Either the Norwich manager is playing funny buggers or he's deadly serious. his comments that idah is a massive part of his plans doesn't bode well for us.

The Norwich manager didn’t sound as if he was playing mind games to me he sounded as if he thought Idah has something to offer his team and therefore wanted to retain his services.

I think Norwich manager knows that Idah is for off, he is interested in getting as much money as possible as he needs money to buy new players . He also as a new Norwich manager wants to impress the supporters by giving an impression that he will be a tough negotiator for club .
His comments are completely opposite to his predecessor who loaned out and came after substituting Idah after just 33 mins, in a previous arranged move.

The Norwich manager could say anything he wants in an interview to get the boy to stay, he could even say Idah will be his main striker and will play a huge part in the team, then when the season kicks off Idah could find himself on the bench
The reality is if we want him and he wants to leave then the deal will get done once we match Norwich's valuation.

According to reports Norwich knocked back our initial £4.5M bid.

I'd hope that if we're serious about trying to sign Idah we get an improved offer on the table ASAP because if we end up walking away from this one, we need time to sign an alternative.

We will sign Idah whenever and if ever Norwich decide they don’t want a player who has clearly stated his preference to play for Celtic . Norwich are unlikely to be stuck on their price demand, as in January they were discussing a £3m deal tied to a loan with an Italian club.
