The SPFL could have a dilemma about the dates for the post-split fixtures.
Normally the 5 remaining fixtures are announced a couple of days after the 33rd league game and that gives each club about 12 days notice.
The Scottish Cup Semi Final is always the weekend in between the 33rd and 34th league matches.
The SPFL will be struggling to announce a midweek date for the Top 6 fixtures because they won't know if Sevco have qualified for the Europa Semi-Final.
The SPFL might be forced to wait until the Friday April 15th to announce the post-split fixtures. That will still give the top clubs a week to prepare for the first match after the split.
The first 2 midweeks after the split would collide with Europa League Semi-Final dates.
That would only leave one midweek date available and that would be only 4 days before the final match of the season.
Normally we would all know the post-split fixtures soon after the 33rd game but I think the SPFL will need to wait until the Friday because I can't see them having the last 2 league fixtures of the season being played only 4 days apart.

They need to announce when they normally do. If it turns out rangers can't play their midweek game, then it is their job to arrange an alternative before the end of the season.

No league extension under any circumstances as none was given to us the year we got to Seville.

I mentioned earlier today Mally that both Celtic and Sevco could end up playing 61 games each this season, so definitely No extension.
The SPFL have 3 options.
Option 1 - Announce the fixtures as normal on Monday April 11th and the midweek fixture for the Top 6 clubs will be the 4th post-split match,4 days before the last game of the season.
Option 2 - Wait until the Friday April 15th to see if Sevco have qualified for the Europa Semi- Finals before announcing the post-split fixtures.
Option 3 - Announce the fixtures as normal on the Monday and if Sevco qualify for the Semi-Final they will need to play their rearranged midweek fixture 4 days before the last game of the season.

If they try and do anything against the norm, then I would expect Celtic to challenge it, even if it means going to court.

Rangers have had enough preferential treatment and are the club least deserving after all their shenanigans. The sooner mark II follow the fate of mark I, the better for all of Scottish football.

To be fair AngeAtWork the season wasn't extended when dead rangers got to Manchester, it's always finished on a Thursday night.

AngeAtWork,
I didn’t know the post-split dates have already been decided and the dates will not interfere with the European run of Sevco.
Game 34 - Weekend April 23rd
Game 35 - Weekend April 30th
Game 36 - Weekend May 7th
Game 37 - Midweek May 11th
Game 38 - Weekend May 14/ 15th
I don’t think it’s been decided if the last match will be the Saturday or the Sunday.
I’m guessing the SPFL will announce the last Top 6 fixtures will be played on the Saturday because there’s still a tiny chance that Sevco could reach the Europa League Final on May 18th and it would give them an extra day to prepare.
The Scottish Cup Final will be the following Saturday May 21st.

Wont matter as Braga will beat them.

The league was extended when they got to Manchester, although it was only a short extension and not as much as they would have liked.
