Today is August 6th.
A great memory for me. August 6th 1966 was a Saturday, and we played the great Manchester United in a pre season starter, at Celtic Park. We were terrific and outclassed them 4-1. I was thrilled, Man U were full of household names, and we destroyed them.
It was the start of a wonderful year of 1966/ 67, and as you all know, our greatest season ever.

{Ed007's Note - We started the season by beating the team who would win the EC the following season and finished the season beating Real Madrid who had won the 1966 EC.}

That was Sion Stevie,
It was my Son’s 10th Birthday and he was gutted we got beat 3-1 I think.

I told him to cheer up because I knew Sion were getting kicked out, before a ball was kicked.

Sion got booted out for fielding about 5 ineligible players. Bit worse than the Legia game.
