Get James McLean and Lewis Ferguson signed up for the 10 that will tip the Rangers over the edge.

1.) 27 May 2020 10:08:22
Ferguson no thanks better at the club and better out there.

2.) 27 May 2020 10:10:53
I know we've had many rangers fans as players in the past. but the way his family is steeped in there ways I do not think his heart would be in helping us get 10. there's rangers fans then there's loyal rangers fans if ye get my drift and I think his family are the loyal kind.

{Ed007's Note - The Ferguson family aren't like that mate, their mum is a lovely women and Barry's wife and their oldest kid at least (maybe all 3 of them) are Catholics and went to Celtic Park with Maggie's dad on season tickets bought by Barry.}

3.) 27 May 2020 10:36:09
Ed’s spot on Barry’s kids have been to a few matches at Celtic.
Lewis Ferguson is a kid with good potential a can see similarities with a young Scott Brown would let us give Broony a rest when needed.

4.) 27 May 2020 11:15:05
Don't think either are good enough tbh.

5.) 27 May 2020 11:19:51
ed007. surprised with that mate I just assumed they would have been right staunch rangers men and the whole family. I watch open goal and Derek Ferguson does seem like a decent guy.

{Ed007's Note - I'm pretty sure that both Derek and Barry have said when asked that it would be up to Lewis to decide and he'd need to do what was best for his own career if Celtic came calling and that he has the mental strength to handle the pressure.
I don't think it'll happen as I think Ferguson's next move will be down south but when you look around Scottish football he's one of the best midfielders outside Celtic and he's only 20/21.}

6.) 27 May 2020 12:19:01
ed007. they boy has got abit a dig about him definitely mate. and i can only see him improving do you think Celtic would be interested in him.

{Ed007's Note - Yeah I do simply because he is a top young talent right on our doorstep.}

7.) 27 May 2020 14:07:29
Ad sign him and I’m hoping we will he’s got potential to be right good player and he has a wee nasty streak so will do for me.

8.) 27 May 2020 15:34:17
You want someone in our midfield who when he goes into a safari park the animals roll up their windows.

9.) 28 May 2020 00:07:12
I like Lewis Ferguson, energy, dig, drive, commitment, passion, can score goals. Saw him against Burnley in Europe and he really stood out against them, he has the attributes to make it at a club like ours. If we have the chance to sign him we should, could be Browns successor in my opinion.

10.) 28 May 2020 11:24:20
He definitely has a bit of dig in him because he might have finished up with the most bookings in the league last season.
Scott Brown was similar for years.
Lewis will adapt his game with experience, the same as Brown.

11.) 28 May 2020 22:51:24
Ferguson is DEFINITELY worth the effort if we can make it happen. That's a lad who will be a major player for whatever team is lucky to sign him. He's young, he has grit, he has balls and he has self confidence in spades. If it's 2-4m then he'll be worth every penny. HH.

12.) 29 May 2020 11:41:54
Bob - 2-4m? Remember this is the Sheep we're talking about and if The Wig wanted 10m for McKenna and he's a carthorse, then they'd be looking for crazy money for Ferguson.

13.) 29 May 2020 17:34:08
He might turn out to be a better player than McGinn wouldn't mind signing him and loaning him back to Aberdeen for the next season or 2 to keep him progressing and getting games as right now he wouldn't dislodge anyone in the team atm. By then Brown may be considering retirement.

{Ed007's Note - What if Ntcham moves on?}

14.) 29 May 2020 22:50:58
You are spot on there, the only way we can improve the midfield, improve the creativity, improve the mobility, bring the team up to another level, is if Brown retires because there is no way he will be dropped.

15.) 30 May 2020 17:06:22
Ed am glad you said that about barry Ferguson and that. I have know for a long time he's not like that even though he is a proud rangers man. Spoke to him years ago and was a real nice guy to me. Few weeks before he had problems in glasgow with a group of neds and he was really angry with himself for getting caught up in it. Said his mammy went tonto.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

1.) 20 Mar 2022 20:58:39
Cheers Ed i had a mare of a day yesterday trying to paint and decorate ended up missing game and nearly decorating the walls with her.

{Ed007's Note - You should have got Gerry McGinn to do it for mate's rates. ?

Japaneasy, Can't wait toget into work today
wonder what excuses they will all have, lights too bright, fans to noisy, ballboys abusing players, absolutely fantastic performance from everyone and when we get a full squad fit and playing it will be sensational. Massive praise to Ange thank god eddie howe bottled it.

