One thing is sure those who push their way out from us and go to the greener field are almost certain to be in for a disappointment . Celtic are as big a club as most can handle and our top players are looked after well by club and over 60,000 adoring fans at all home fans . Our stars either go to bigger clubs in big leagues and lose their way or try to be the bigger fish in another club, neither work out very often.

All Hail Stein, Hay went on strike to force a well deserved wage rise, he was actually not looking for a fortune and in fact after the 74 World cup he had decided he was staying at Celtic, to bolster his income he was going to invest in a pub.
In pre season Celtic decided to sell him as a warning to others at the club Hay didn't ask for the transfer.
Incidentally if he had stayed I believe 100% that recently we would have been attempting our second 10 in a row!

Hay wanted to leave, he couldn't get down the road fast enough, same with Macari, who was up to his neck in debt to bookies, if you don't want to play for Celtic, the biggest club in the world, jog on.
