I'm just thinking a way ahead of you guys, I said on here a couple of years ago, why doesn't the greatest manager we have ever had, play two up front, and I was ridiculed, because it wasn't modern football, no successful team played with two up front, now it is becoming the norm again,
Losing a player for four games as a direct punishment for a red card must be a deterrent, .
I say, give it a chance, .

7.) 31 Jul 2020 08:57:06
Aindoh youve got to be the biggest wind up merchant on this page. You can't be serious with half the rubbish you post.

8.) 31 Jul 2020 10:00:12
Why change the red card rule. We don't get many anyway and it will only help sevco out 😉.

9.) 31 Jul 2020 10:40:45
Not sure I'm with aindoh on the red card rule but one thing I would change is the Extra Time situation. I'd go straight to penalties. Unplanned for extra time bughers up public transport and increases the risk of player injury.

05 Jul 2020 14:28:52
with the keeper situation we are in and different names getting mentioned just a post on the on one of the best keepers I've seen live the ex orlando keeper joe bendik what a keeper this guy is absolutely outstanding and would run through a brick wall to come out and collect a cross, i think he still plays in the MLS and probably at a decent price, would anybody else like to go down the american route there keepers are always decent they seem to be top class at all hand sports,

28 Jun 2020 14:06:08
guys is it just me or am i being selfish but I'm struggling to understand why supporters won't be in stadiums from the start of the season obviously with limited capacity and regulations in place when basically everything else is getting opened up on july 15.

1.) 28 Jun 2020 14:25:33
The whole situation has become more confusing and even duplicitous depending on who you listen to or take guidance from.
If certain indoor facilities and venues are accessible with controlled entry and strict spacing rules; then you would think football stadia would be allowed some sort of limited attendance?
The problem may be who gets in and who doesn't and what about crowds gathering just on the off-chance of entry or just to be involved?
It's a subject that will be addressed at stage 4 I'm sure.

2.) 28 Jun 2020 16:13:26
Don’t think working out spacing for crowd capacity would be to difficult, I think the safety issues are getting supporters in and out of stadiums at a safe social distance.
Toilet facilities would be another concern, lounges and hospitality would remain closed.
The costs for extra staff required Would be sky high, there’s also the planning behind the scenes on which fans to invite on a weekly basis.
Personally I think it will be a while before fans are allowed back into stadiums, Hope I’m wrong because the thought of not seeing the hoops in near future is soul destroying.

3.) 28 Jun 2020 17:26:19
Also transport to and from the game hh.

ed do you think there's something in the boy Aaronsen. thinking if we have scouted the boy mckenzie maybe he's stood out while doing so. he looks a talent.

{Ed007's Note - I don't know much about Brenden Aaronson, Liam except from what I've read and if it's true what folk are saying/writing then I'd imagine that we will have noticed him while scouting McKenzie.}