19 Jan 2022 20:36:48
Souny1888 how did your kid do at the game on monday? Hope he enjoyed it all and had a great time.

1.) 20 Jan 2022 06:52:44
He had a great time Campsie, thanks for asking mate, , he was cheering when we scored and clapping, he loved the light show at the start, brilliant, he was getting tired about 80mins so I just took him, homelooking forward to the Dundee Utd game ?.

2.) 20 Jan 2022 09:40:55
Delighted the young man had a great day. He will have to bug for it now.

3.) 20 Jan 2022 13:41:17
Great glad to hear it! that’s what it’s all about mate, it was a cold night for it but some fantastic football played and a few new stars on show so was a good experience for the youngster! Here’s hoping it’s the first of many for him and you together.

24 Jun 2021 20:07:52
JFP a late reply to your previous post not sure if it was tongue in cheek mate but incase not you should have got an email when you bought your ticket to tell you how but here goes to attend the games now you have purchased your season book you now have to go into single tickets and click match tickets and apply and this puts you in the ballot for attending games! 🤣 incase you want to buy your season book and stick to the home entertainment instead!

1.) 24 Jun 2021 21:21:36

I hope you’re doing well.

I was down by last Sunday for mass for the first time this year which was magic.

Thanks for coming back to me no it wasn’t tongue in cheek. You had me worried. I thought I’d shelled out £1100 and maybe didn’t want to go to games?

My daughter said there is a link I have to click on after 24 hours before 1st July to tell them who I’m coming with etc.?

Is that right?

Aye Celtic here’s a grand but I don’t want to come to games. Same as I didn’t want to come last season or at end of season before.

Ffs. Are this mob for real or am I missing something?

2.) 25 Jun 2021 06:15:27
That’s great mate!
Iv been up a few times for a wonder round and met wee john and Michael, was hoping the cabin would have been opened well before now but September I’m told!

Yes the buying of season books then asking if you would like to attend games is a bit bizarre but it’s Celtic nothing will surprise us just now!

Glad you are well mate and hopefully see you up there soon!

3.) 25 Jun 2021 07:27:28
You answered your own question. "Who im i coming with". How would Celtic know who you go to football with. That's the whole point of the opt in.
Hopefully we will be back in soon and this will be irrelevant.

Neil Lennon Tactical genius.
hope he does the decent thing and resign was gutted when he got appointed he's done nothing to change that.

1.) 26 Aug 2020 21:49:01
I wish hed go as well . not a fan and his in-game management is way below average.

2.) 26 Aug 2020 21:59:27
TAXI for Lennon NOW not tomorrow not Friday NOW. Two strikers sitting watching the game with Christie as the main striker baffling.

Agreed mally it’s a disgrace and makes for anti football when left dry and unattended against certain teams. What players must think seeing those types of pitch in a top level league.

No mate a didn’t really agree with that comment just the fact i think it can be improved! Am all for giving youth a chance as i have said before i will never forget a clown sitting near me saying Cal Mac was never celtic class when he was coming through! ad love to see the guy now! it was clear as day he had something when he was coming through, we all seem to give jonny foreigner time over a youngster and iv been guilty of it myself. There are decent youths out there it’s getting them to the next level.

I can see where Magic Pole is coming from, our youth set up does need a revamp in terms of coaches and jobs for the boys, Can we honestly say we have the best possible coaches in those positions? i’m not so sure! also our so called pathway, there’s none for kids, we must be able to produce them if the likes of man city bayern and liverpool are coming cherry picking our best kids. Ad happily sacrifice the domestic cups of it ment our youths were getting tested in those competitions, the leagues our bread and butter.

{Ed007's Note - I'm not saying it can't and shouldn't be improved/bettered, CB but how can anyone realistically or honestly say?

"I haven’t seen a single one of the latest batch who will ever be a first team cert. Not a single one. If you think there is you’re on the Deludamol."

It used to be people said a player is only as good as his last game, with a lot of Celtic fans it's now a player is only as good as his last touch and when it's youth players they're just written off immediately for no other reason than being a kid, it's always just complete negativity towards them, never mind how nervous these lads are not just to be playing for a massive club like Celtic but even the step up to the first team squad, mixing with guys they've watched from afar and looked up to - even idolised, suddenly they're getting recognised in the street, their mam & dad are getting stopped to get congratulated etc it's a massive change of life and these kids need nurtured and encouraged, not wrote off after only playing a few minutes.}
